takeda,

Wasn’t the majority of those Russian soldiers in WW2 made of Ukrainians?

takeda,

Yeah, but how do you feel that 20-30 people must die per year so you have a cool soda?

takeda,

Doesn’t that put them on par with Tesla’s?

takeda,

So you want to murder him too? How can you sleep at night?

takeda,

Isn’t that the goal of every game sequel?

takeda,

They could easily use the proper units, but sometime someone decided to cheat and now everyone does to the point that this is the standard now.

takeda,

Adding that stuff to Android, so if you don’t have the genuine YouTube app the server won’t even serve you the videos. It is meant to kill things like ReVanced.

takeda,

From what I understand AdNauseum is built on top of uBlockOrigin so you supposed use it instead. The thing is that it isn’t as frequently updated and due to recent YouTube wars this is currently required.

takeda,

I was talked about AdNauseum. Unlike uBO it is not up to speed with YouTube changes.

takeda,

Is it still working? When I tried it looked like Amazon blocked API and the prices available were off 3rd party sellers.

takeda,

Yay, for successfully pulling all teeth from antitrust laws and preventing any competitor from replacing them.

takeda,

It is not that simple. EU started as an economical union. All members had to agree about changes, before those would take effect.

This would change EU to be more like a country and the individual countries would become states.

During PiS years the ruling party used the public TV to scare people that this is attempt to kill Poland’s sovereignty. If PO would back it up, it would likely end with riots from the right.

takeda,

The only reason they place month as first is because it is fits how dates are read in English, but that’s not a good reason to keep that format.

takeda,

Congrats, you made it even less practical. Why not make it binary if that’s the goal?

takeda,

The problem I have with it is that all the time it saves me I have to use on reading the code. I probably spend more time on that as once in a while the code it produces is broken in a subtle way.

I see some people swearing by it, which is the opposite of my experience. I suspect that if your coding was copying code from stack overflow then it indeed improved your experience as now this process is streamlined.

takeda,

We are also seriously concerned about how you were able to obtain a missile in the first place.

Prior work experience

takeda,

That’s right, a good pirate only copies and shares their treasure with others.

takeda,

They did. Starting 2035, ICEs won’t be sold anymore in EU.

takeda,

“quietly” as without a fanfare. It is primarily meant to be a deterrent, and it is not a good deterrent if the enemy doesn’t know about it.

takeda,

They didn’t include Jolly Roger.

takeda,

I guess he is daring NY Judge, because it is a civil case.

He probably should have his release conditioned on gag order in federal cases. And he should be jailed if he breaks it.

If the fear is that his fans will riot, newsflash: they follow identity politics, they don’t care how guilty trump is. Whatever they plan to do, they will do it anyway. So either treat him like you would treat anyone else for similar crimes or just forget about trials and let him do whatever he wants without any consequence. Because there’s no point in wasting time if he can’t be punished.

takeda, (edited )

I saw sometimes ads that was claiming that one of my friends like that product too. My bet is on that.

BTW: I started using user script to remove recommendations, suggestions and other crap like that. It makes Facebook so much more bearable but interestingly also feels less addictive.

takeda,

greasyfork.org/en/…/431970-fb-clean-my-feeds

After installing it, you will see a floating icon on bottom left, where you can configure it to filter more (I think by my or only blocks clear ads, some people might like the suggestions, but imo they are there to keep you engaged, so I would block them too).

takeda,

Maybe it was during covid? ;)

BTW: I love how TP is answer to but cataclysm. This year they’re was extremely rare hurricane coming to Southern California and again saw a lot of carts on Costco with one or two packs of TP day before it hit.

takeda,

I’m confused. In the description I see Snuggle and the toilet paper is Snuggle. I can’t read the more detailed description due to poor resolution.

takeda,

White House doesn’t get our soldiers on the ground and is only there to make sure this doesn’t explode into something bigger.

It also was successful (unfortunately not always) in persuading Israel into some relief to civilians.

Trump essentially lit a fuse for this conflict: newsweek.com/donald-trump-partly-blame-situation-…

takeda,

uBlock works on Firefox on Android.

ReVanced replaces native YouTube app and Smart Tube replaces YouTube on TV.

takeda, (edited )

I can afford it and refuse to pay on principle. I actually would be glad if Google went out of business (although extremely unlikely). Monopolistic Companies like them use every opportunity to cheat and modify laws to give them advantage and remove any chance of a new innovative competitor taking over. Then they expect us to act honorable and play by the rules that they set up.

