This is why I take Sentinel and Polearm Master. Park myself in front of the squishies and anyone that approaches gets a polearm to the face opportunity attack that prevents them from moving.

It’s like IRL. When you take the car off the lot its value drops by half.

Click “ignore the risk” and it will continue to the page. You better be certain you aren’t being man in the middle attacked though.

Ragzlin you can put a bunch of firewine barrels on his little stage and then lure everyone next to the barrels using minor illusion. Then if you throw a firebolt at the barrels or drop the hanging brazier, boom. That usually takes out everyone except Ragzlin if you use two or three barrels. The priestess you can drop a silence on in her room that she leads you to and she wont call for help. Easy to blow her up and just walk away whistling.

I’m on like my ninth playthrough and I am still finding new stuff and areas. This game is absolutely massive.

They should have used Haarlep’s photo. Much more lascivious, same face.

I find Wyll to be more thirsty than Gale. At least it’s obvious what Gale wants. Wyll goes from dancing to wanting to bone.

Except the Sanderson sisters. We saw their villainy play out on tv so we know they’re guilty.

Yeah, I’ve got a bone to pick with him. For reasons…

This game has some pretty sublime humor at times.

There was a conversation with Withers where he shares a bunch of back-story about some of the big bads. He’s speaking pretty plainly, but there was still a dialogue option that said “Stop speaking in riddles and speak plainly. Can’t you give me more information?”. I felt like I had already obtained what I needed from...

No is Withers favorite word. He refuses to elaborate, always.

The forge isn’t the elevator to act 2. The elevator to act 2 is near the waypoint by the boat in Grymforge. There are 2 or 3 duergar out front and one calls another Stick shit. They warn you before you go onto the elevator so you’ll know before you proceed to act 2.

Graphics Interchange Format. Hard G.

teft,
@teft@startrek.website avatar

The acronym for NASA uses the same sounds as the words that make the acronym. Same as GIF so I’m not sure what your point is. Mine is that GIF stands for graphics interchange format and graphics starts with a hard g therefore GIF should start with a hard g.

Grew up without one? He’s 80. He probably didn’t even use a computer before he was 50.

teft,
@teft@startrek.website avatar

I’m basing my comment on my life experience of growing up in the 80s and 90s. Most people in the time period did not use computers. A lot of people thought they were nerdy. So someone like Joe Biden who is a “cool guy” politician almost certainly never touched one until he needed one for work. Total supposition on my part but I would put money on it.

Piracy is Preservation (feddit.de)

Image description: a screenshot from the Wikipedia page for the Doctor Who TV series, with a user-added caption that reads “Preserve the media you can before it’s gone forever.” The Wikipedia article reads, “No 1960s episodes exist on their original videotapes (all surviving prints being film transfers), though some were...

Don’t even have to go that far back. Look at Netflix removing the DnD Community episode because Chang dresses as a drow elf (black skin, white hair). He even says he’s a drow in the episode yet Netflix removed it from the series since it was “racist”. Without pirates that episode would quickly be forgotten.

Would you prefer if games had a separate difficulty setting for boss fights?

I usually play games on “normal” difficulty these days, for a balanced challenge. However, I don’t particularly enjoy boss fights, or at least I don’t enjoy the extra challenge associated with them. Was thinking it would be nice if games had a separate setting so I could just set boss fights to “easy”, while not...

I like Jedi: Survivor’s method of accessibility. They let you slow down the game if you need a little more leeway with the bosses. You can crank that slider down to like 10% speed and it’s like being Neo in that scene where he dodges bullets. You can still fuck up but it’s pretty easy. I used it for the platforming because I hate platforming so much.

Shit they probably could have just set up an Emergency Culinary Hologram. Not like the Doctor would complain.
