In a recent military attack in the Gaza Strip, Israel’s forces targeted the Naser Pediatric Hospital in Khan Yunis, marking a grim turn in the ongoing conflict. The incident resulted in the tragic death of a child already wounded and further escalated the situation as several missiles failed to detonate upon impact, posing a...
Here's more on the 12 year old that was murdered. Her family had been killed by the IDF a couple days ago and she had to have her leg amputated. She was still somehow optimistic and hoping to get a prosthetic leg in the future to be able to walk again and be a doctor when she grew up to treat other children like her.
Here's a statement by Layla Moran where updates from her relatives in the church have shown that IDF soldiers and tanks have surrounded the church in the past two days and are still shooting anyone who goes outside of it or near the windows. Several of the wounded have already died as they have no medical supplies or food or water and the electrical generator was already destroyed by the IDF.
The toilets are in a separate external building, by the way, so they can't even access the bathrooms without risking being murdered.

A German foundation has said it will no longer be awarding a prize for political thinking to a leading Russian-American journalist after criticizing as “unacceptable” a recent essay by the writer in which they made a comparison between Gaza and a Jewish ghetto in Nazi-occupied Europe.
The hypocrisy of the Heinrich Böll Foundation (and the German government in general) is incredible.
Here you have a Jewish person who is a journalist and a renowned political thinker who was being given the award for being someone who "reports on power games and totalitarian tendencies as well as civil disobedience and the love of freedom".
They 100% have the position, right, and accuracy to be comparing the state of Gaza currently to the WWII ghettos.
Edit: Something else to note. The Foundation made this statement ""But Masha Gessen's views should not be honored with a prize intended to commemorate the Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt".
And I can't help but laugh. Do they not know Arendt's past stance on Israel? She was literally one of the first world-renowned Jewish anti-Zionists.

I remember this controversy. The highway editors in question were super opposed to any form of referencing requirements for these highway articles that all other Wikipedia articles have to adhere to and wanted individual articles on the most minute small road routes.
When the editing community at large suggested having broader higher level articles that combined these much less notable articles into a bigger article that was more properly referenced and better showcased a level of importance, the highway editors...well, to put it bluntly, had a hissy fit.
"Then on the other hand you can find an article on every Pokemon on Wikipedia."
You're rather out of date with that claim. Once upon a time, like a decade or more ago, this was true. But when the notability requirements became stricter, the vast majority of Pokemon articles were removed and redirected to list articles. There are currently only 28 articles on individual Pokemon, out of a possible 1021.
The use of primary sources has long been restricted to minimal usage, since primary means any form of self-published claim. And that sort of source shouldn't contribute to any form of notability.
It's also rather inaccurate. One can use a primary source like the DOT for information to add to an article. It's just that a primary source like that doesn't contribute to general notability and importance of the subject matter. The subject needs to be shown to have relevance that has been covered in other forms than just primary sources.
Those secondary sources often aren't reliable as well. It depends on the source and its history of accuracy in reporting. There's plenty of newspapers that have been determined to not be a reliable source, including any tabloids.
"We don’t want them to be retaliated against and to be charged by the DOJ,” the House speaker said. His office later noted that DOJ already has the raw footage.
And it should be noted that their retraction statement doesn't even mention or detail what the article is in question or what it was about. So still trying to hide their failures even to the end.
Thank goodness Twitter still has Community Notes by users (for now, since Elon wants it removed because it keeps correcting his lies).
The media won’t give me great answers to this question and I think this I trust this community more, thus I want to know from you. Also, I have heard reports that Russia was winning the war, if that’s true, did the west miscalculate the situation by allowing diplomacy to take a backseat and allowing Ukraine to a large...
It's a stalemate, largely. While Russia was massively on the backfoot earlier in the year, they mined massive swaths of eastern Ukraine before partially retreating.
Which makes it unlikely for Russia to actually have any future forward progress, but it also stymies Ukraine from doing the same except extremely slowly. There's still been several victories for Ukraine over the past few months, but they haven't changed the fighting area much.
It's largely a war of attrition to wear down Russia now, who has been having more and more internal issues as time goes on.
Castelman was hit by soldier who apparently mistook him for a terrorist during Jerusalem attack, but footage shows him unarmed, with his hands in the air prior to being shot
For those who are unaware, the soldier who killed Castleman is a member of the Hilltop youth, which is a known extremist pro-settler group who want to get rid of all Palestinians in West Bank. The soldier had actually been interviewed prior to this and stated that he was really excited to "check that box", ie kill a Palestinian for the first time.
Before someone tries to make the claim, no, the hospital staff couldn't have taken the babies with them. These were premature babies in oxygen-saturated powered incubators, which could not be moved.
Possibly if a fully set up ambulance was available for each baby, it could be done, but the IDF has been bombing ambulances too and there aren't that many available anyways.
Did the IDF ever even give any evidence that the ambulance convoy they bombed did have one with Hamas members? Also, Hamas members that were using it as secret transport and not wounded members that were just hospital patients at that point?
Oh, and don't forget that the IDF have been reported on (and even video taped themselves) stealing money, jewelry, and anything else valuable they can grab in Gaza while they're there.
This article is inaccurate or at least misleading in its title presentation. It's reporting on something that happened on October 20th, as the second paragraph notes, and was never actually enacted. In fact, Biden moved back from this and has been instead moving to restrict all weaponry sales to Israel in the past few days.
Biden has not been in any form of good light in my eyes in the past two months, but please don't spread fake or misleading information like this.
The President of the Spanish Government demands from the top Israeli leaders “a viable Palestinian State” and censures the reaction to the Hamas attacks: “This catastrophe must stop; The answer cannot involve the death of innocent people, including hundreds of children.”
Wouldn't this be a violation of the BBC's charter? Considering they count as official government media, this would be actual state censorship, wouldn't it?
They didn't "edit out political speeches", they edited out entire awards being given, specifically only the ones where the winners mentioned Gaza.
Meanwhile, plenty of other speeches mentioned other political topics, as that's entirely common for award winners to mention when giving a speech. And all of those were aired without issue.
But the administration remains wary about Netanyahu’s endgame and seeming lack of a plan for what to do once Hamas is defeated. There was no sense that the pause would turn into a lengthier cease-fire, a senior administration official said. And there was some concern in the administration about an unintended consequence of the pause: that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there and turn public opinion on Israel.
Wtf? That's some evil sh*t. You don't want journalists to have access so they can accurately and truthfully report on what has happened, because it might make you look bad?
