Have you tried the remake of 2? It was more difficult for me than the newer games (resources are tighter), but very well done overall. Definitely worth a play if you’re not burnt out after 4.
Yes, that was a day one purchase for me. I think the only resident evil games I have not played now are revelations and some of the weird spin-off games. But, I want to give 4 a go before I play those titles.
I’m planning a big mission to the Jool system in KSP, so I’m working on a reusable heavy lifter, large resource scanning probe, a refinery with small collection ships, a big lander, a spaceplane, a science station, comm satellites, and reusable transfer vehicles.
Oh damn, maybe that isn’t my kind of game then 😅 I don’t mind a few calculations here and there while gaming but idk if I would find it fun to go full blown engineer to play a video game. I’ll still probably give it a go if it’s on sale though
I ‘finished’ Symphony of the Night the other day. By which I mean I got the bad ending, rather than doing some extra stuff to unlock the inverted castle. Should I go back and do that? Maybe at some point.
I’m very close to finishing Tears of the Kingdom, and I’ve also started a new playthough of New Vegas on my Steam Deck. Plenty to keep me busy!
This is probably an irrational annoyance, but I don’t like how finding the inverted castle is near impossible without a guide. I like logical puzzles! So that put me off slightly. I will go back and play through it eventually though.
SotN is one of the best games of all time. The GBA Castlevanias are good as well. Thinking of Castlevania always reminds me of that multiplayer co-op CV game on XBL that I wish was still around… Harmony of Despair.
Oh man, I just found a Unity port of Harmony of Despair with an active community playing it!
Hollow Knight (Great metroidvania, even better soundtrack), Journey (It’s just good. I struggle to describe it any other way), Project: Wingman (Neat game about blowing things up in planes. Has a fun, dramatic soundtrack.), Cassette Beasts (An open world monster catching rpg like Pokémon. The soundtrack is good, although some people aren’t fans of the lyrics.), Cloudpunk (A cyberpunk open-world exploration game. Really great ost to match the theme. Also, the game has exceptional story, especially the City of Ghosts expansion.)
Heard some great things about most of these games, especially around Cassette Beats and Hollow Knights. Is Cassette Beasts perfect for someone who haven’t ever played Pokemon before?
Any other examples you can give since you feel most games do this, and not just Fallout 4? Starting to read your post you send the message you got surprised. At the end you write like all games do this now. Not trying to just argue here, I’m genuinely curious which one it is. Nice thoughts.
I played TP not that long ago (I had it on Wii, but this was my first time actually finishing it). I agree that it’s quite an easy game, but it was enjoyable throughout. The items were nicely varied and most of the dungeon puzzles were clever. The weirdness of the world reminded me a lot of Ocarina of Time. I’ve actually never played Majora’s Mask so I should give that a go sometime! If you’re on Steam Deck, I’ve heard a good option is patching the N64 version with HD textures (which may require a Windows system initially).
Thanks! I will take a look at that option. In regards to those kinds of windows utility, they normally run just fine with wine. I am surprised how many utilities just run perfectly and are able to patch games. I have used some utilities like this to patch wiiu games without any problems.
If you have access to it, I recommend playing the Majora’s Mask remaster on 3DS. I also tried to start the N64 version a few times and couldn’t stay motivated until I played the remaster.
Nice! Yeah, I was already checking out Project Diablo 2 which offers a ton of new content as well. This may just push me over the edge to buying classic Diablo 2 + Lord of Destruction instead of Resurrection.
I found the dark world very tedious, from what I remember. One aesthetic throughout the whole game that was very dreary to look at. Has been many years since I played it though.
I’m starting to really hate the dark world. After the first armor upgrade, you hardly take damage in the dark work. You also get that update really early on, so what is the point of making you take damage in the first place?
Titanfall was always a game I wanted to have a better and longer single player. It’s one of the few games I actually played a little bit of multiplayer for because I lived the concept so much.
