fushuan,

Eh, kinda. They are revamping lots of stuff but more importantly they will add a “veteran” mode to Ultimate, so the story content becomes as hard as shattered realm, for people that prefer to do skeleton key dungeons or jsut campaign content to farm instead of shattered realms.

Also a new class focused on cold/bleed, dw and a chaos transmutter.

fushuan,

instead of getting drunk and having sex and dancing, like I assume european teens get to do

Uh, yeah but actually no. You also need to hide it from your parents wtf. Also we do live with and get to know our parents until we get out of their home which with current prices the age is around 28-30ish right now?

fushuan,

My town has public E-bikes with assisted pedalling up to 20/kph. I used to have a normal bike and I ususally went way faster than that, at least 30kph or 35kph, This damn bike’s motor stops working when I reach 20, and if I want to go above 20 I need to pedal with full power on a heavy bike. It’s okayish but damn if that’s not annoying.

fushuan,

This is an act 1 scene that you probably missed because you warped to act 2 without enough long rests done to play them all. It’s… been a while since the game released and it’s written in a thread where they are commenting Minthara recruitment, which is arguably way more spoilery than this.

fushuan,

mage hand requiring a short rest to resummon might be because you are using the gith racial?

Feather fall now is a ritual spell so you can cast it before combat and it will last all of combat. It’s just different from the tabletop game.

fushuan,

all possible actions should show up on the K panel, I have dragged the “non-lethal toggle”, the eldritch blast push toggle and all of those the the actual bar to be able to juggle them.

fushuan,

waiting is for losers, quicksave, kill them, quickload. Gold reset.

fushuan,

Then maybe we who haven’t played the game shouldn’t be having opinions on some aspects of it, because context matters and we lack context on the whole plot.

fushuan,

I didn’t say you had a strong opinion either. In any case, having any sort of slavery present in a “medieval-esque” game doesn’t sound too weird to me. From the promotional material it seems like the game is about fights between countries and some eikons/primals/titans and the characters channel the fight of those primals though them?

The whole concept of primals is linked to slavery by the very simple notion that once the character is touched by their mana, it becomes a slave to them. This is how it has worked in all the FF games I have played.

IDK, complaining about the game having aspects of slavery but not addressing them seems a weak complaint to me when probably the game was never about the thing, the thing just being a setting. And I’m not against the thing being just a minor setting, not every game must either make t their focus or make it not exist.

Again, I have not played through it so I’m not gonna say if their implementation is correct or not. All I’m gonna say is that Americans really focus so god damn much in the slavery topic, it’s like unless it’s properly addressed it’s some kind of taboo in media.

fushuan,

I have not played through it so I’m not gonna say if their implementation is correct or not

you haven’t played either but get to have a strong opinion

???

fushuan,

I wonder who is the one that rolled persuasion, the orc or the goblin pretending to be scared to get a ride with her crush.

The Spotify Car Thing cost $100, but I can't use it anymore. (lemmy.ml)

EDIT: The only reason why I still had it at this point was because I could use it with other apps. However, now that my Spotify Subscription is cancelled, it doesn’t work with anything. It’s mildly infuriating because today, I can’t still use it with other apps like I was able to yesterday....

fushuan,

9.99/m is 119.88/y and it doesn’t stop. Maybe OP thought that the purchase was a one time purchase, and I don’t really blame him, since why would the thing exist if phones with a subscription can already do that it does?

fushuan,

you should just be shot because you’ve just proven your value to society

If you are joking please explicitly express it because what the fuck advocating murder over food is pathetic.

fushuan,

I have, which is why I gave the benefit of the doubt and started my comment with advice since sarcasm and hiperboles aren’t really well conveyed through text.

