I saw someone on Lemmy recommend Backpack Battles yesterday, its pretty simple to pick up but takes a bit of thinking to start to optimize. I played a couple hours and had a lot of fun.
Borderlands 2 on native linux. Im not a huge gamer but this one is adddictive. Got it for like 5 bucks on steam. Does anyone want to play multiplayer with me. If native linux to linux works
Running nobara OS. Some games require setting launch options. BL2 is one of these for me, other people had no issues whatsoever. Once I get it launched, it works very well. Cant do multiplayer with windows players(or at all? Not sure). www.protondb.com/app/49520
Struggling at the moment to find something to get into.
Played around 4 hours of Days Gone and it didn’t really grab my attention.
Played THPS 1+2, got to area 51 on the first game within around an hour and just found it boring these days, I got ruined by Skate and it’s far superior control scheme.
Started on Forza Horizon 5, I really enjoyed playing 4 during covid and I am craving this kind of arcade racing but I am just struggling to get into this one. I think it is a combination of the map being boring as fuck and so by extension so are the races and there being so much going on on the map yet seemingly nothing to really do. Also being presented DLC on the map as if it is a race I can go and do really rubbed me up the wrong way a bit.
I have Disgaea 6 to try as well as Wasteland 3 and Disco Elysium but really not feeling an RPG right now. I’d like to try NFS Unbounded but refuse to download a shitty launcher to do so so now I’m lost xD
I agree so much on Forza 5, it‘s my first Forza and driving through the wasteland that is the part of Mexico they decided to largely use is… boring. Which is a shame cause the graphics, car selection, and driving is top tier. The Crew piqued my interest cause it‘s on Hawaii which sounds immediately more interesting lol, but I think it‘s overall a qualitatively worse game from the looks of it.
I see some Final Fantasy mentions, but I’m throwing Final Fantasy Tactics in particular into the ring.
Great gameplay (min-max to your heart’s content) that will let the player fail. Also will let the player soft lock themselves and require loading an earlier save if they didn’t have “optimal” builds for some encounters…
It has a story! That moves forward all of the time! Just let it happen and don’t think too much about it. You’re a mere mortal fighting up against gods at some point. Maybe?
Great soundtrack! My personal favorites are below.
Actually my hours are 3pm-1am and I’m a night owl. It’s only about 40-45mins round trip. Roll out of bed and go to work, then come home to video games and movies.
Just listened to All of You and Santa Monica Dream and cried more than at my favorite grandma’s funeral (she was great tho). Something is wrong with me. XD