They are the cancer and we need to restore old antitrust laws that supposed to prevent them from ever getting so big.

takeda,

uBlock should work, if it doesn’t make sure you are using latest version, you have custom filters disabled and disable all extension. If that fixes it then you can start enabling other extension tracking which one caused issue.

With adblock detection filtering too much can cause to trigger the detection.

takeda,

Bots/trolls don’t care about having cool handles so nothing from them would be valuable enough to pay for. As you said, it is now about the inactive handles that were left, for example npr. He hopes that maybe this will make them come back or at least he can make some money if real trolls will purchase them. I think he was waiting for a year, because the former is worth more. The later generates some income, but it dilutes the value of Twitter.

takeda,

They moved too fast, and got negative response and backed off on panic. They will rebrand, and try this again but slower. If you care about freedom, start using Firefox or another gecko based browser.

They got cocky, because chrome currently dominates browser market share.

takeda,

This is why everyone who cares about freedom should use Firefox or other gecko based browser. They wouldn’t push this if they didn’t have control of the vast malory of the browser market.

They are like Microsoft 20 years ago with Internet Explorer. In fact looks like they are working together this time to kill Firefox.

takeda,

And it is so light, it only requires is-odd package!

takeda,

Can’t do that, we are taking about Java.

takeda,

Yeah, this could be done better and would still send a message without unnecessary exaggeration.

takeda,

I think the problem is that the title is misleading to what it is. People who might be interested in it, will skip it because of the title and those that get interested because of the title will get disappointed.

takeda,

Exactly, it is as much serverless as the offering that allowed to host php sites back in the day.

takeda,

It is, but the idea how it works is roughly the same.

Elon Musk gives X employees one year to replace your bank - ‘You won’t need a bank account... it would blow my mind if we don’t have that rolled out by the end of next year.’ (www.theverge.com)

“If it involves money. It’ll be on our platform. Money or securities or whatever. So, it’s not just like send $20 to my friend. I’m talking about, like, you won’t need a bank account.”...

takeda,

He was ousted from PayPal before it become PayPal. Actually his name for the service was X, so this might be long awaited dream.

takeda,

This actually was eMachines program where you could ship your old computer and get significant discount on new model.

It had nothing to do with what they think would be future proof.

takeda,

Yep, people like to look and see black and white, but situation is very complex.

Is a roller coaster when you start learning more about it, but it followed:

  • Israel is supported by my country so they are the good guys
  • Jews came from Europe and took land from them, and keep them in open prison, also killing them, including children, now they are bombing civilians, many innocent people are dying
  • oh wait it actually it wasn’t exactly Palestinian land until recently, Jews are technically Palestinians that were run to Europe by Arabs. The Palestinians also don’t want any compromise and won’t stop until they eradicate every single Jew and the entire land will be Arab. (here’s where I’m and I’m sure there’s more)

Oh the fuck this is so complex, and the worst thing is there isn’t any way solution in sight because at least one side doesn’t want any compromise.

I saw comment and I believe it is most accurate of this situation. There won’t be a peace until Palestinians will start loving their children more than they hate Jews.

Again, I don’t support what Israeli government is doing, they do kill innocent people in the process, but Palestinians aren’t exactly greatest neighbors either. The countries that in the past accepted them as refugees ended up having civil wars started by them.

takeda,

Oh yeah “Arab nation from the river to the sea” sounds very peaceful and totally not like genocide.

takeda,

C’mon John, it’s not big deal, I always knew you were into weird shit, so no surprise from me.

takeda,

To make it a bit harder for them. I’m still not fully understanding it as it didn’t affect me yet, but when they were introducing it they were calling it a “three strikes rule” or something like that. Maybe those strikes are counted against your account?

takeda,

They don’t get the same information. They likely do, but they can’t be 100% certain it is really you (with various pro privacy extending that is lowered). When you log in, the certainty is 100%.

Given the YouTube service, there’s lot the need to log in (I suppose maybe it is just the way I use it, but if for example someone sends you a vimeo link, would you log in to watch it?)

takeda,

Thanks, I had no idea that one extra comma could overwhelm to someone.
