lugal,

If you are a copy, you will always be in the shadow of the original

To do the lower works, robots don’t want to do

lugal,

When I ask for directions, it doesn’t take me too long to ask the next person.

But since smartphones, I barely ask anymore. Once my phone acted up so I had to ask someone. He was like “don’t you have a smartphone?” and when I explained my situation, he took his smartphone to look up the way

lugal,

It’s technically allowed in most states

Don’t worry, Rick is just grabbing some milk. He’ll return any decade now

I wouldn’t want to switch off the elevator anyway

lugal,

I agree. Five is just too much

Außer bei Tiernahrung.

Hast du nichts aus der Vergangenheit gelernt? Praktiker hat zugemacht weil sie nie Rabatte auf Tiernahrung gegeben haben

lugal,

I wish there was a spinoff. I mean a good spinoff

lugal,

I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks

The guy with the Irish accent.

In one scene he has no accent, turns out it wasn’t him but a shape shifter. I appreciate this love for details

lugal,

Schwappt Risa jetzt hier rüber? Kommen mehr Star Trek Sternenreise maimais?

lugal,

I get the joke but I still expected some tankies to show up. But then again, OP is on lemmy.world which is defederated with the tankie instances so that’s why

lugal,

Interesting, I was about to argue the opposite:

Mastodon doesn’t have a sorting algorithm to choose, it’s always sorted by new (with the little difference that boosts count but still).

I think the thing is that Lemmy users sort by all kinds of algorithms. You have the new sorter that start the conversation and keep in it when others react to it. But no one would react if all sorted by new and that’s kind of the fact on mastodon.

lugal,

Interesting. German schools teach British English. It’s with time that I was more and more influenced by American English but first and foremost I have a strong German accent

lugal,

There is an addon to reactivate the dislike display. I see dislikes but there are much less than before obviously

lugal,

I think it’s even the other way around. If you dislike, you interacted with the video, be it because it made you furious or what ever. The algorithm cares about engagement, not about liking. At least that’s what I have heard

lugal,

Isn’t that the French flag?

lugal,

TOS never reached the high level of The Cage

lugal,

Captain and first officer are both male? That has nothing to do with Gene’s vision of a brighter future. But nutrek has this patriarchal agenda all over. I wish they would keep their politics out of my star trek.

lugal,

Because sauce and horse are long and cross and boss are short, right?

I’m not a native speaker but our lord and savior Dr Lindsey made a great video about British English and what Americans get wrong about it.

For me as a second language learner, cross rhymes with boss but sauce neither rhymes with horse nor boss. But that’s just me tho.

lugal,

This is so weird, isn’t it? I reran the model thousand times, it can’t be wrong! I mean, what’s supposed to be wrong? The assumptions? That’s ridiculous! Let me readjust the factors once more…

lugal,

Easy: Let them starve and the invisible hand will take care of their bodies

lugal,

Buying a phone every year is still about five times the matter of buying a phone every five years. Also: it is quite cynical to count atoms while children work in cobalt mines. The question of resources is more complex.
