I mean the one you do when you want something easy to do, but not when you’re tired at the point you microwave a frozen-meal, or just cut down a piece of cheese and put it in a bread
Open faced sandwiches (smørbrød/smørrebrød/smörgås) - slice of bread or toast, butter and some topping.
Very nearly as no-effort is boiling or frying an egg. Very nearly as no-effort as that is a scramble or omelette. Grilled cheese sandwich. Pasta with butter (sauce), garlic and/or chili oil. Baguette/sub/hoagie kind of thing as an upgrade on the sandwich - they sell "half-baked" ones that keep for a good while. Bacon and eggs, carbs optional.
A basic stir fry or meat-in-pan-sauce are still easy. Get whatever equipment makes your preferred foods (or healthy eating) easier.
Interesting. What we would call "snitter" is larger quantities of open-faced sandwiches, as more of a catering thing that's traditional in some contexts. Usually with a few typical toppings like scramble/smoked salmon, roast beef and potato salad, prawns and mayo.
Warm is arguably even worse. Heat kills microbes, but all the reactions driving their growth tend to accelerate when it's warmer. Rice can harbor some nasty pathogens so it's important to chill and refrigerate it ASAP
Hopefully not what they mean, rice needs to be chilled fairly quickly after it's done - even then, you don't want to keep it for long. There's a specific bacterium B. cereus that thrives on rice and can be really nasty.
It is. What constitutes "cooking" for the purposes of "what can I be assed doing" is a tricky question, though. Carbonara is arguably a simple recipe, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily low effort...
These guys are getting harder and harder to take seriously. As disappointing as the game itself is, what the fuck is this? Defensively and passive-aggressively trying to argue with reviewers? Long ramblings on how unfair it is that one of the world's most significant game studios, freshly taken over by enormous capital... gets a little criticism for the flaws it its products? Do you need to be an expert Twinkie mass manufacturing engineer, really, if a new product is, let's say, a tenth of the size and tastes of sawdust?
If they're gonna insinuate it's not the obvious reasons, maybe they should've served up some less obvious reasons - I'm sure they would've been convincing.
He was slightly less irritatingly smarmy back when. Myself, I at least took his Skyrim hype with slightly less skepticism than "lol, yeah, pull the other one" before it came out.
Forgot the algebra using fruit emoji or whatever the fuck.
Bonus points for the stuff where suddenly one of the symbols has changed and it's "supposedly" 1/2 or 2/3 etc. of a banana now, without that symbol having been defined.
I’ve got a niece (5) and nephew (3). The niece is really good about finding ways to entertain herself and the nephew will always try and take it for himself and intrude, usually not in a compromising sort of way. Obviously, this is pretty typical kid behavior overall....
I mean the other 2 countries, Canada and Mexico, how similar are both of them to United States?? Both countries have a similar economy and democracy etc, and I think those two countries share things like supermarkets, stores, etc. I suppose the cultural differences are not a lot, that is very nice.
So people get toxic when you advertise misleadingly? Who'da thunk it.
People do turn into nutjobs about games, but also, with only their word for the toxicity and no word at all about what they mean by it, it's hard to have an opinion.
Also, a related "article" has this gem:
... doesn’t appear to be an MMO after all but an extraction shooter. This goes against what previous teasers shown by developer Fntastic alluded to and clearly describes on the game’s Steam store page and official website.
Is this terribly broken English or am I just having a minor stroke?
Correct, they're not. PSO appears to be 4 players. PoE appears to be 6. You could call them "MORPGs", but that term has never really been common. They are certainly not massively anything, and I've never seen them described as MMOs at all.
The "traditional" definition involves tons of players (whatever that means for the time period, platform etc) active in the same world/server/instance. Even games with a zillion concurrent players would not fit, as long as those players were "isolated" to smaller servers.
I mean, it looked basically like something a talented modder could put into the GTA 5 engine (followed, I'm sure, by an instant cease-and-desist or lawsuit by Take2) so... yeah, I'm sure it is. Big whoop? GTA 5 looks OK but it is also ten fucking years old.
That's nothing new. Aside from resistance (vaguely the same mechanism as antibiotic resistance), some chemotherapy regimens could end up causing other forms of cancer - after all, fucking with DNA is what a lot of it does.
Haven't watched any of them in a minute, but all I remember from the third and/or fourth was a kid with an RC car, and how it all seemed more like a bootleg version than a sequel.
No, but I tend to disable a bunch of the categories. If it makes it hard to avoid BS/irrelevant/uninteresting/"fake" notifications, notification perms go away, or the whole app does, usually with a free one-star rating. (As if that realistically matters)
GTA IV was a major letdown coming from SA. Also GTAO is a bad joke. It's always been shit, from the terrible architecture and netcode allowing rampant cheating, to the ages-long wait times for the simplest thing requiring matchmaking, to the "economy" in MP being completely ridiculous, to the shart cards.
I've only played SA, IV and V to any real degree. V's singleplayer is fine, but it's not like Rockstar is infallible - even when Take-Two is not twisting their arm to make it even shittier. Take-Two is a whole different story.

That's because unless they get rid of the first-past-the-post system, it's 100% wasted.
Unfortunately, FPTP also keeps the existing dominant parties complacent in only having one enemy, so they don't actually have to try very hard. So changing it is unlikely to gather a lot of steam, either. "Lesser evil" sucks, but is ironically a lesser evil than just throwing away the vote entirely.
Discworld is sometimes compared to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. That's to say they're both heavily tongue-in-cheek, not "hard" scifi/fantasy. HGTTG is "hard" scifi in the same way Rincewind is Gandalf - ie not at all. They're running more on Rule of Funny, and it works pretty well. Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams were both English, of course, and have quite a bit of overlap in their humor, commentary and writing style.
Looking for a good, not too difficult, single player FPS that gets right into the action without too many story requirements, and is a lot of fun, and is not Borderlands (because I have played them all). EDIT: Forgot to mention I am looking for PS4, XBOX One X, or XBOX Series X. Thanks!
Far Cry 3, 4, and 5 are games I've had a lot of fun with, at least. They let you pick how you approach most of the "free-form" stuff though story missions will have you do things in specific ways.
I don't think so. I try to not be overly "conspiratorially minded" but I'd 100% believe in a millisecond that the "collateral damage" is the point all along here. Google is pushing constantly for more control and this is just another item in the long-ass list. After massive pushback on Manifest 3, they "cancelled" it a while back and now they're right back pushing it again.
I'm pretty sure they shot it down because "1) we can, 2) no fun allowed, 3) fuck you". That seems to be their "corporate values" these days - or whatever the Suitspeak term is.

What non political thing do you notice more from people of specific political groups?
Let’s keep it light-hearted. For me I’ve seemed to notice way more conservatives back their cars into spaces than their liberal counter parts.
