Yes!! I love it for tracking all my scrobbles.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

I used both as well, they are amazing.

Where’s the love for the Riker maneuver?

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

I believe the term is basement king / queen .

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

I like .world abit, but I’m a touch biased 🤣

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

I mean, I literally have the same thing, but with Ubuntu and Mate, so I get it 🤓

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Galaxy Watch 4 42mm with a braided metal band. Crazy comfortable and light.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Got a old Dell Latitude 7490 runs for 5-7 hrs, quite cheap. Running Ubuntu with everything except the fingerprint reader working.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Maybe look at getting a Mac M2? I’ve got one for work and the battery life is insane 😎

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

This is why I use WezTerm and Guake. iTerm2 is okay on OSX.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

But do you have a NATO strap?

What item have you been using on a daily basis for the longest amount of time?

Sometimes I will use something and realize I’ve owned it forever. It’s a nice change in our throwaway reality. I think my personal record is a bicycle multi-tool I got for one of my first bikes, ~25 years ago. Still have it, still use it. When it comes to electronic devices I have a Panasonic mini Hi-Fi from ~2005. Never...

That’s a great knife. Got the CX myself.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

So much love for db0 💯❤️

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Seems neat, I do love Sauce Code Pro though.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Some of us just use Ubuntu and want to give high fives to kind folks. Therapy helps ❤️🙌

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

LazyGit is a thing ❤️🙌

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, it’s painful to use. Like I want to like it, but Photoshop is just a superior product. Just look at what tools professionals use when time is money.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Does anyone still even use Facebook? Aside from boomer parents? TikTok, not THAT’S a data mining platform!

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

$2,000 USD later… 🥵🙌

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Same, but Pixel 3a cause I’m poor.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

How’s it still working for you? Might get one, I have a 3a.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Gaben is fucking smart and gives a shit.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

That joke is old enough to drive… 🤣

What's you plan for your digital legacy?

Lately I started including what happens to my data in case I die unexpectedly in my threat model. As of now I’d like for everything to stay private. All my accounts have a strong password that I store on a keepass datbase that I store only on encrypted devices which themselves are protected only by PIN or Password with no...

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Shared passwords in BitWarden with important notes. Easy to keep up to date.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Very cool. Any other related stories?

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Support our troops is a hollow catch phrase…

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

A vegan, a Linux user, and a ‘pol sci major’ walk into a bar. They are the same person. Oh dear, they won’t shut up. There is no god here now. I think my ears have started to bleed. Run…

Namecheap.com Been using them for years, amazing service.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

It’s more or less truly anonymous chat. Like you meet someone on the street and need to chat with them, but don’t want to give them any personally identifiable info. It’s really cool in concert, but good luck getting anyone to use it. Signal is good enough if you’re paranoid. TBH Telegram secret chats are just as good for sensitive stuff and way easier to get folks to use.

What is the best linux alternative to OneNote?

I’ve no problem with using LibreOffice for most of my document needs, but i haven’t found a good substitute for microsoft’s OneNote yet. I mainly use it to plan my RPG games and it helps a lot. What alternatives are there for organizing notes on linux, with similar features to those that OneNote provides?

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

You can also use SyncThing, works great.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

I think that’s the part I had a hard time w. The db setup. I’m only good at postgres and sqllite.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Yeet that shit into main. Who needs unit tests, it works on my computer?

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Top kek

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

I’m surprised more folks on here don’t like FLAC… it fits better 😉

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Rip to FLAC concert to MP3 If your on Windows MusicBee is amazing. Trying to find something similar for Linux.

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

💯 iPods with RockBox!

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Yes!!!

jelloeater85,
@jelloeater85@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, i do 320 mp3s sometimes. Man are FLAC files big sometimes. Maybe get a NAS and some cheap disks?