Also, I replied to the wrong comment originally, mb.

fushuan,

there are active duty Ukranian soldiers that are missing limbs

Then ask Russia to stop invading? That would help.

fushuan,

Shadowheart doesn’t lie to you, she very directly witholds information because she doesn’t trust you, and as she gains trust and actually remembers stuff she opens up to you.

fushuan,

I still prefer it because then I can have teh app on the phone and log into wherever from it, and if I’m in a foreign pc I can log into the vault and copy the passwords. It also works across browsers, so the firefox at home and the edge at work are synced by default

fushuan,

It’s the formal way of doing it in Italy though?

fushuan,

Renting a utility car will always be available until another futuristic thing happens. Having a utility truck fo everyday transport for the occasional moving is very wasteful.

And I know that there’s people that live on farms, have a shed where they store stuff and need those kinds of cars to move around to do work. Sure, those will exist, and they shouldn’t need to be punished for using their trucks for that, but using it for everyday stuff is wrong.

fushuan,

My plan is to work from home, be completely self sufficient with minimal transport and do all I can do online.

fushuan,

Let me remind you that there are rural areas where people life in farms and need to drive to the factory they work in, there’s no shuttle bus, no train no nothing, and while isolated factories exist this will still be the case. They can’t really arrange a bus that goes to pick up their employees, since the roundabout would make it more gax expensive and some people live in places where a bus can’t even dream to get in.

I wish things improved, and that this became a reality for cities, there’s already cities in holland where getting the car in is prohibited, you need to leave it outside the city, but making car dependency fiscally unsustainable is punishing people that can’t have the privilege to work on other stuff. Imagine electrical technitians, they can’t take a bus/train/tram with machinery, even in a city. I’m all in for improvement and punishment for whim driving, but it needs to be regulated well not to fuck again poor people, because factory workers of rural areas aren’t partcularly rich.

For reference, I live in a mountain area, Europe.

fushuan,

Well, you certainly can be poor and need gas money to go to work in a remote factory because you live in a farm in a rural area and there’s no transport, and the most cost effective way is a car.

fushuan,

Eh, I guess? Partially. I have stores nearby that I can go walking, and WFH so yeah internet reliant, but I’m a programmer so that’s already a given anyway.

I did say self sufficient with minimal transport though.

fushuan,

Because apparently I can’t read.

Again, for reference, I don’t even own a car, I WFH and life in a town where public transport is excellent, but most of my family members live in the situation I described. Anyway, even though this post is about urban areas, there are plenty comments talking about cars as a whole, and usually policies done to fix car usage, things like gas prices and such, affect everyone, not only urbanites like me.

fushuan,

Urban centers dropping their car reliance isn’t achieved by making it expensive for everyone, but by banning it’s use and increasing the public transport support.

fushuan,

So you became sick, got it.

fushuan,

It’s not DnD logic, you can revivify a mosnter if you want to, although it only works if they died a minute ago max, and you can use another spell to make that last longer. Also, revivify costs diamond dust. It’s BG3 logic.

fushuan,

if that nice moment with her was both seated talking, then that’s the first scene. One thing you can do with followers once their approval is high enough, is to go back to act 1 and spam partial long rests to trigger the remaining act 1 scenes. Then go to act 2 and do the same to see if new ones pop up.

fushuan,

You throw cheese to butter pasta? I thought that “pasta al burro” was just pasta, some butter and some herbs, no cheese.

fushuan,

Lol what, every living being that lives in their community/societies contributes in a way to it and fullfills a function, or the community will abandon them.

fushuan,

We have actual cheese in europe individually wrapped. It’s a thing.

fushuan,

I’m well over 18 and I give the year field a good scroll down to be like 80y/o because it’s such a bother to click 3 sliders. F that.

fushuan,

Dick. the Dick. D: is usually where the external hard drive is mounted when you only have a single drive, which is usually C.

fushuan,

You are correct lmao, they do it from plastic with is made from petrol which was made from dinosaurs.

fushuan,

if you don’t have your personal browsing using a private profile of a secondary browser which you know you can delete, you are doing it wrong.

fushuan, (edited )

Well, yeah, if I worked at home I would use my personal computer for personal things and the workstation for work, it would be pristine. But alas, in the office there’s so much time I can spend pretending that I’m working because I finished my tasks before I implode.

