Because it is a fact, and anyone who says “all porn is exploitive” is projecting their morals and idealism across a whole industry with zero regard for nuance.
Except they turned the boomers into class warfare zombie bots who will fight tooth and nail for them, even vs their own kin, if we don’t also toe the line.
It’s not like explaining this to them will make them suddenly snap out of it. They’ve had too many treats and too much lead, they think public school is trying to genocide the world population with “gay shit”.
Class warfare certainly got us here and continues to be a driving force, but there’s a battle on more than one front.
Just as their masters instructed, as OP suggested.
Doesn’t make them less of a problem though, so I disagree with the premise that we should just ignore material intergeneration damage they do and continue to criticize it because the root of it is class warfare. The root of literally everything is class warfare
I used Plex for my home media for almost a year, then it stopped playing nice for reasons I gave up on diagnosing. While looking at alternatives, I found Jellyfin which is much more responsive, IMO, and the UI is much nicer as well....
Yeah that could definitely be improved. There’s been talk on GitHub issues about adding support to fill Shadow DOM fields, honestly don’t know if they’ve done it yet but that would be a big help for web apps like HomeAssistant.
If you’re in the Fox, feather the throttle in tight corners to retain speed but prevent under/oversteer. Throttle whacks stop lateral skids and grip you forward in the direction you are pointing; if you get around the corner and are facing the right way a simple regrab on the throttle will send you forwards with no slide.

I am honestly kinda curious how exactly you manage your servers and keep them up to date, I feel like there is a linux patch every week or so, which would usually require a reboot. Do you all deploy live patching, how you become aware of critical stuff in your otherwise busy lives, RSS?
How do you handle the database schema changes during updates? Have two databases and disable replication during the update? How do you sync changes that occur to the backup while/after the main is upgraded?
I am an Xer who manages a small but crucial team at my workplace (in an EU country). I had a lady resign last week, and I have another who may be about to resign or I may have to let go due to low engagement. They are both Gen Z. Today it hit me: the five years I’ve been managing this department, the only people I’ve lost...
GenZ is pretty aware of the doom and gloom of the world right now, being the most online generation yet. Even without meme culture of being sucked into vapid echo chambers of any political spectrum; they know the world is headed for decline, in their lifetime.
They want to be able to live comfortably while they can, and if there is too much work/stress and not enough pay, they’ll shop around. Considering what their living costs usually are to maintain a good job, they’re willing to shop around to find decent comfort. They don’t want to spend their best years stuck working barely making ends meet only to watch it all burn around them by the time they find something that allows them to prosper.
The easiest solution might be to just look at what is returned and see if there are any duplicates with what you already have, and just filter those out. It’s not like you’re going to notice if the returned list is shorter if it loads more before you even get to the bottom.
If you get less than 1 screen of posts, ask for more.

Mah this is who they always were. If anything, they were a sort of left-wing grifter before; they said and did shit that would anyone from American libs and further left kinda say “ok thank god not all the rich privileged people are insane” but now that they’ve been caught out for doing terrible shit out of the spotlight, they go right back to their true selves and spout shit like “people with a conscience don’t want to bankroll my lavish lifestyle anymore! Can’t they just not vote with their wallets? I DESERVE that revenue! Cancel culture has gone TOO FAR now that affects my bottom line!”
Absolutely no self-awareness as to how their own hubris has done it to themselves; or absolutely no scruples about doubling down and doing anything they can to keep the cash flowing.
Remember, the worst think that can happen to a capital owner is they can become working class again. This is why they always kick and squirm.
To be perfectly clear, it took one (1) grand prix worth of play time on my monitor to make this happen. I’ve had my Acer Predator monitor for years with no burn-in from anything, and ~10 minutes with F-Zero caused this. Anyone else, or am I just unlucky?
I have IPS panels on my PC and it got into a shitty sleep/wake loop when I was away (I fucking blame discord!) and as it was going to sleep it had some distorted pixels right in the middle of the screen that persisted across reboot. I thought I had fried my GOU somehow; good to know IPS panels can behave this way
Could he have timed the announcement around his sales, or would that be something that legal would have to have ensured wasn’t happening?
If this was ongoing and regular for years then yeah it’s nothing. If there are protections in place to ensure announcements aren’t timed around the schedule then that’s even more nothing (as long as it can be proven that procedure was followed).
It still seems like a system that can easily be manipulated, but yeah if it’s legal then it’s legal and there really can’t be any punishment regardless of ethics or optics…
Yeah this is as far as I’ll take that one as well, except I’ll do one further. All that “controlled demolition” stuff is to distract rubes and make them sound like crackpots so no one takes the “hey we knew and did nothing” take seriously from anyone.

The fucked up part is charging devs who used their products under the idea that they would be charged certain fees, and now the company they built their business model around is turning around and saying “now you owe us more of a cut if you continue to offer the thing you built”.
Imagine buying a fleet of delivery vans and suddenly Ford wants 5% of your revenue forever. It’s fucking racketeering.
Watch for more products that enable normal people to do great things to become paywalled. Only your gatekeeper masters may direct the market, and the creativity. In their infinite wisdom, they demand the control of gods.
Billionaires are a mistake.
EDIT: and I love the bait-and-switch of charging anyone who ever used Unity, even under different terms. Electric chair for the CEO.
