I wouldn’t celebrate myself, but I wouldn’t mourn either. The only thing having me in contact with my family is my debt and for them the social expectations and I guess having someone to verbally abuse comes in handy as well.
I suppose it depends on the country, although I’d assume so. I’m from a very poor background, but both of my parents became landlords through being from a generation where purchasing housing was still plausible. I suspect they will outlive me with the stress of my life combined with inborn conditions wrecking my body anyway. I hate my debt so much. :(
Tbh my place just doesn’t really get much sun if any at all. I specifically got plants which are OK with some shade, but I have too much shade everywhere.
2020 was… truly unique. It was so hard to stay away from doom scrolling, and I (and many others) were pretty disillusioned by the sad fact that so much of our country legitimately supported the Orange Man. I didn’t get a wink of sleep the night of the election because I genuinely considered it to be a make or break decision...
As someone who doesn’t live in a country where I hold citizenship, I think voting when you’re not affected as people who live there are is unfair to them. As is people living there being unable to vote unless they got citizenship which may be very difficult depending on the country.
It’s not even receding, just looking like it, which has been the case my entire life, which makes me feel ugly and masculine, especially if people comment on it, because I otherwise look cute, but my endless wisdom requires too much forehead planes, I suppose. 😩
Today I spoke to a coworker who had bad experiences with doctors and was seeking recommendations for a new one, then other coworkers chimed in, and so I decided to ask you guys as well. Well, not for a doctor recommendation, but about your bad experienced with doctors?...
Sharing woes is never a competition, don’t ever worry about this. I’m sorry you had the doctor! That’s messed up, especially since it could’ve potentially affected your development. :(
Holy fuck. Why are so many nurses so vile? I had nurses cover me in a pile of extremely warm blankets in a room heated to the highest temperature to a point where it felt like I was having a stroke and were ignoring me telling them how much the temperature hurt. Or nurses leaving in clearly wrongly put in venflons with 0 things scheduled for injections, leaving me in pain, unable to use an arm. I developed a severe phobia of venflons thanks to this. :/
I’m so sorry you went through it. I had a doctor accuse me of taking a medication I don’t have to change my blood test results. He still believes I lied. We are waiting on another test result. He suggested I should see another doctor. I don’t even smoke, don’t drink, don’t do drugs, how the fuck would I get a medication to mess with my blood results?
Glad someone finally figured out what’s the cause of your issue! <3
I’m so sorry. Bless the person who saved your life. And bless doctors and nurses who treat patients well. A faking patient will show up on tests. A denied non-true patient may die or suffer life-long consequences. There is 0 reason to deny people medical care.
YESSSS! And the worst is, they trust one another so the longer you suffer from an issue, the less seriously they treat it. I had a therapist who got diagnosed in her 30s with a life-long disease she always sought help for. She ended up movement impaired due to it proceeding with no treatment. Doctors called her a drug-seeker, school-skipper and so on. All she needed was to be treated seriously.
Really glad to had met you. It’s really reassuring to see people who understand, as much as I wish you wouldn’t understand as I’d prefer you would had never had experienced that.
Ah, pardon me, thank you for clarifying! I moved to Germany not that long ago and was advised to amend my insurance to opt out from homeopathy and I did so before seeing any doctors. ^ ^’
Even if your suffering is rare and they didn’t know how to help you, the least they could do was acknowledging your pain and offering mental comfort instead of dismissing it. Thank you for speaking up about it. Hopefully this can stay at the back of people’s heads so if they encounter someone with your problem, they may seek solutions or at least comfort the person.
Gay men may have much higher standards than straight women and if you want to date you may have trouble, even a lot, depending on your age (which also will affect hookup potential). There’s also sexual compatibility. Your good gay friends may be of same position. Or you may simply not be attracted to each other. The gay friends I had were both same position and unattractive to me. Straight people commenting on how we should get together just because we’re both gay made me very uncomfortable.
I wouldn’t mind you finding out any information about me. I would mind you feeling entitled to me putting in effort and time to answer you. I’ve read all the suggestions people here posted and none made me reflect or get anywhere near changing my mind. Privacy centric people just have to accept not everyone is like them. I respect your need for privacy. I don’t understand why you obsessively require me to hold the same belief.
Privacy sentiments are subjective beliefs, not an objective fact like nature.
I genuinely don’t see a point in engaging with you, even just based on what I stated above where you use your personal beliefs in line with objective, provable elements of the natural world. So I’ll choose not to. Cheers. 👍
Yeah, basically that. I’m back at work in Windows land on a Monday morning, and pondering what sadist at Microsoft included these features. It’s not hyperbole to say that the startup repair, and the troubleshooters in settings, have never fixed an issue I’ve encountered with Windows. Not even once. Is this typical?...
How do games like Sea of Thieves stay afloat?
I think No Man’s Sky is also in the same boat....
If your entire family died and you'd get the inheritance, what would you do?
This isn’t about grieving, just assuming the complete absence of your family and all the inheritance....
