Do you work for a tv manufacturer’s marketing department? Please make a thicker model with decent built in speakers and buttons that I don’t have to feel around for!
Edit: Also, please no smart features, they age poorly. I can provide my own…
Yeah, honestly sounds like something you’d try when you have no shame. Not that I’m judging, just there’s a certain low you have to sink to to be the first one to try that…
I’m the weird one who puts my phone on loud when I sleep. If anyone is actually calling me and not being marked as spam, it is probably a work or family emergency. Otherwise I just expect a message.
Doing drugs should be decriminalized, but not legal. Ideally when someone is found addicted to drugs they would be provided help rather than punishment. Selling drugs should remain criminal but consequences should be determined based on the amount found selling and to who (like a child or someone who’s pregnant would be a higher penalty at the discretion of the court), legalizing would just give a tax incentive for pushing drugs similar to gambling.
Edit: I want to clarify, I’m talking about addictive drugs with known negative health effects like meth. Weed can be legal, who cares.
Yeah, but we already have laws against specific drugs so this wouldn’t be any worse than what we already have, instead it’s an approach to make it safer without just saying it’s okay. But yeah the decision of if it should be a controlled substance should be left up to a board of medical professionals rather than politicians as it is now.
It’s not a substitution for socializing, it’s just an extra thing on the side for me where I can get dumb jokes out of my system. Anything is unhealthy if there’s too much of it, and if you’re finding you’re having trouble moderating usage then I agree you probably shouldn’t be on here. But I wouldn’t call it useless if you get something out of it, it just shouldn’t consume your life.
I have come across a lot’s of people like these. like 99% of them. Sometimes it makes me think twice if what i am saying is wrong? What’s wrong with them. Is it so hard to swallow your pride and acknowledge that the other person is speaking facts? When they come to know they are wrong they proceed to insult/make fun of...
Yup, and when most people are a certain way, odds are you are too. I try to keep an open mind as much as possible because it’s very hard to identify your own biases and it would be naive to believe that I am the exception to human nature.
There’s a shocking amount of small companies where a sizable proportion of the workers are family of the owner. The most perplexing example was a tax consultant whose 4 employees were his wife, his daughter, his son-in-law and his sister....
There’s nothing wrong with a family owned and operated small business, but once you start hiring outside the family you need to value the performance of all employees fairly. If somebody is working hard at your company and you promote a family member who’s slacking off to a position the good worker was eligible for then that’s nepotism.
Yeah, I understand wanting a more devoted/consistent following, but I think it would probably be better to have an incentive like an extra panel or behind the scenes information in the newsletter if you wanna attract people and not lose your casual audience.
Is anyone else super relieved that TV's don't feature those unsightly, disgusting, buttons anymore?
