These “ai says” articles are all fluff. You can get an LLM to say just about anything you want. This is akin to “my child says we should eat the neighbor.”
First of all, I want to clarify that I have 0 relationship with the development of this project and I am simply a Linux user who always wanted something similar to IDM and I want to share my discovery with more people, with the hope that this program will become more famous. ....
There’s been a string of security blunders in Azure in the last couple years but leaking a signing key and then trying to downplay it is really beyond the pale
Apart from the fact that I was using it as an example, and explicitly stated such, sure I guess? Of course you also need to ignore the fact that I never claimed you said that, or were arguing that statement.
So, y’know, not at all a strawman. But pop off I suppose.
You going to address my question, or just (ironically) use a strawman argument with some ad hominids sprinkled on top?
You might want to re-read what my comment said. I explicitly stated “for example.” In fact, you yourself acknowledged that it was an example. If you can’t understand how that isn’t a strawman argument, I’m not really certain how this discussion can continue. Do you not know what an example is? Because at this point I’m wondering if you think it means “I bet you think this,” as it’s the only explanation that makes sense.
If you’re not willing to answer the question, I can only assume it’s because you’re understanding the parallel I’m drawing. Seeing as how you seemingly understand, I think we can safely end this… I suppose we can call it a discussion if you want.
Bots are indeed a problem, but at the same time so are the huge swaths of users dedicated to a single users whim. When one person with enough pulls says “I want to take over this entire area of the canvas” and it happens in minutes?… it ruins the experience. Bots are just a way for this to happen without the following.

Honestly? For all the bitching when Apple first removed it, I hadent and haven’t used wired headphones for a long while. I had Bluetooth headphones long before then.
I’ve owned three Bluetooth headsets in total. The first I lost, the second is now my wife’s, and the third I still use. I wouldn’t call them disposable, but I’ll agree they are easier to lose.
Something a wired set of anything can’t give me is absolute freedom to move my head and walk away from my phone. I will never willingly go back to wired for anything other than gaming.
That is honestly impressive. I can confidently say I’ve only owned one wired headset for a decade, and it’s the one I use for gaming so it never leaves my office.
Everything else has either broken, or been lost. Though I fully admit, serviceable wireless buds would be a thing of beauty. IIRC there are people out there actively working on the problem (other than the companies explicitly aiming for them to be a consumable forever.)
The only issue this would truly cause in the long run is a bit of admin work. There are and were plenty of scabs willing to take over unmoderated subs. Sure, the quality of those subs would have suffered, but Reddit never cared about that beyond what essentially boiled down to “don’t let “bad” content stay up.” Beyond that, mods could do whatever they wanted for the most part.

I’m blanking on the book number (maybe 3?), but I stalled hard on the one when the gate was first discovered. Just got to the part where they are likely going through, and… just didn’t pick it back up one night. After binging the previous books in a matter of days.
Would you say things pick up? Because it’s coming off as an incredibly slow burn and I’m finding it hard to motivate myself to pick the book back up.
Timberborn is the shit. I get a lot of good playtime into it when it was first released, and honestly I keep thinking I need to go back to it to experience the updates.
Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys city builders/colony sims.
I’m willing to bet they’ll care. When your community is vocal enough about such an issue to crowd out others? Yeah, that’s not a good sign for their investment. And it’s all directed at a single person.

The argument about engagement being worth a lot is kinda silly. The initial numbers of “look at how good we can do!” immediately followed by “but everyone using it has left” isnt a good thing. Advertisers want stability not “big number for short time.”
Look at it this way: If you were an advertiser, would you go with an advertisement campaign on a site that had an average of 1000 users each and every day, or a site that had 100,000 users for a single day, and 10 for the rest of the year?
