One study suggested that the reactors could produce more nuclear waste than current systems and that they “will use highly corrosive and pyrophoric fuels and coolants that, following irradiation, will become highly radioactive.”
Molten Salt reactors are great at recycling spent uranium and don’t really cause pollution. If anything they reduce pollution because they create less nuclear garbage.
Over here in Germany it has already shown that you can’t fully replace nuclear power with green power. What you instead get if you try to shut down all the nuclear reactors is an increase in coal fossil fuel based plants, which are far worse for the environment
So, do you want nuclear power and have us learn how to recycle nuclear waste, or do you want to abolish nuclear power and have us return to fossil fuels? These are your only two options.
That’s actually exactly why it took the Romans so long to technologically advance. “The slaves do the job well enough”.
The idea of water powered mills and general aqueducts were mind-blowing to them and took a while to catch on. It seemed utterly unfathomable when everyone relied so much on slaves
It should be noted that while chat services that many use require low bandwidth, sometimes on throttled speed it’s not enough to even make a basic Google search.
It is likely that the person you are talking to already used up their high speed mobile internet and now is running on throttled. Searching something up can take a minute or two in that state. Opening up a website or navigation becomes straight up impossible.
And this isn’t even some kind of loophole or technicality. Heat metal is meant to be used on metal items enemies carry to disarm them. So this is a perfectly valid use.
The fact that our dear nobleman went for adamantine skin instead of something more reasonable like an adamantine plate, is his fault.

I got a task to buy a smart phone for my grandparents, they are not techsavy but they know how to use basic functions. Iam looking for an andoid because it has language pack i need. I dont need it to have lots of functions, onley a good camera and a big screen. Bonus points if it can be flashed with some kind of simplefied...
Some older apple devices. I usually despise apple devices but their strong points usually are big screen + good camera while also being piss easy to use for non techsavvy people.
People overlook vegetarianism and semi-vegetarian lifestyles as an option too much and it is not helpful that real life examples of vegetarian cultures, get co-opted by Vegans purists as “Vegan cultures” in easily disproven claims- thus hurting the whole movement
This so much this. A mostly vegetarian lifestyle with the occasional meat IS sustainable. People forget that before industrialization, we ate meat like once every one or two weeks. You could count the number of times we ate meat in a month on one han
Mind you I’m not arguing against that exotic pets are abnormal, but the normalized pets are felines and canines which actually evolved into a symbiotic relationship with humans on their own accord.
And keep in mind. 30k years. That’s more than 10% of our existence as a species. It’s a concept more ingrained in us than even the idea of civilization itself. It’s more logical to question civilisation itself than to question humanities relationship to felines and canines
I mean the Nintendo switch and other Nintendo consoles show it. You can design a console in a unique way and then design games around it.
A PC doesn’t have that luxury. It’s still great with custom hardware but there is much less incentive of including say, a touchscreen in your games. Or motion controls.
As a long time Baldurs Gate fan… Story was NEVER a strong point in the games. Or characters even. Baldurs Gate was always in every iteration a very classical RPG story with fun gameplay attached.
No one plays Baldurs Gate the dark alliance for the story. People play it because it allowed them to experience DND mechanics in a virtual setting. The co-op was an amazing bonus.
It’s also important to note that Baldurs Gate as a series, was spawned in a time where “Cookie cutter RPGs with the same aesthetic, story and near identical world” was rampant. You’d find a million games that felt like they could be set in the same world by different publishers and quite frankly they would all blurr together. Baldurs Gate is merely one of the few games of that era that managed to become a franchise.
Okay, does it provide the same nutrients at the same amount of higher? Even then you’re comparing to ground beef, which is too expensive on its own already
I did one time provide a room that slows down time for my players. It was after a highly long dungeon stretch at what was the finale of the campaign.
It helped that the dungeon itself was a time warped anomaly so it was easily justified. The whole place was also modelled after the IRL Titanic.
Afterwards they had to fight a gauntlet of a fake final boss, an escape sequence and then an abomination of a dragon (which before seemed to be the fake final boss’s pet) rampaging through a city, before said dragon revealed it’s true form as a far realm abomination with time based powers.
Sometimes you gotta allow your players to cheese a little.
You gotta make sure to remember that some animals don’t know how to back down. This is not in hunting scenarios but general confrontation some animals will get completely caught up in aggression and self destructively begin hyperfocusing on murder mode.
Dogs IRL do it surprisingly often. Humans are also known for it. Adrenaline is a bitch.
