I didn’t see anyone mention streamers. For me that has to be Asmongold. He is now just drama farmer and reacts to videos and reddit all day. I would even say he is slowly turning into another Andrew Tate.
I just realized it only recently, but Asmongold was going downhill for a few years. He wasn’t my favorite streamer, but watched him here and there.
List of my streamers is slowly shrinking. Nowdays I mostly watch Lirik. He just became a dad like a year ago. As far as I know he has no problems. Only thing that some people are not liking about him is that when NFTS came out, he wanted to make some, he didn’t at the end. I don’t really blame him. When NFTS came out even I thought it was interesting for little while.
My second most watched streamer is probably Elajjaz, I discovered him only a year ago. He is a variety streamer who really likes Dark Souls and similar games. I don’t think I acually saw him “react” to videos. He just plays games.
LilAggy’s stream looks interesting, I gave him a follow. Will see if we click.
I know about both of them, but Josh doesn’t stream in my free time, so I only watch his youtube videos here and there. Pirate Software doesn’t play games. I knew about him even before he blew up, but I like streamers who play games, like sure, talk about interesting stuff, your life, etc but I need some game in the background. Don’t get me wrong, his stream is great and I check on him sometimes. But he mostly talks about how to make games and how to start making games. I don’t really need that.
SteamOS 3 for desktop (idk when, they are probably waiting until the new open source nvidia driver is mature enough. Maybe they are waiting on wine running without xwayland too… idk
Bazzite looks interesting, I might check it out. But I would still rather use SteamOS when it comes out. I like stable more, than up to date. And bazzite has so much stuffed into it and I wouldn’t use 90% of those features.
I know where you are coming from but I don’t think it’s that important especially not for me, Iam gaming right now on Linux Mint without a problem. And wasn’t steamdeck/steamos the first one who supported HDR?
I mean, I will try it. First in a virtual machine and if I like it well enough on a laptop too. But I don’t know, I used Fedora Silverblue and Kinoite before and my experience wasn’t satisfactory.
I think not going free to play is a mistake. It will cost 20 and still will have macro transactions and battle passes and less players because it’s not free to play. Game like this needs to be free to play.
Only 30 and 40 year olds with nostalgia are going to play it if it’s buy to play, why would kids pay for this game when they can play CS, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Valorant etc for free
What even is this question? Children are the biggest audience and the target audience for most of the games out there. Especially for multiplayer games.
I know it’s not even close there yet. It can tell you to kill yourself or to kill a president. But what about when I finish school in like 7 years? Who would pay for a therapist or a psychologist when you can ask for help a floating head on your computer?...
Things I didn’t look for. CP. I am trying to forget that to this day. There were children there who were a couple of months to couple of years old. When I realize some of the adults in there were probably their parents it makes me sick.
The things I looked for. Beheading. There was a reddit post about beheading without providing the video. Even though most of the commenters said that nobody should watch that, I was curious and I looked it up. Now, every time I see somebody say “trust me, you don’t want to see that”, I believe them.

I was in a similar situation. Everyone says that you shouldn’t really push too much with these types of things. Once when I was fed up with nobody coming to signal I asked everyone, (even distant family and friends when I saw them), one by one to give me their phone and I installed signal on it, told them to activate it and told them that this is the way to talk to me. If you want to talk to me this is how they do it. It was a little bit weird, but now everybody, almost everybody, I want to talk to is on signal now and they use it to talk to me too.
Some of them I even got to use element/matrix on PC.
From improvements in the efficiency of OLED materials to software developments and new testing techniques, OLED burn-in risk has been lowered. OLED monitors are generally a more sound investment than ever—at least for the right person.
I will not use oled monitors with desktop pc. With my usage, I would have burn in in 2 years if not sooner. Not counting that, I would still have that thought in my mind, that if I use it more, I will get burn in, and anytime I’m leaving the pc, even if only for a minute, I should turn it off. I like good contrast and blacks, so my next monitor will probably be good VA with local dimming.

So I got Fairphone 4, with /e/ os, a couple of days ago. When I connected it to my NextDNS I saw that it was trying to connect to some weird addresses, like every 5-10 minutes. I searched Internet a bit and found out that it was something with snapdragon cpu and location services. I travel a lot and use Organic Maps for...
I am kind of new to all these privacy things. So what do you exactly mean by getting rid of this problem? I have DNS which blocks these connections but phone is still making them. How can I make the phone stop doing that?
Ubuntu Touch is just a linux distro for your phone. I actually haven’t used it yet, but according to their website, the Fairphone 4 has really good support. So I might try it.
I use location only for/with Organic Maps, otherwise it is turned off, so using fake location seems pointless.
It looks like if I want to use gps without problems I have to allow these connections. Or switch to pixel and GrapheneOS. Other chip makers like mediatek, samsung probably have something similar, so that isnt option either. I just got this FP4 and I like it alot, so I guess I’m stuck with qualcomm getting some telemetry.
I don’t really blame fairphone for this. They would probably have to make their own chips, if they wanted control over that. Almost nobody has money for that.
I don’t hate GrapheneOS, it is probably fine. I just don’t think I would feel comfortable running an OS on my phone when its main dev acts like this. That’s just me and completely subjective.
Thanks, that was interesting and eye opening read. Do you know if he is still working on graphene os or is he out? Because some users mentioned that he left.
I had more luck using steam. Adding installer or exe as non steam game. There was only one game that did not work and worked on bottles/lutris. There was a lot more that worked on steam and didnt work on bottles/lutris. And I feel it is a lot less complicated. You just add the game and change comp. settings to proton and thats it. If it was installer, you add the new exe to the steam or edit shortcut.
Aren’t those remasters like Oblivion and Fallout 3 outsourced to some differnt studio, which is using Unreal engine for them? It won’t be very moddable then.
Pretty good wiki, a lot of indies use it. For example: Dead Cells, Deep Rock Galactic, Terraria, ARK, Cuphead, Don’t Starve, Brotato, Binding of Issac, Satisfactory etc.
Some AAA games are there too. Like Sea of Thieves, Dying Light.
It would be cool if there was some wiki with ActivityPub.
