Yeah, what a silly sequence they force. And then you think you have the design down but just change a hab type and the doors and ladders all move, like wtf!
Yeah, your mass 99999 is why you have a ton of money. I don’t begrudge anyone playing the way they want to play, but don’t act like that’s not a significant ‘cheat’. Again, more power to ya
Keep at it! Been stoked for Skyblivion. And there’s no way the remaster will even match it. They’ll likely just upgrade the graphics a bit and call it a day
You can inject CAN bus commands if you can sniff what they’re sending. No firmware modification necessary. Not saying it’s a good idea to do so, but it is possible to do so.
Didn’t even realize the led was something that had been removed. Mine has it on the upper edge, which is fine, although I’d prefer it on the front face so it can be ‘muted’ by flipping the phone over
I am wanting to optimize the placement of turrets on my custom ship. Is there any information about the coverage arcs offered by turrets? Can they see below the install plane at all? Are they capable of aiming up 90 degrees from the install plane?...
It really feels like the creators didn’t do much playing of the game itself. So many things that are just lacking for a game like this.
inventory being single pane instead of person/vendor/companion
no descriptions for ship parts. Like the workshop doesn’t even say that it has the workbenches in it. Or the landing gear stuff you mentioned. Also, what’s with the cockpit variations that have no difference? Like the C1 vs C1X (or whatever) seem to have zero different except cost.
clunky inventory, even with the starUI mod. It was basically unusable without it.
animals just killing each other willy nilly for no reason. So many dead animals…
the cockpit animation being like 6 seconds. And mapped to the same button as lock-on so that you wind up getting out of the chair mid combat. And the lock-on just being terribly imprecise.
the perk system just either unlocking a core function of the game or just being so uninspired, like do x% more damage. Com’on guys!
Just so many things. Yes modders will fix it probably, but they shouldn’t have to and there will likely not be as much interest in doing so since the game isn’t as majestic and awe inspiring as skyrim (IMO).
Empyrion is such a different game, but so many times on that my buddies and I would just land somewhere to get fuel and spend hours exploring and building on some random planet with plenty to find, explore, and fight. And that is entirely procedurally generated with randomly placed points of interest.
Ship building is fun, but man they are lacking in detail.
What is the difference between these two cockpits? Idk, build it twice and find out. Oh, they’re identical, then why even have a second one?
Oh, this giant 3x3 module must have a ton of stuff in it! Nope, the 2x1 is actually better. But which one? Dunno, try them all and reload.
You’re ship is too big in either length, width, or height. Which one is it? Dunno, I just figured I’d throw all the errors together into one warning and let you figure it out.
Do you have to go through the long opening sequence content again in NG+? Like all the way through to getting Sam Coe? I do wish they would kinda just plop you out in the world faster like New Vegas
Hey, I’ve got an idea for how to start our go-anywhere do-anything space exploration game! 8 hours of hand holding tutorial quests ought to be plenty of buildup, right? None of this exciting dragon attack starting sequence BS, let’s really bore the hell out of our players.
OK, I finally took the plunge on Baldur’s Gate 3, and, coming from playing several hundreds of hours of Solasta recently, the first thing I noticed is the lack of a combat grid....
I like that they donnt use the grid. Feels more natural. That being said, I would occasionally like a measurement tool or something so you can see if you’re within 5/60 ft or whatever
So, yesterday I broke my dominant arm. Yay! For the next 6 weeks, I have a cast, and at least for now, I can’t use my right hand or arm at all (I am typing this with my left hand)....

The era of the telltale games is pretty done and over with. It was a good gimmick (in a nice sense) for a while, but got stale. TWD and the Wolf one were quite enjoyable though
It gets recognized by my computer as something, but it can’t read the drive and it is unable to be reformatted or anything.
Bummer, but lesson learned. If anyone out there has a Deckmate, be careful with putting the SD cards in the slots and then having it in the steam carry case.
That’s weirdly kinda the biggest blunder IMO. Every other similar platform is missing the verbiage, but then they go and hamstring themselves into the same boat. Like, what do you call a Threads or Mastadon post? Certainly not a Tweet, prob just a generic Post. It was a differentiator, and now they’ve voluntarily thrown it away.
Not that I care much, never was on it in the first place

Been playing a bit of BG3 lately. Not sure if I like the dnd system better than their Divinity one. At least for a video game. I suppose it’s too early to tell since it’s not ‘out’ yet though

Baldurs gate 3. Thought it would be more complete since it’s coming out soon. Still good though.
I’ve always had trouble getting into these isometric rpgs for some reason. Divinity, wasteland, old baldurs gate, even dragon age origins. Somehow the disconnect between the control and the character gets to me.
I’m going to try to get deep enough into this one though so that the story can actually shine through
Seems like a good idea, honestly. Their engine is pretty cool with the hyperinteractivity, but the horror aspect wasn’t really for me. A cool Sherlock type game would be dope
