PraiseTheSoup,

You’re basically suggesting that Valve turn DotA into Heroes of the Storm, a MOBA so lame it lived and died in just 7 years. Meanwhile, DotA has been going strong for nearly 20, despite the fact that anyone that’s ever heard of the game knows that it’s a toxic cesspool. Your “solution” to what you perceive as a problem is to make the game less fun, and that’s why Valve makes money by the truckload and you write sad opinion pieces and attempt to insult people on social media.

PraiseTheSoup,

Two, ‘stop pretending disagreement means I hate your favorite thing’ is not an insult

I haven’t touched DotA since 2014. I couldn’t care less what happens to it. But you clearly do. Just in a way that nobody cares about.

PraiseTheSoup,

Just stop watching shit using twitch streams like a 10yo because it’s trash software and always has been.

FTFY

PraiseTheSoup,

Excuse me? EAC is Exact Audio Copy. There can be no other.

PraiseTheSoup,

I didn’t watch any trailers, didn’t read any of the hype, had low expectations, and didn’t have to buy it…and Starfield still managed to disappoint me.

PraiseTheSoup,

I couldn’t get through it and I can’t remember all the reasons but I recall the main character being totally insufferable.

PraiseTheSoup,

I can’t remember if Octopath Traveler lets you manipulate the turn order, but regardless it is in the same genre, available on switch, and is just a really good game.

PraiseTheSoup,

You literally just described dark souls and what has become the entire souls-like genre, though to be honest I’ve played dozens of souls-likes and most of them fail completely at it. Just play dark souls.

PraiseTheSoup,

God I miss warcraft 3. Fuck blizzard.

PraiseTheSoup,

You can’t take the inventory out of Skyrim and it still be Skyrim. That’s where half the fun and shenanigans come from. Did you play Fable 3? They tried removing the inventory and the game sucked and the series died.

PraiseTheSoup,

Some text-based adventures from the late 90s and early 2000’s allowed you to do just that. I can even remember a couple that were the precursors to MMO’s, but back then they were called MUDs, short for Multi-User Dungeons.

I suppose those could be iterated on with modern voice technology and language models.

PraiseTheSoup,

Skill points in dark souls are helpful but entirely unnecessary. See the wealth of Soul Level 1 runs on YouTube if you don’t believe me. I’ve personally completed the 2nd and 3rd games without adding a single skill point, and I’m definitely not that good. But yes, Sekiro fits the bill also.

PraiseTheSoup,

but that is what OP was asking for. The game works fine without skill points. I just answered the question man.

PraiseTheSoup,

Holy fuck dude LET IT GO. This has nothing to do with “newbies”. Did you even read the fucking OP? When I answered a simple question I didn’t expect to be harassed by a butthurt baby that just couldn’t git gud. I don’t think you should be on the Internet. It’s clear you can’t handle it.

PraiseTheSoup,

I’d go for a food grade liquid tanker in this example. Muuuch more weight transfer as the liquid sloshes around, and food grade means no baffles to slow it at all.

Edit: spelling

PraiseTheSoup,

Why are there so many suggestions of Zelda BotW over TotK imo this thread? I’ve only played the latter but my understanding is it’s pretty much the same game with more to do. And since Nintendo games rarely go on sale you are probably looking at a very similar price tag.

PraiseTheSoup,

TotK is literally the only Zelda game I’ve ever completed and I understood the story perfectly fine.

PraiseTheSoup,

I don’t even claim free season pass rewards because I couldn’t give a fuck less about your cosmetic trash. Gameplay is king in this household.

PraiseTheSoup,

I miss Casey’s barbeque beef pizza so much. Both them and pizza hut stopped selling it around the same time and nobody else does it.

PraiseTheSoup,

I just give up after 3 tries and click “forgot password”.

PraiseTheSoup,

Really? Because everyone on Trailer Park Boys and Letterkenny has it. And I say that as a northern Minnesotan.

PraiseTheSoup,

On a cheap dell laptop? I don’t think that’s gonna blow anyone’s mind.

PraiseTheSoup,

I played dos games on Windows 95 almost 30 years ago, I’m not sure what being old has to do with it.

