The goal is not to protect the general public from misinformation. The goal is to prevent the pool of new training data from getting TOO contaminated with AI generated images, which would make it worthless for training new AI
OP’s comment isn’t directly exclusive with stopping subsidies, though. I could agree with not subsidising corn but not having to regulate a fairly harmless product.
Because translation is about MORE than translating word for word. You’re supposed to try to take cultural context into account. In your example, the translation would be accurate since most people reading the translations would be familiar with the common statement. Granted there’s other factors to take into account as well, but I can’t address those based on a short anecdote.
Bill Gates discussed the importance of plant-based meat alternatives with Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson on the latest episode of his podcast, "Unconfuse Me."...
How in the hell are we supposed to pay the high cost of vegan meat when even basic foodstuffs are through the roof?
From the article:
That’s why Gates and his foundation have financially backed plant-based and lab-grown meat startups such as Impossible, Beyond Meat, Neutral Foods and Upside Foods. Speaking to Thompson about the plant-based meat startups, like Impossible, Gates said that “they’re doing well, but a lot of people want him to make [the product] even slightly better.”
I think the article answers your question. They’re people like anybody else, they don’t do miracles. Impossible and Beyond Meat have done a lot for vegan meat in recent years. Stop bitching just because it’s not perfect. Go be mad at Elon or something, not the ones who are trying.
For games with a shitton of content, I’m not sure it’s entirely possible. You just can’t have every single combination of stuff checked out after every change
From the github discussion it’s an optional feature. See last message
The reason why I think word filters are dumb is evidenced by the reason this discussion started. They randomly censor stuff with no consideration for context or even if the meaning is the same. If widespread, any bad actor can remove or replace random letters to avoid them. And if you happen to use other languages, there’s a good chance you’ll run into random blocked messages for no good reason.

A huge part of it is psychological. Knowing that I have to pay per use would deter me from searching or make me decide every search if this is worth using Kagi for instead of Google. The mental cost would probably be more than the financial one.
What’s vague? You can divide the ship into 3 and replace the missing pieces for each third. You now have 3 ships with 33% of the original, all of which fit your criteria
