Yeah, I don’t see the problem here. Those are the pages with the download links (and also instructions to use them, for folks who need it)
What did you want, a direct download link to a file? An FTP site?
You literally got what you asked for. There are plenty of examples of Google search sucking, this is you just being pissy because there’s instructions on a download page.
Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
First of all: Please don’t tell me how impractically this might be or confusing or whatever. This is like a thought experiment and let’s be honest: We don’t JUST want efficiency when modding our desktops – we also want it to look sick and individual and have people watch in admiration – or something like that. So keep...
I mean, fans have been screaming at them for years to bring this stuff back. I, for one, am excited for it.
That being said, I hope that the creative mentality that brought us these games in the first place is rekindled and we see some original stuff with the arcade flare that made these titles so good
Nintendo is the only one with a reason to keep making consoles. Xbox and PS5 are essentially PCs in a fancy box (although PS5 has a really fancy sound card)
Exactly, it’s a portable you can dock to a TV. The PS5 is a fancy alternative-hardware pc. The Xbox is literally a PC. I suppose you could make an argument for price, but hardware wise they’re not really all that special these days.
Another player who was at the table during the incident sent me this meme after the problem player in question (they had a history) left the group chat....
ZFS cache will mark itself as such, so if the kernel needs more RAM for applications it can just dump some of the ZFS cache and use whatever it needs.
I see lots of threads on homelab where new users are like “HELP MY ZFS IS USING 100% MEMORY” and we have to talk them off that ledge: unused RAM is wasted RAM, ZFS is making sure you’re running fast AF.

The world in 2023 increased its annual emissions by 398 million metric tons, but it was in three places: China, India and the skies. China’s fossil fuel emissions went up 458 million metric tons from last year, India’s went up 233 million metric tons and aviation emissions increased 145 million metric tons....
Considering a very similar article was recently posted here with “China, US, and India” instead of “China, India, and aviation”, methinks there be some fuckery happening…
Aquafers do not refill as quickly as industry sucks them dry. It’s not just a Bitcoin or even a cloud computing problem, but the author is using this fact to make Bitcoin look even more ridiculous.
Vaporware is when software devs make claims about how great their yet-to-be-written software will be. Then, they never create it, either out of a lack of skill, time, or funding. Vaporware has, by definition, no proof of concept.
Hardware is a bit harder to call “Vaporware” since presumably they have working prototypes.
Yeah, what is the alternative? “Oh you can assemble your own raspberry pi kit, after you partition an SD card and install a special version of Linux you can then tunnel it to a vpn and BitTorrent all your movies and shows using the -arr software suite and then use a package manager to install Kodi or jellyfin to watch, and maybe if you put docker on it you can use HomeAssistant to dim your lights when watching”
Meanwhile their iPhone autocorrects half those words to something else.
Man I hate this flippant pseudointelligent passive-aggressive crap.
Yes, not everyone missed their childhood to learn Linux like we did. People don’t have the time or knowledge to build their own streaming box. None of their friends are ever impressed when they do anyway.
Those people are all busy specializing in something else, so that you or I don’t have to learn to farm, or manufacture Cheetos, or keep the water running.
This is being extremely exploited by late-stage capitalism now, however. What we need are some ethical choices for stuff like smart devices, things that don’t need “cloud connection” just so your phone can turn your lights on. FFS they’re right next to each other, we don’t need to bring CloudFlare into this.
I just got up from conversation with a couple of older black men, that I said “well I got to go back to work and start cracking the whip.” And it occurred to me then that it was probably a really insensitive stupid thing to say....
The only thing I hate is the impatience with which some people act when something offends them.
I get that anger or frustration is the motivator but if this person who offended you is not just some random asshole, speak up and explain first. Maybe some people aren’t pieces of shit, they’re just repeating phrases they’ve heard a million times and never thought about.
Not everyone’s had that moment of realization that there is a ton of colloquial slang that is (or has been repurposed to be) a really fucked up dog whistle.
Maybe it’s time we automate all the work away and realize that our individual existence doesn’t need to depend on our contributions to society (*based on availability, time of year, race, luck-of-birthplace, shareholder whims)
If art is dead, it’s because it wasn’t readily manufacturable enough for capital. Most things aren’t. Why do we continue to let them rule everything? It’s clearly not working.
You were not getting excited over nothing; if you can figure out how to download steam, how to purchase a game with it, and how to open and play it, installing a mod isn’t that much harder. Download some files, put them in the right folder, open the game.
The angle is “there are Nazis in Ukraine’s military who are there to do revenge on former USSR’s army and Zelinski is secret Nazi Jew and Ukrane is going to do Fourth Reich”
Which you need to believe the propaganda of Russia, instead of the USA, to even consider
So you’re still being brainwarped by a huge superpower bent on world domination; just this time you think Russia is fighting the good leftist communist fight but that ship sailed in 1990
