Very nicely done - and a great selection of others there too. My son is a budding DM so these will be perfect for him. How does your patreon work? I’m assuming there’s something preventing people from signing up for a month and simply downloading everything!
Thank you! Well, the short of it is that depending on the tier you sign up for, you’ll be able to download a certain amount of previously released One-Shots or Adventures every month. All the files are hosted on google drive, so when a patron requests access I can approve them! That prevents the issue you’re talking about! You can find the finer details in my Index and FAQ
There is a way to access all the content though, I just recently added yearly memberships, and anyone who becomes a yearly legend will get 2 months free, unlock everything I’ve ever made, and all upcoming content for the next year along with 6 exclusive fully prepped One-Shots that are being released Bi-Monthly!
Hope that answers all your questions, If you’re curious about anything else just let me know!
Fantastic post! I am hoping to bring my second dnd group through this original starter set soon, I had to buy the booklet off eBay for $35 because it’s not being sold anymore, having been replaced by Dragons of Stormwreck Isle
Honestly, at tier 4 the resident party wizard has enough reality-shaping abilities that I find it quite difficult to follow a pre-written adventure without them nuking the entire content and forcing me to improvise.
And considering how badly written most of 5e’s campaigns are, I don’t think this will solve the issue at all.
That’s what I hoped for OneDnD, but after the last playtest, I think it’s safe to assume it won’t change anything because it would take too much time and effort.
It seems to me it’s a pvp focused game, which is not really my thing. Having fun as a party is the main reason I play DnD to begin with. Too much stress already, I like sitting and playing a chill adventure with my friends instead of competing against them.
Sorry, i read the link while half asleep. The article itself is only a few lines long, and then it diverts to “Other Darrington Press games” and I didn’t notice it while reading.
I’ll check it out when it releases, although the problem with other systems is always the same - my group already knows dnd and doesn’t want to learn a new game. I bought some pathfinder books a few months ago and I’ve never had the chance to use them.
Fun idea! Thanks for sharing! I can imagine using it near the end of a campaign, kinda of a montage of all the major places/plot points they went to during the campaign.
Thanks! Steal it my pleasure! You could even use a character that they liked a lot but you didn’t remember much about and make it into the Train Driver/Pilot(?)
Generally speaking, I think it’s the ideal use case for AI art. You wouldn’t likely otherwise be buying art assets, and most likely just be finding whatever comes up under a Google search anyway. Meanwhile you can dial in to a clearer representation of what you want to depict from the art without necessarily having to “make do” with “oh, it’s like this but imagine he’s an elf instead…”
It’s not even though. Tolkein was very deliberate about what he included in his world, whereas Forgotten Realms is just “we need to make up some shit so that everything can go here”
For me its the Star Spawn Emessary I mean, look at that thing. But for real the entire Far Realm take on eldritch horror type monsters is just fascinating to me and one of my favorite fantasy types.
Jade Phoenix Mage was pretty cool. The capstone ability was that you literally explode, dealing a huge amount of damage to everything nearby and literally vaporising yourself. Then you reform on the same spot 1d6 rounds later completely healed of damage and most conditions, with all your gear.
