That reminds me of Dune, where they have high tech stuff like spaceships, but no computers or AI, because this sort of thing already happened ages ago and it led to them being banned.

The argument you’re defending is that a fantasy world doesn’t need to have any realism, yet you’re defending it by coming up with reasons why this fantasy world is actually realistic.
I don’t have a problem with having disabled people in a TTRPG setting, but I hate the “it’s fantasy, stop whining about realism” argument.
You came along, not to say anything about disabled people in RPGs, but to defend the claim “it’s fantasy, stop whining about realism”.
This isn’t about disabilities, it’s about dismissing any and all criticisms of fantasy simply because fantasy isn’t the real world.
Fantasy, like any genre of fiction, is of course, made up, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any rules. Each fantasy world establishes its own rules, and tries to follow it as best as it can, because that makes the worlds consistent, and more believable. Does that mean those rules can never be broken? No. But you need to come up with a reason why.
That’s all this is about, coming up with reasons why things exist/happen, that’s the core of fiction. If you have a reason why disabled people still exist in your games despite healing magic, that’s awesome, keep at it. If you don’t, i mean… You do you, but don’t go complaining when people complain about it, they’re not ableists (not necessarily at least), they just don’t like bad writing.
You literally came up with a ton of reasons why disabled people can exist in a fantasy setting, so i don’t understand why you’re so against the idea.
While Musk is undeniably a massive dickhead, let’s not devalue space exploration because of him. Many things we rely on today such as GPS, certain types of medical treatments and drugs, even eye surgery, were only possible due to the advancement of space technology.
Rocketships don’t help people directly, but for isntance, they put satelites in orbit that help farmers have a more precise control and understanding over their crops, putting more food on our plates.
All it takes is for one of these things to stack with other, less avoidable, problems. Say you’re driving in ice or during the rain, maybe on a shitty road full of holes; Now a steering failure that wouldn’t mormally be enough to cause an accident, suddenly becomes much more deadly.
That’s a weird sign. If it’s made by a church or other religous group, you’d think they wouldn’t phrase it like that, as it implies god doesn’t exist, but of course an atheist wouldn’t be making signs talking about god either.
So, is this “Business Alpha Nottingham” some weird agnostic church or what? The website doesn’t work fyi.
I kinda like it still, because if it’s something i’m looking forward to, then i’m probably super nervous about it, so cancelling it makes me relieved i don’t have to worry about it right now. (Assuming it was just pushed further down the road rather than cancelled forever)
Like, i love DMing TTRPG games, and i hate how hard it is to schedule sessions, but at the same time, i secretly love it when a session needs to be cancelled because i’m always less prepared than i’d like to be.

In the last couple of months I have noticed an increasing trend of supplying me search results that are completely unrelated to the current query and tie back to my location or previous searches. I can say this with a high degree of certainty this is without a doubt beyond the 100th instance this has happened....
I see it as the DM realising the items he gave the players are too OP and deciding to remove them. A bit clunky, but reasonable depending on the item, imo.
I would’ve thought from your previous rant, that you’d be against players having too many OP items, as that can easily lead to the situation you described where everyone always succeeds and there’s no “desperate struggle”, as you put it.
It’s playtest material made by WotC, the company that makes D&D.
Any new ideas that they’re not completely sure about, gets released as Unearthed Arcana first, players then can test it and give feedback, which they can use to balance out any issues it might have, before eventually releasing it officially in a book.
