SpeedLimit55,

For me most of the liquids seem to act fast compared to edibles but don’t last as long. Is that select squeeze stuff like those Mio drops you use to flavor water where you only need a few drops. If so that is interesting, I’ve only had stuff like syrup that I measure with an oral syringe or medicine cup.

SpeedLimit55,

Thanks for the info. I like the syrup ones because you can drink them straight or mixed with water or most carbonated drinks. The downside is that you have a big bottle and sticky thicker liquid. All of the premade drinks definitely cost too much but are nice on occasion.

SpeedLimit55,

I guess this is the modern version of AAA plumbing from the phone book.

How Ubuntu Linux snuck into high-end Dell laptops (and why it's called 'Project Sputnik') (www.zdnet.com)

Today, the Dell XPS-13 with Ubuntu Linux is easily the most well-known Linux laptop. Many users, especially developers – including Linus Torvalds – love it. As Torvalds recently said, “Normally, I wouldn’t name names, but I’m making an exception for the XPS 13 just because I liked it so much that I also ended up buying...

SpeedLimit55,

Same, we got several small batches of XPS13 over a period of several years and just about all had problems. We had issues with batteries, drivers, random hardware failures, or total failure. We switched ThinkPad X1 Yoga and Surface Laptops 13 and have far fewer issues now.

SpeedLimit55,

Yeah we have kitchen and bathroom simple human trash cans that are all 10+ years old. I buy rubbermaid for the office though, people are rough on them.

SpeedLimit55,

Playboy still exists? I used to have a subscription.

Yeah some people have multiple doctors (especially elderly) but most only have one pharmacist or one place they refill their meds. It’s a tough job for sure and all people make mistakes so always check your meds. If in doubt go back, or call the pharmacy, or call poison control.

SpeedLimit55,

Interesting article though I would not expect a technology company to have all of the answers. The police are doing the actual work and need to be held accountable.

SpeedLimit55,

Xiaomi makes one, also Walmart carries one called Onn.

SpeedLimit55,

Same, no idea what the problem could have been.

SpeedLimit55,

I’m just amazed by the amount of Star Trek content on lemmy. I didn’t know so many people still liked it.

SpeedLimit55,

TNG was great, I used to watch it on TV with my mom and now I enjoy just turning on a random episode.

SpeedLimit55,

You gotta pee just before bed then brush your teeth then pee a little bit more.

SpeedLimit55,

Never thought about bringing a coupler, good idea!

SpeedLimit55,

After the “cash for clunkers” thing reduced the used car market buying new made more sense because of price and warranty. You also get better financing rates on new vs used. Bought my Subaru new in 2019 and could sell it for about what I paid.

SpeedLimit55,

It doesn’t bother me, it’s a free product and I expect ads. I only use it for sports news.

SpeedLimit55,

People are allowed to like different things. I haven’t posted anything on twitter, just use it like a RSS feed to consolidate my sports news.

SpeedLimit55,

I tried Mastadon but nobody is on there.

SpeedLimit55,

Linux does not work with the Adobe Creative suite or Office365 Sharepoint and One Drive syncing.

SpeedLimit55,

We are about 2/3 Windows and 1/3 Mac depending on preference and role. One Drive (for Business) is part of the Office365/Sharepoint package and it automatically backs up documents, desktop, pics etc and syncs with Office online. Really comes in handy in cases of hardware failure, damage, loss, theft. We are all laptops except for conference rooms and servers.

SpeedLimit55,

They make little keychain pill holders. They are small metal cylinders with a screw top and most pharmacy will have one.

SpeedLimit55,

Have you tried a different usb port? Sometimes certain peripherals work better in USB 2 ports vs 3. Also sometimes you can go into bios and set certain ports to always on.

SpeedLimit55,

AI is the new buzzword for media to use.

SpeedLimit55,

This? helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/retype.html

That could actually be helpful for me. Didn’t know it was a new feature lol.

SpeedLimit55,

Nissan was definitely late with AA/Carplay then initially just put it in the highest trim levels. They have been a few years behind everyone else with in dash entertainment for a while now.

SpeedLimit55,

Larger display with a better layout and steering wheel controls.

SpeedLimit55,

Conspiracy was the catch-all for several years when they shut down TheDonald and various other right leaning subs. Now its mostly just bots, trash, propaganda, and mod approved content making it to hot. It used to be an interesting place in the years before that and you can still occasionally find something interesting if sorting by new.

SpeedLimit55,

People simply smoke a lot more cigs than pot per day. If you smoked 10-20 joints a day for many years your lungs and body would be wrecked too.

SpeedLimit55,

Never heard of that before, I will do a little reading. Always nice to learn new things.

SpeedLimit55,

Reddit has been going downhill for years, this year was just accelerated. Current movies are also pretty bad lately. I haven’t been to a theater in years.

SpeedLimit55,

Never heard of that one, seems like Adobe never has the fonts I need. I generally get lucky with a quick google search or a site like dafont.

SpeedLimit55,

wefwef is good enough for my casual browsing.

SpeedLimit55,

Even my Tesla and Prius driving neighbors don’t have solar panels on their roof. The math doesn’t really make sense yet for most residential installations.

SpeedLimit55,

If it makes you feel any better my dog was bred to hunt river otters and she doesn’t like to swim or get in water deeper than a foot.

SpeedLimit55,

To be fair the Apple podcast app kind of sucks too, its just the most convenient one to use since it comes pre installed.

SpeedLimit55,

The pizza needs to be flipped.

I hate how everything requires you to download a shitty proprietary data harvesting app nowadays when everything can be done just fine without an app.

I have recently started university and am required to use an app that has three Facebook trackers, one of them being a Facebook location tracker according to Exodus App Privacy, for the dining plan, when it would literally work perfectly fine using your student ID and ordering to a real cashier, LIKE HOW IT HAS BEEN DONE FOR...

SpeedLimit55,

Yeah it worked this was in the late 90s except your ID was a swipe card and it really only worked on food. You also had to go to the business office with a check to deposit more funds. Online was still dial up for most people.

SpeedLimit55,

It took me years to quit, I slowly cut cigs out of my daily activities.

SpeedLimit55,

Yeah its tough, just do your best and stick with it. Now my only nicotine is from a cigar a few times a year.

SpeedLimit55,

Just random cigars from samplers like Rocky Patel, Oliva, Romeo y Julieta. Had a Cohiba my buddy brought back a while back. It was good but not mind blowing.

SpeedLimit55,

Dang 3 miles away is crazy, good thing those dogs stayed with her.

SpeedLimit55,

So with the media industry strikes the content is already going to be crap next year. Why not also include ads with it? WTF Amazon.

SpeedLimit55,

I agree but I can’t really afford to. My local hardware store is great but their prices are higher than big box hardware stores or amazon on many items. For example I replaced an outdoor GFCI outlet that cost $25 local or $18 from big box hardware or amazon. The outlet cover was $10 local or $5 anazon.

SpeedLimit55,

You may need a lower bed frame or none at all.

SpeedLimit55,

Looks like a nice summer cocktail!

SpeedLimit55,

It’s Nashville city council so technically in Tennessee.
