They do bring that up in the comics and the animated series ( at least the 3d ones). I’m sure more than once I’ve seen Megatron say something like " it’s them calling our ways deceitful, and since we fight for justice we are proud be Decepticons " or something like that.
I’ll start. Not to toot my own horn but I feel I’m at least partially responsible for getting a friend to see the value of romantic love, which she managed to find!
I don’t think I have the time and inclination to find illustration jobs anymore, but that was an awesome gig and I’d do it again if I had the opportunity
Look, she’s obviously being passive aggressive towards you. The guy saying “tell her to buy you something if she’s uncomfortable” is spot on. She’s trying to shame you over being different, aka tall poppy syndrome. Show some teeth or she will keep pecking at you. Yes, talk it with the group. If everyone agrees with this bitch it’s time to find yourself better friends. You shouldn’t be providing an excuse for why you don’t want to buy or consume something. Maybe you are not hungry, or you don’t want to drink alcohol that late on a weekday or maybe you do intermittent fasting- who knows, what gives, wtf. Seriously.
How do you define mainstream? Sure it has to vary with demographics etc. But if you ask any random person, “have you ever heard about Star Trek?” , you will get a yes for an answer in too many cases, even if they’ve never watched it. Show them images of the characters and they’ll likely go “aahhh yes those”. Compare that to something more obscure like “have you ever heard about Aeon Flux?” and you’ll probably get weird looks even though there are comics, a movie and an animated series of it. Star Trek may not be as popular as other franchises, but it is mainstream imo.
I’m a middle aged guy, who, a few years ago, was off handedly told by a dental hygienist while getting my teeth cleaned, that I was tongue tied. I’ve had a flap of skin under my tongue which holds it down, it isn’t severe, but it does restrict my tongues mobility. For instance, I can’t really stick my tongue out very far...
Thanks for sharing this story. I believe it’s going to be difficult to find a lot of people in a similar predicament as you since tied tongues are not extremely common, and when they happen they are usually dealt with during infancy. What’s really unusual about your story is that no other doctor or dentist picked this up over four decades …
I’m also on second opinion camp but I can’t speak from personal experience, sorry. I’d be really curious to know how it works out for you if you get surgery though.
I once housesat and the cat would bite any soft fruit as well as through the plastic bags of snacks if left unattended. I’m attaching the photo of what a peach bitten by that cat looked like. I hope the attachment works, first time trying this
At least in my case the cat didn’t take the fruit elsewhere, it would just bite it on the spot. Cleaning up after a sticky mess of fruit all over the apartment doesn’t sound fun…
To those saying “don’t use Google photos”: can google access/use my photos on my phone even of they are stored locally without backup or sync turned on?
I second the opinion on finding a critic or reviewer you agree with. I follow a few on YouTube. Search for reviews on stuff you’ve seen, both for good and bad shows, so that you get an idea of how they think and what they value
That’s true, however note that credibility comes attached to personal identity, as the text mentions in the last paragraph. A newspaper isn’t a person, articles are written by different journalists- however when a media shows a majority of bogus articles they quickly lose credibility too
Ugh, first I teleport three feet to the side and no later than 24 hrs I’m suddenly stark naked? It’s going to take a toll on my mental health for sure, but other than that I’ll be really frustrated because I’m wearing my favourite shirt right now
I’m not a massive fan of that movie, never was. It’s an ok movie in my books. In that regard, my opinion hasn’t changed. But I appreciate better the Genie as a character and Robin Williams voice acting, which at the time I was so young I didn’t even notice.
That’s probably the case, but I’m sure they get aired in a different order more often than you’d think.
I don’t have an answer for OP but, having worked in a TV show, I have seen episodes broadcasted in a different order from production. I have no idea why though since these decisions had nothing to do with my area.
I think the person you replied to are a making a joke, suggesting OP wants to solve his problems by hiring a hitman or an assassin. That’s the joke. No hate speech involved in the joke. Then to emphasise it’s just a joke, and that they don’t mean to troll, they actually answer OPs question in a reasonable manner.
In their defense, some models of horizontally held can openers look very similar to the vertical ones and it takes me a few attempts until I figure out I’m holding it wrong… No can opener I’ve used worked by suction though
I’m also like you with my timing but most people I know say I take ages with my teeth. Apparently most people are done with their brushing in less than one minute. Therefore, dentists recommend spending at least two or three. I don’t think you need to brush for less time than what you already are.
