Read the article about this and the policy seems really really dumb. If parents miss the 8:30am deadline they have to wait until 10am. So they have to waste an hour and a half of their day because a school administrator can’t be arsed to walk to the gate and take the child inside?
Like if parents are resorting to throwing their child over a 6ft tall fence maybe take a look at your policies that are making people resort to that?
19/24, one of the accents threw me off. Also some of these are just wrong - sildenafil (Viagra), amantadine and at least one more are not antidepressants at all, and a few of the remaining ones are truly super obscure. "Introduced in Russia in the late 60s", "Indian antidepressant from 1982", "Formerly marketed in Spain and Marocco" etc
At first I thought you were talking about something like whatever-iazid, the first "antidepressant" that was actually an antibiotic and the antidepressive effect was completely accidental. But yeah, I suppose that makes sense, too.
For the purposes of the quiz just being a drug of some sort is probably close enough to add a few more rounds. One might also argue that Viagra makes a peen harder to depress? Anyway if they didn’t put in fake Tolkien names or names from other authors I figure it’s fine.
That’s hilarious. If they released a Mystery Science Theater type of series with kids commentary I’d cash in all my pto binging all that unexpected nonsense.
I think this is confused Sauron’s main job is engraving little poems into home-made jewellery of which he takes a little portion of his day out to try and subjugate all Middle Earth and give the orcs rights.
The Hobbit clearly suffers from trying to force a 90 min movie into 8 hours. Someone on Lemmy mentioned that there was an edit (90 min, or 2 hrs maybe? ) that was fantastic. Haven’t seen it though.
Yeah, but you can’t magically make Tom Bombadil appear. Absolute travesty that you pull so much shit out of your ass but you don’t put in a character from the book (he is kinda meaningless, but it’s beside the point).
