I tried to use Calc and whatever the PPT one is called and both were incredibly laggy, even when I tweaked the hardware settings. And then there was a bizarre weird thing or two like the insert symbols not working in ribbon view.
And ribbon view didn’t really improve the fast response I need, like being able to type 5cm scaled for huge image, instead I would still need to open the settings and do many clicks for the same result.
So I just stick to that old 2007 office I still use. Oh gosh, did I mention the crashes yet?

Make sure you know location of diapers, wet tissues, milk, bottles and method of warming milk and extra clothes. Check diaper regularly, especially if they start grunting or screwing up their face. Usually they’ll pong straight away. Get them to drink water regularly (they don’t have the habit yet) and see if they want warm milk every couple of hours. A bath is entertaining but be prepared for more prep with towel, more clothes and talcum powder and whatever. And weather permitting they might not want to stay wet for long.

As well as Pons_Aelius’s input, who I think I have quoted before in another post 🤣, I reckon your body is out of balance in many other factors too, hence sports drinks can help pump electrolytes into your system, your gut isn’t too happy, and you could be genuinely lacking water. Alcohol is a poison which - paraphrasing Pons - is probably high on the priority list for your liver while the rest of your body deals with the injustice it was served.

Libre office was alright but tabbed layout was buggy, entering stuff in excel was delayed by 0.5s everytime, the math formula program required some esoteric knowledge, and libredraw messed up pdfs which foxit otherwise opened with precision. I stick to Microsoft office 2007 which does exactly what I expect.

We climbed the mountain in Kandersteg, Switzerland. I was basically a young teenager, we were on a scout trip there, with various other troops mostly from England. A bit like a jamboree. 3/4 up the mountain we got pelted by hail, and you wouldn’t believe how painful it was even under the hood of my jacket to be pelted like that, especially against the ears. Some unfortunate ones with no gloves/hood had no choice but to cover their ears with their bare hands, and these were bleeding following those few minutes of the storm.
It was exhilarating. After getting to the warmth of the chalet we also got to go across the glacier, with yawning chasms in full view literally a yard or two away from our feet. Such things few youths have done, and I would recommend it for my own children if I could.