PraiseTheSoup,

Apple products are so incredibly overpriced, they are never worth the money.

PraiseTheSoup,

If I’m understanding correctly then the words “sauce” and “source” are indistinguishable when spoken by a brit?

PraiseTheSoup,

and horse doesn’t??

PraiseTheSoup,

What’s the difference? I grew up only a few hours from the border but have never actually been to Canada.

PraiseTheSoup,

I would say yes , the majority of American drivers use their turn signals. Unless they drive a BMW, then they can’t be bothered.

PraiseTheSoup,

I’m using Firefox and ublock on Android and it’s great but YouTube via mobile browser is definitely the worst experience after the official youtube app. LibreTube, NewPipe, PipePipe are all better options. Revanced is probably the best in theory but takes more work to get running. These are just the ones I’ve tried but there are even more options. I’m currently using PipePipe and it’s great.

PraiseTheSoup,

I wouldn’t call paramount+ a great value considering the application is such a complete piece of garbage regardless of platform. You couldn’t even pay me to use it.

PraiseTheSoup,

Even my 68 year old mother can tell the difference between 30 and 60hz while scrolling Facebook so I think maybe you have some other medical issues or you’re just in denial.

PraiseTheSoup,

They absolutely do. I’ve met a few of them.

PraiseTheSoup,

Any ivy league student that can afford to eat at Panera? So, her parents are rich and could afford to sue. Makes sense.

PraiseTheSoup,

Why would anyone need a dedicated piece of hardware to play mp3s these days? My $250 smartphone accepts SD cards up to 1 terabyte, plays flacs, and runs whatever media software you want. I was using GoneMad until updates turned that to shit and now I’m happily using PowerAmp. But there are dozens of others I haven’t even tried.

I had a 5th Gen iPod video back in 2006 and loved the thing like it was my firstborn child but eventually it broke and I got a smartphone and have never felt the need for another one.

PraiseTheSoup,

You seem to be vastly overestimating the usefulness and adoption rate of Twatter, even at its peak.

PraiseTheSoup,

Nothing after SC2000 was any good.

PraiseTheSoup,

Wow, what an obnoxiously worded comment.

PraiseTheSoup,

Paradox is known to deliver quality.

PraiseTheSoup,

I think the biggest issue here is that metroidvania as a genre is just far too tedious and not all that fun to play, unless you grew up playing Metroid or Castlevania. Hollow Knight has so many great things going for it, but after several hours of predictable power gaining and backtracking through the same areas to open new pathways just to do the same thing again I couldn’t take it anymore.

being able to go back to each area to explore it to 100% with the whole power set feels really great.

Nothing about this sounds fun to me. Perhaps when I was 8 years old, but not now.

I have both Ori games and spent even less time with them. They are prettier than Hollow Knight but even more dull unfortunately.

PraiseTheSoup,

Of course it’s an opinion, just as the comment it was responding to was an opinion

PraiseTheSoup,

Drinking a 12oz cup of drip over an hour or two is pretty standard

Pretty standard where? Literally nobody I know drinks coffee this slow.

PraiseTheSoup,

You certainly can but it would take ages for more than a handful of tracks. It’s not practical when there’s been automated solutions around for two decades already.

PraiseTheSoup,

Unfortunately I don’t know of any easy way to do that. Mine is all meticulously structured by hand like c:/music/artist/(year)album/01-trackname but then I mostly have full albums these days and not a lot of individual tracks.

It’s also useful to use a metadata editor to remove all the “x artist featuring y” because media players will often read these as separate artists, which can get very messy very fast. Personally I just remove the “featuring” part entirely but if you must have it at least include it in the track title instead of the artist.

PraiseTheSoup,

I guess the idea was that if something happened to flac like new devices stopped supporting it for whatever reason, or if a better lossless format came along, it would be much easier to go back to the wavs and convert them to a different format.

PraiseTheSoup,

I owned a brown Zune

We called these the “shit brick vista pod”

PraiseTheSoup,

Converting back and forth, even from lossless to lossless, is a good way to lose or corrupt data. I abandoned the idea years ago anyway, but thanks.
