Watched only the first. Was desperate to get second season, but couldn’t find it on the high seas.

Then I read about the enshittyfication and never bothered to watch any of it besides s1.

Guess I got lucky

I admire your positivism!

On some of your questions i have some answers. This is from so long ago that there is not a written record. We can’t really compare these people to a modern day or even historical folk. It would take 2000 years for people to describe who lived in these areas, by then they were called gauls by the Romans.

However there is a point made by antropologists that the basque language is a remnant:

Archeologists are unsure whether Western Europe saw a Mesolithic immigration. Populations speaking non-Indo-European languages are obvious candidates for Mesolithic remnants. The Vascons (Basques) of the Pyrenees present the strongest case, since their language is related to none other in the world, and the Basque population has a distinct genetic profile.

Almost none of the settlements are standing, however in the Dordogne region of France (where the famous Lascaux cave paintings are from) have sites where people have lived 17000 years ago.

I’ve been reading up on the Warsaw uprising. Of there anything that a people that went through that should have learned that if you corner people with no way out they will fight to the bitter end, because their life is forfeit.

But with all wars, history is the one thing by the wayside, overflown by modern day political rhetoric and fear mongering, just like back then.

Different people being likened to animals. An insult to animals and humans alike…

But I’m very sure a couple of more minutes of pathetic whinging will convince the mother of my beloved (who won’t speak to me in the phone) that I’m hubby material, and will convince her to date me.

… it’s a very silly love song. Maybe you’d retroactively call it a simp song.

There must be a modern day song about a boy buying digital tokens in twitch or OnlyFans to convince her of his admiration.

Hear me out: Silvia’s moderator.

Gazans have the right to revolution, just as the Americans, French, and Chinese did.

The difference is that those were successful in overthrowing the regime. Even at the time of them happening the established regimes across the world did condemn those, too.

I’m not arguing that the Palestinians should not revolt. However if you do, it helps if you deal a decisive blow. If history shows one thing is is that failed attempts at revolution lead to harsh persecution.

If anything this attempt has strengthened the Israeli goverment, where Israelites were finally fed up with the shenanigans of power concentration of Netanyahu and revolting against him, now everyone falls in line, because of this attack.

I’m not disputing the legality, tactically it’s been a huge mistake. And the ramifications are horrendous, but I don’t think anybody is surprised by that (I must note that I abjectly oppose those).

For those who don’t know, extended edition:

Parabellum is from the phrase ‘Si vis pacem, para bellum’ ( if you want peace, prepare for war), which is adapted from a statement found in Roman author Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus’s tract Dē Rē Mīlitārī.

The sentence was the motto of the Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, the German weapons and munitions factory, which developed the 7.65 mm and 9mm parabellum rounds.

I got sick when Bibi smugly, smilingly denounced this attack and declared war. Lacking any solemnity that a repugnant attack like this requires.

Couldn’t hide his glee.

Sad day for people of Israel and Palestine alike, this sets back any remote chance of progress for another lifetime.

Scientists want to rename the Hitler beetle — but not for the reason you think (archive.ph)

In 1933, amateur entomologist Oskar Scheibel added an unusual insect to his collection. The specimen turned out to be a previously unknown and rare blind cave beetle from Slovenia.
