You’re basically suggesting that Valve turn DotA into Heroes of the Storm, a MOBA so lame it lived and died in just 7 years. Meanwhile, DotA has been going strong for nearly 20, despite the fact that anyone that’s ever heard of the game knows that it’s a toxic cesspool. Your “solution” to what you perceive as a problem is to make the game less fun, and that’s why Valve makes money by the truckload and you write sad opinion pieces and attempt to insult people on social media.
I didn’t watch any trailers, didn’t read any of the hype, had low expectations, and didn’t have to buy it…and Starfield still managed to disappoint me.
I can’t remember if Octopath Traveler lets you manipulate the turn order, but regardless it is in the same genre, available on switch, and is just a really good game.
You literally just described dark souls and what has become the entire souls-like genre, though to be honest I’ve played dozens of souls-likes and most of them fail completely at it. Just play dark souls.
You can’t take the inventory out of Skyrim and it still be Skyrim. That’s where half the fun and shenanigans come from. Did you play Fable 3? They tried removing the inventory and the game sucked and the series died.
Some text-based adventures from the late 90s and early 2000’s allowed you to do just that. I can even remember a couple that were the precursors to MMO’s, but back then they were called MUDs, short for Multi-User Dungeons.
I suppose those could be iterated on with modern voice technology and language models.
Skill points in dark souls are helpful but entirely unnecessary. See the wealth of Soul Level 1 runs on YouTube if you don’t believe me. I’ve personally completed the 2nd and 3rd games without adding a single skill point, and I’m definitely not that good. But yes, Sekiro fits the bill also.
Holy fuck dude LET IT GO. This has nothing to do with “newbies”. Did you even read the fucking OP? When I answered a simple question I didn’t expect to be harassed by a butthurt baby that just couldn’t git gud. I don’t think you should be on the Internet. It’s clear you can’t handle it.
I’d go for a food grade liquid tanker in this example. Muuuch more weight transfer as the liquid sloshes around, and food grade means no baffles to slow it at all.
Nowadays I find a lot of games feel like too much work and/or anxiety when I just want to relax for like, 30 minutes to an hour after a long day. On the other hand, the games specifically designed to help you unwind just feel boring imo....
Why are there so many suggestions of Zelda BotW over TotK imo this thread? I’ve only played the latter but my understanding is it’s pretty much the same game with more to do. And since Nintendo games rarely go on sale you are probably looking at a very similar price tag.
For example, I 3d printed a box over my outlet to protect my cables from my bed pushing against it. In addition, my cables never fall to the floor so they’re much easier to grab.
I’m using Firefox and ublock on Android and it’s great but YouTube via mobile browser is definitely the worst experience after the official youtube app. LibreTube, NewPipe, PipePipe are all better options. Revanced is probably the best in theory but takes more work to get running. These are just the ones I’ve tried but there are even more options. I’m currently using PipePipe and it’s great.
I wouldn’t call paramount+ a great value considering the application is such a complete piece of garbage regardless of platform. You couldn’t even pay me to use it.
Even my 68 year old mother can tell the difference between 30 and 60hz while scrolling Facebook so I think maybe you have some other medical issues or you’re just in denial.

Why would anyone need a dedicated piece of hardware to play mp3s these days? My $250 smartphone accepts SD cards up to 1 terabyte, plays flacs, and runs whatever media software you want. I was using GoneMad until updates turned that to shit and now I’m happily using PowerAmp. But there are dozens of others I haven’t even tried.
I had a 5th Gen iPod video back in 2006 and loved the thing like it was my firstborn child but eventually it broke and I got a smartphone and have never felt the need for another one.
I think the biggest issue here is that metroidvania as a genre is just far too tedious and not all that fun to play, unless you grew up playing Metroid or Castlevania. Hollow Knight has so many great things going for it, but after several hours of predictable power gaining and backtracking through the same areas to open new pathways just to do the same thing again I couldn’t take it anymore.
being able to go back to each area to explore it to 100% with the whole power set feels really great.
Nothing about this sounds fun to me. Perhaps when I was 8 years old, but not now.
I have both Ori games and spent even less time with them. They are prettier than Hollow Knight but even more dull unfortunately.

You certainly can but it would take ages for more than a handful of tracks. It’s not practical when there’s been automated solutions around for two decades already.
Unfortunately I don’t know of any easy way to do that. Mine is all meticulously structured by hand like c:/music/artist/(year)album/01-trackname but then I mostly have full albums these days and not a lot of individual tracks.
It’s also useful to use a metadata editor to remove all the “x artist featuring y” because media players will often read these as separate artists, which can get very messy very fast. Personally I just remove the “featuring” part entirely but if you must have it at least include it in the track title instead of the artist.
I guess the idea was that if something happened to flac like new devices stopped supporting it for whatever reason, or if a better lossless format came along, it would be much easier to go back to the wavs and convert them to a different format.