Some risks are necessary :)

It’s not really about IT not knowing, but about being discreet enough that your boss doesn’t see your personal accounts logged in or even worse, to have two chrome profiles, both with obscure names, press the wrong one and to share the screen of saved tabs with Facebook, Instagram, pornhub… Yeah I’ve seen those bookmarks.

It’s… Wtf… If you’re going to be that deranged, at the very least be discreet… Sigh.

fushuan,

I’ve said this for my country and I’ll say it again, if you don’t vote, you are effectively voting the winning party. It’s your right, but don’t you fucking dare complain later .

(not you you, them).

fushuan,

Working from home has empowered PC gaming for me. I just play a little when I’m stuck, and closing the work laptop screen is enough to disassociate from the working environment. I even have a kvm and reuse the same screens, same keyboard, same mouse.

fushuan,

I’d still prefer being provided with a workstation. This way it’s easier for the company it team to install whatever they need, I don’t need to care about privacy tools and stuff with the work pc and I can just focus on working. Also, no way in hell I’m paying storage space for work files.

fushuan,

They are really great, I have two screens, a mechanical keyboard and a good mouse. When I press they key with the laptop up, I suddenly have 3 screens to work with. If I run any long running process or zi want to listen to music instead of running anything on the laptop I just press the switch and the top screens connect to the desktop while I can keep the screens showing me the progress of those processes below (the screen of the laptop itself).

Peiole talk about working with 2 screens, but I quite enjoy using 3 haha.

fushuan,

nono, the KVM supports 2 hdmi monitors (and I had to use a myriad of adapters to make them fit to the displayport and dvi ports of my monitors and the graphics card) and then the laptop itself works as a third monitor in the middle of the other two, where I have windows I don’t pay much attention to, but are still useful to have like teams, etc.

fushuan,

The point on the cloud is quite arbitrary to be honest. Yeah aws is coming to charge for extra unused ipv4 addresses, because there’s a damn shortage of them and it’s literally impossible to “produce more”. The solution is ipv6 but the infrastructure is not ready yet, which is embarrassing by now.

The point about security seems so god damn stupid. If you can work with limited outside access, it’s going to be more secure, the point of cloud being more secure is not to compare to your personal pc, it’s to compare to pcs that you expose to the exterior. In fact, Internet access and cloud servers don’t necessarily need to be the same thing, when people talks about Internet access they usually mean the web, and servers talk with each other with a myriad of other protocols that are not https.

I’m amazed I even read half of that, and even more that it was such uninformed bullshit.

What’s even the point of this post, I’m clearly not it’s target audience.

fushuan,

There’s so much wrong with the cloud side of this post that I don’t even want to read the non cloud ones, I’m sure that it’s all manipulated bullshit with half truths lmao.

fushuan,

yeah… I partially read the written post here, not realising that it was a BS article. It’s still annoying that it got almost 1k upvotes.

fushuan,

That’s not true either? I never said that. Please don’t phrase your sentence implying I said thing I haven’t.

Cloud has its uses, and price and security are two big ones if you know what you are doing. And even if you don’t, if your use case is big enough that cloud’s expensive aspects arise, you really should hire extra engineers to manage those resources efficiently, wtf.

In any case, if the use case is big enough that managing it without proper planning on the cloud will be expensive, I assure you that doing it on premise will be more expensive the moment you need to expand your resources.

fushuan,

carry on, life is great. Endure and you will be happy. It suck right now but you will spend way more time happy than sad.

fushuan,

I mean… blame both. just because there’s cleaners you shouldn’t mess the place.

fushuan,

Sure, as stated (or maybe it was another chain) I’ll test stuff when I upgrade the mobo, and with it add new m2 cards for extra space.

About PoE, that’s not really a good metric since the game is being updated constantly with extra content and graphical improvements. You wouldn’t really say League of Legends is old, right? It’s from 2009 though.

About wine… Emulators are command/operation/api translators lol.
