I’ve noticed YouTube specifically has become more addictive, I never used to be one to sit and scroll for long durations before but I often catch myself spending way too long on shorts now...
YouTube just annoys me lately because the search function is so shitty. I go looking for videos of drag queens and they try and get me to watch Madonna videos.
I had them about a year ago. I’ve never been the same either. A tiny black speck on the floor that is from my socks, or a fruit fly, can send me into hysteria.
The best thing you can spend money on IMO is a bedbug proof mattress encasement and those interception cups for the legs of your bed. Nobody will ever regret doing that. It can happen to anyone, right now Paris is rife with bedbugs.
You should also run every piece of clothing and bedding you own through the dryer, and inspect your mattress seams, and get bedbug mattress encasements.

I have a pug (he was a stray I took as a foster dog and then adopted). I’m lucky with his health as he doesn’t have the laboured breathing (he is much taller/longer than average and much more exercise tolerant), and yet I still warn people who admire him what the risks are every time. He is a cute and funny dog, and even my vet friend talks about how it’s hard not to like a pug because their personalities are so fun, but brachycephalic breeds are unethical.
My friend is a journalist who covers right wing extremism and talks to these people all the time. He says the thing they all have in common is they’re all dumb as a bag of hammers.
