You could do NIC teaming and get 10gb/s overall (on the network link - idk how they route USB/NIC/PCIe/etc.). You wouldn’t get that on a single connection that way, though. You’d have to either be content with multiple connections, or not team them and use a multi-path aware protocol like iSCSI.
So, this is Windows focused, but it goes over the abilities and shortcomings of different types of NIC teaming and the shortcomings that I was referring to are independent of OS.
In this case it’s “Ingress Protection” rating - as in how well it prevents water and dust from getting inside the phone when exposed.
Edit: since I’m on hold and bored, here’s the Bard description of the rating system
The Ingress Protection (IP) rating system is a two-digit code that tells you how well an enclosure is protected against dust and water. Here’s a quick breakdown:
First digit: This is for solid objects, like dust, fingers, or tools. It goes from 0 (no protection) to 6 (dust-tight).
Second digit: This is for water, like splashes, rain, or immersion. It goes from 0 (no protection) to 9 (protected against high-pressure water jets).
So, an IP67 rating means the device is dust-tight and can withstand being submerged in water for a short time.
Here are some real-world examples:
IP44: Splashproof phone, suitable for light rain or spills.
IP65: Dustproof camera, good for outdoor use but not submersion.
IPX7: Waterproof smartwatch, can survive a dunk in the pool.
IP68: Rugged phone, can handle being underwater for extended periods.
Remember, IP ratings are just guidelines. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions for specific usage advice.
I used to regularly snooze my alarm which i had set for 7:00, however recently i have noticed that i directly wake up by my alarm at 7:10 and don’t remember snoozing my alarm!...
Seems pointless and inconvenient for me as they usually seem to be poor quality, and can you really listen to music in the shower, and are you showering long enough to benefit from it?...
I have a Sonos portable speaker that I keep in the kitchen but take into the bathroom while I shower. It just sits on the shelf outside the shower. I like music while I shower, and doing it this way keeps good quality without risking the speaker.
I’m underutilizing my rig tbh. I’ve been playing primarily Factorio for the past few years. My monthly game spending is low. Tempted to get a steam deck for mobile Factorio with mods, though.
I pay for Spotify for 7 years or so now and i'm so sick of all the ads. After every update there seems to be an: oops, sorry, you have ads now. Podcasts are filled with ads. I was just listening to a podcast where they shoved in 3 ads mid-sentence. How long until musicians put ads in their songs. I'm just so sick of it.
That’s not Spotify inserting them, it’s the podcasts.
The podcast may elect whether or not to include it, but it’s definitely Spotify performing the legwork. That is unless you think it’s a coincidence that I (with my Spotify home address set to Iowa) got an ad from the Iowa HHS on a podcast by a British podcaster.
It’s simple: if you’re a person that’s supposed to be shutting down that computer, you’ll be able to. If you’re encountering the message, you’re using the wrong account, or you’re the wrong person to be doing that. Switch accounts, or call up the right person.

That’s why I riot - to seize the means back.
I have a Pixel 8 Pro. I can see the “bumps” if I look at an extreme angle with the screen off. They’re not visible with the screen on, and they’re below the screen so there’s nothing to feel. It does seem like a non issue unless something changes.
Do you own one? Can you see the bumps with the screen on? The screen doesn’t have to look good when it’s off - there’s nothing to look at then. It just has to look good when it’s on.
Okay, I own one. In fact I’m typing this on it. I’ll answer my own questions. I can see the “bumps” if I look at an extreme angle with the screen off when it’s under a light. They’re not visible with the screen on, and they’re below the screen so there’s nothing to feel. It does seem like a non issue unless something changes. This whole thing feels overblown because “Google bad”
I’m not convinced it’s a defect. For it to be a defect, it has to be unintentional and unwanted. There’s nothing at this point to suggest it was unintentional, and it doesn’t have any impact on my experience using it, therefore it’s not unwanted. It’s entirely benign.
I own a Motorola Edge 20 Pro. It came with a 30 Watt Turbopower charger. However when I test the charging speed with the app Ampere I’m getting around 3 amps (max) and four volts with the stock charger....
I have using picsart for a long while now. I don’t edit much but picsart has lots of features, but unfortunately the app is becoming more and more bloated and it’s riddled with ads and stuff. So I was wondering if there was any good FOSS alternative. Thanks in advance.
I mean, “spaz” as an insult is generally regarded as offensive to people with disabilities that cause muscle spasms. Even if it’s “spasm”, I can see where the offensiveness angle makes sense.

Yeah, that’s about it. The ATF deals with making minor interpretations of existing law regarding its purview (which are sometimes challenged in court) as well as enforcement of regulation regarding items that are legal. The DEA is all about enforcement of the prohibition on drugs. It’s the same reason that the DEA and the FDA are different, despite both dealing in drugs.
Everyone’s missing the real issue. Springs, motors, or pneumatics don’t matter if there’s something in the way preventing it from closing. A cheap fridge on an uneven floor will close the door itself if there’s nothing in the way, but if the jug of milk is hanging off the edge of the shelf with no room behind it, the door isn’t closing without something getting damaged.

Not complianing about it since it gives us a good selection, but it is a trend I have been noticing lately.

Why is the DEA and ATF separate? Seems like they cover similar things from similar circles.
Is it because alcohol, tobacco, and firearms also have legal pathways? So they spend time tracking down cheats and checking/enforcing regulations?
