notion is good, but felt so slow. tried it out for a few months, and then did a hybrid approach with obsidian and wound up favoring and then eventually just porting everything over and fully switching to obsidian. been good.
a good compact umbrella is a core piece of kit. can just live where it is most accessible and can pop out when most needed. getting caught in a downpour is a good way to ruin a day
Hello, could someone recommended a keyboard for android that is a bit smart in predictive typing? I used to like swiftkeybefore it was bought by microsoft. Not that swiftkey itself was much better but I was not so privy conscious at that time....
and also has no predictions, which really slows it way down since you have to type out each long word the whole way through instead of just getting it to the point of uniqueness and clicking the suggestion.
I do both. Coffee ritual because it’s nice time spent. But caffeine pills for the actual alertness.
I’ve asked my partner the same question a few times. They will drink 3-4 espresso over the course of an hour in the morning, so they could surely take a 200 mg pill and just have 1 cuppa. They just don’t want to. And also will not try, so they will never know if they like it.
nicotine patches and lozenges are actually similarly great. Just low level nicotine for hours. If I don’t have enough water or am too tired to start with then they will cause low-grade nausea though.
caffeine pills are easier to find. they come in the hundreds and then they’re just in your bag or coat or whatever.
essential for travel in my opinion. no running around in the morning trying to find a good coffee or suffering through the awful hotel room coffee maker.
A good cup of coffee is better than the pill, but often the pill is better than the coffee that is around and readily available
There’s a table edit plug in that makes it easy. The gripe I have with it is not being able to right-justify numbers (or maybe I haven’t looked close enough)
I Downloaded it myself and have about 5-10fps in the main menu on a RTX3090 64GB , 3950X. Most of the reviews say the same. Colossal Order are suggesting you should play on very low detail. I was a massive fan of the original having played Sim City since 1993 but I cant even get into this. It shouldnt have been released so early...
I feel like a game like this would really benefit from the discounted 2-3 yr early access model. They get to squash bugs and get data and those who can stomach the performance issues will enjoy playing what they can. BG3, minecraft, KSP1, The Forest. All had it with our really well for them.
I mean, this is just KSP2 all over again. Successful first game with diehard fans and then just try to drop some unoptimized garbage down when people have been modding and optimizing the first one for a decade.
I have the previous version. Going on 3-4 ears now. It is good. Great even, assuming your camera requirements aren’t super high. The programmable buttons are so excellent and I wish that was a more prevalent feature.
I mean, why not do that, from their perspective. Linux has been around for a long time and Windows still maintains market share. They don’t feel threatened at this point, so might as well have the explanation of how to install Linux be a subtle ad for Windows.
The feeling I got playing BG3 or even skyrim was one of “I can’t wait to try this again with X group/build/decision”. With starfield I don’t know if I’ll ever even get to the point of fucking off on a random adventure, let alone finish the story.
industrial grating is the worst for this. Feels like you’re just over ground, but a slip up means that sucker is falling 50 m and then into some gnarly machinery
I’ve been recently been thinking about Arkane Studio’s Prey which is a immersive sim, with a pretty good rogue like dlc, that probably has one of the strongest hooks of any game I’ve played. If you liked Halflife, System Shock, or Deus Ex it’s definitely worth a play....

This annoyed me. You can boost pack all the way from your New Atlantis penthouse balcony to the New Atlantis star port. Off a skyscraper, travel for miles. It’s fantastic - everyone should do it. Really gives a sense of the scale and capability of the world and game. It does that better than any actual quest or cutscene… bit...
I feel like new Atlantis is hard to get a grasp on is that 1) it makes you fast travel immediately on arrival for the story and therefore lose the sense of place and your mental map, and 2) they never give you an overview or overlook with landmarks so that you can see where things are in relation to each other.
The first impression is getting on the train and then jetpacking through a bunch of bushes to the lodge.
Saw them this year in Denmark. Good show but pretty poor venue. No amphitheater slope, so unless you were in the bleachers or way up front it was pretty tough to see anything
Hey, remember that mission in Mass Effect 3, I think… Where you meet Tali and have to move from shadow to shadow to let the suit cool down between sun exposure? I had this exact thought/memory earlier today when I saw something about them nerfing planet environments. I don’t even know how they’d do it in starfield since the terrain is barren so there isn’t even cover to go to. So it pretty much would have just been “no, you can’t go to this planet”.
I loved vermintide, but this was the issue with it. Hard to convince people to play when they have to grind for hours to have their character be competent even if the player is super experienced. L4D2 for sure the GOAT
So insane that this needs to be a mod. The UI map is disappointing enough, but to not even have an in-universe map for visitors is just bad city design. I still have barely any idea where anything is in new Atlantis. Neon is easy enough since it’s just a single street, which is disappointing in it’s own right
To start, I’m glad that your ship inventory follows you when you switch home ships. So dumb. I realized I forgot to paint a part after putting everything where I wanted it and wound up just leaving that piece unpainted until the next big overhaul since it would just jumble everything up again

I care about them in that order. So if it doesn’t have popup camera I don’t care as much as if it doesn’t have audio jack.
