So, here’s a thing. You’ve grown up surrounded by transphobia and internalised it. It’s the work of a life time to undo that. So my advice to you is to just try and keep that in mind. The voice telling you that you’re “a man in a dress” is what years of internalised transphobia looks like.

There is no easy trick to make that voice go away, but you can remember what it is when it sounds in your head, and take away a lot of its power, and you can give yourself permission to go easy on yourself :)

If you’re leaving skidmarks on things every day, the answer to that is better cleaning, not underwear to catch the marks.

I do sometimes bleach my undies (yay vaginas), but that’s never been an issue when I’m going commando.

Well, jeans are an exception. I will wear them multiple times between washes, but generally not multiple days in a row. And if it’s crotch hugging (like my jeans normally are), then I’m more inclined to wear undies. But loose pants etc, that don’t crotch hug and aren’t likely to be worn several days running, I’m less inclined to wear undies.

I would not teleport even if I could. I don’t want to die only to be replaced by a clone that thinks its the original me. Give me a portal I can step though, and I’ll step through it, but outright teleportation is a no from me :)

Does federation connect to a single lemmy network, or can there be multiple?

When a lemmy instance federates, does it connect to one big lemmy network, or can there be multiple disconnected, yet locally federated instances? What I’d like to know is, can I simply join any Lemmy server and choose “All” to view everything Lemmy has to offer, or is there still hidden content?...

Your instance connects directly to other instances. All of the lemmy instances doing that with each other is the lemmy network.

Each instance can connect with any other instance unless blocked, but will not do so until someone on your instance follows a community on the remote instance.

In short, there is no way to see everything, and there is no one true view

More impossible than improbable. An instance that willingly federates with every other instance would be blocked in a heart beat by many other instance admins, because if they’re fine federating with CSAM, nazis and the like, then they’re not going to be welcome.

If I was to take a forgiving interpretation of her comment, her comment could be a misunderstanding of the era of stronger binary gatekeeping for trans folk, when you had to be high femme, cis passing, straight etc to gain access to HRT.
