I didn’t say that, I said it’s more comforting. Unfortunately I need my phone for work so I can’t run a de-googled rom so it’s good enough for me. And I never see ads referencing things I talk about.
I wondered off on my own while my party argued over something and stumbled upon a room occupied by a dog like creature that eats pretty much anything with a heartbeat. I thought he was cute so instead of preparing for battle I prepared for scritches. When I rolled a 20 I think my dm got excited because it’s my pet now and he can talk.
I’ve seen too many people spend more money keeping a system alive than they would have spent upgrading to modern hardware and I refuse to be like them.
First drop of doubt for me began at a Wednesday youth service. Not only was I such a strong believer that I went to church in the middle of the week, I drove myself because I was the only one in my family who wanted to go. The youth minister was giving a class on cults and the more he spoke the more it sounded like my entire life was being part of a cult. Following that thread led to me finally admitting to myself that I don’t believe anymore about 6 years later. It was a long road with lots of doubt and denial but that one sermon on how to identify a cult woke me tf up.
That was basically the answer he gave me when I asked what separated us from a cult. He must have forgotten all the evil done in the Christian God’s name because Christianity also has a history of being dangerous.
I just got up from conversation with a couple of older black men, that I said “well I got to go back to work and start cracking the whip.” And it occurred to me then that it was probably a really insensitive stupid thing to say....
That’s just how humans are. It’s not just about words but actions too. If you get drunk and drive your vehicle and hit and kill someone you go to jail. You didn’t intend to kill anyone so why should you be held responsible? Sure intent matters but it’s not the only thing that matters.
My point wasn’t that intent doesn’t matter, it’s that a lack of intent doesn’t mean you can get off. You didn’t intend to kill anyone but still get charged for killing them.
That doesn’t mean a lack of intent will absolve you from crimes. If so things like negligent manslaughter wouldn’t exist a people wouldn’t be in jail for accidently killing someone.
Don’t forget they’re pushing chrome on the whole internet. Websites are already telling Firefox users to fuck off if we aren’t spoofing chromium and it’s only going to get worse after this.
I’ve singlehandedly caused hp to lose thousands of dollars. People trust my advice and I’ve lost all trust in hp so I tell people not to waste their money on it.
needs to be a bit more polish for non technical users
There’s a curve to this. If they’re non technical enough, learning to use Linux for browsing Facebook is just as easy as learning windows. I’ve switched a handful of my older customers to Linux and they’re my least needy customers now.
Sure but the license isn’t to purchase those products. There is no licensing for them even though you typically use your license to prove your age. You can also use a passport or military ID or a standard state ID that looks exactly like a license but requires no test. A liquor license is to sell, not purchase. And for the record, I like your ideas but using something like a medical card for purchasing weed would have been a better example.
A truly random shuffle can play the same song twice. A truly random shuffle can play multiple songs from the same artist in a row. In the fullness of time all of these will happen with a true random shuffle. Nothing does that these days.

You’re abusing a lack of context, it’s literally one word. If my ex asked what you thought of hers and said “fake as fuck” she’d say “thanks” because she’s proud they’re fake.

If they’re not active combatants they’re not a target. How can you tell the difference between someone who is condoning/supporting vs someone who is just trying to survive? You can’t so if they’re not actively a threat they’re not a target either.
I talked to the barkeeper in Starfield from the wrong angle and he only turned his head and it was very uncanny valley, because over the whole conversation I was questioning how he can still talk with a broken neck.
They might have fixed it by now but a certain little fortune teller has a very similar issue in an elevator in cyberpunk.
I haven’t played starfield and don’t intend to but I played cyberpunk on launch thanks to a covid scare and even on launch it was a good game to me. Had it’s problems but I got 300 hours out of it before the year ended.
A lot of it already exists too. Like if you want to burn a flag in public you’ll have a designated area your permit would allow. Cops wear shorts sometimes. Gay couples exist. Statues of much worse people exist. So much of it is “I’m afraid of people.”
I ordered something from someone awhile back and it came with a free flash drive in the shape of a credit card. It had pictures of puppies on it so naturally it’s a puppy linux drive now.
This is entirely irrelevant but hopefully someone gets a smile out of it.

This may seem kind of stupid but I am kind of stupid, is there a list somewhere of phrases that are stupid or insensitive racially or gender biased?
