poke,

Let people enjoy things smh

poke,

Is it gonna knock or just stand there

poke,

who else basting their yurkey til it’s up

poke,

It’s more obvious when it’s someone with emoji as their name (you know who you are :p )

poke,

It’s been more than a year and a half.

poke,

Mr. Incredible would agree.

poke,

Hopoo, the original devs, were already making this and got to finish working on it after the purchase. It adds new content and refines the gameplay of the original (movement feels better and the game just generally plays better) - it was also designed with modding in mind.

poke,

The environments look good, hope they play well too.

poke,

I know they’re doing all that they promised but I feel so bad for the owners since the next version of Android will have some nice improvements for foldable phones.

poke,

I don’t play COD all that much, but I was one of the crowd who made my purchase of MWII in part because it was supposedly going to stick around for 2 years. I feel slighted that they had nearly complete versions of nostalgic maps in Warzone only to never release them in regular multiplayer and instead hold them for MWIII. I refuse to support this bait by spending on COD any further.

What are some alternative to soulless videogame franchises?

What I mean is… sometimes people are very loyal to a videogame franchise or a company because they loved a game they released years ago (Silent Hill/Konami with Silent Hill 2, Blizzard/Bethesda with their respective golden eras, some could argue this happens too with Pokémon and Final Fantasy, etc). Ethical/consumer reasons...

poke,

Above but the chao garden is required to be in the replacement.

poke,

What’d you bring for lunch?

poke,

Heads up to anyone using this, the $5 coupon they offer for an in app purchase didn’t work for me. Don’t make any purchases that depend on it.

poke,

Looking forward to trying Head Bangers, fingers crossed it’s good!

poke,

Shin Megami Tensei and Dragon Quest Monsters come to mind. Both have some edgy designs. Yes, Digimon has some as well.

Not that I even should have spent the time typing this, you’re just being rude so it’s hard to tell if you’re even making a good faith argument. What do you even mean by “Pokemon but with constant crying”?

poke,

I’ve previously modded a game on a PC and just copied the files over to the steam deck and it worked fine.

It wasn’t a Bethesda title, though. Don’t know how mods work for those.

poke,

It’s on a new engine and is technically a new game but Valve overwrote cs:go to make the inventory changeover work afaik. Lots of people seem to not know about the beta option to play GO, I think Valve should make a better process to access it so more people know that it’s an option.

poke,

I wouldn’t call the steam deck the greatest piece of gaming hardware ever. There are many very well equipped PC handhelds out now. The difference that Valve brings is that their software is impeccable and they have a good history of supporting their hardware with up to date software for many, many years.

poke,

This comic is old, Mac major OS updates used to cost money.

poke,

When it comes to browsing the web and showing content and having good add-ons, edge does a good job.

But why does it need to constantly advertise itself and other microsoft things to me? It’s annoying when Firefox does this, but it feels like edge does it almost every time I open it.

poke,

pihole and an always-on syncthing node.

poke,

It’s a shame that the remake of this game removed some of the best aspects of it.

poke,

Wouldn’t it be significantly easier to bypass if it were open source?

poke,

It doesn’t seem to me like encryption is comparable here. With encryption we have known algorithms that are harder to reverse than initially run. This is a completely different problem, where many inputs are taken and some algorithm has to decide if they are human or not. What digital task can a human do that a robot can’t in the same way, especially if the robot knows exactly the measures it should aim for?

poke,

This isn’t a problem of security, this is a problem of deciphering between human and non human users.

poke,

Explain

poke,

If you have a known algorithm for generating those hard-to-read images, then it really wouldn’t be that difficult to generate a large enough set yourself to train a custom ML model to solve them. The same would apply to audio challenges.

Only one person would need to do it then they could share the process, potentially automating others being able to bypass as well.

I like the idea of captcha being open, but unlike encryption as far as I know we don’t have a starting point on something that is actually easier for humans when all information is available. Until something like that exists, open sourcing to implement and improve it doesn’t make sense if you want an effective product.

poke,

It’s portable. That’s what you’re paying for.

poke,

Eh, guess I’ll drop my review.

The game seems good and mostly well made, with the best hand-crafted environments I’ve ever seen from Bethesda.

But when it comes to the core gameplay loop, I feel like I’ve played this game already and I got bored very, very quickly.

It truly plays like Fallout 4 but with more menus and loading screens in order to fast travel somewhere. There is space combat, but it doesn’t feel compelling to me. Click on bad ship until kaboom.

You want to fast travel? Drop some things, you can’t fast travel while encumbered. Please undock first, we have some quest events tied to undocking and we don’t want you to miss those. Please fast travel to the planet before landing at a location, we have some quest events tied to the space around planets and we don’t want you to miss those.

Again though, the game is generally well made and I can see a lot of people truly enjoying it and the many gameplay systems you can dive into like settlement, ship, crew building, and side questing.

The slower-paced looter shooter gameplay loop just really isn’t for me right now. I’d rather play Fallout or Borderlands.

Note that I haven’t commented on the story. I don’t feel like I’ve experienced enough of it to really give a good opinion on it. I’ve played 4 hours.

poke,

I hope Risk of Rain makes it out of this alright.

poke,

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is my favorite DS game. I’m really hopeful this one is good. I also really hope it gets released on PC.

poke,

Great work on this series so far! Thanks for making these :)

poke,

You know how convenient it is to just have some wired headphones lying around in the car in case I need them for some reason? (Like if I forgot my wireless ones for the gym).

I can’t do that with wireless headphones, the battery will passively run dry.

poke,

The comment you are replying to linked AI and automation. It makes total sense in this context.

poke,

That percent of the market really changes for some indie titles who have noted a substantial amount of their purchases were from Steam Decks.

poke,

It’s very likely part of the promises they made to get the merger approved in some regions.

poke,

Mobile Firefox did not show a comment on the second link.

poke,

I almost wanna bet that he’s gonna be the only one with the feature still on

poke,

The matter has to move through the portal at the speed of the train, and it won’t suddenly lose all momentum when it’s done being pushed through. B imo.

poke,

Think about how fast the people will be moving through the portal, their matter will be shoved through extremely quickly so it wouldn’t be right for them to suddenly lose that momentum when they’re all the way through.

poke,

I would hope the final unit has more storage than that. 2TB doesn’t cost much these days.

poke,

I forgot about this segment, thanks for bringing it up.

poke,

There’s a lot to unpack here

Can't get a .csv of my subscriptions from Youtube

After following the instructions provided by NewPipe to download my subscriptions list for import, I get a .zip file with nothing but an HTML file within. No data related to subscriptions at all. If I opt to download an export containing all my Youtube data, then I get a couple of folders for History and another data subset but...

poke,

For me, I had to switch from my personal account to my YouTube brand account before doing the export.
