Yeah, there’s this weird agism I’ve seen. Maybe they think the ‘young people’ (30 years in this case) are bragging? I just view it as someone adding their context, nothing abhorrent ¯*(ツ)*/¯
Apple was also hitting student deals pretty hard at that time if I remember correctly. They’ve targeted students since nearly inception.
They’re also journalist students. I’m not saying apple is the end-all-be-all, but at the time (and at least in my company still) a lot of graphics people use macs
Yeah, that’s what I was trying to get at. Apple was (and maybe still is I’m just not in the ecosystem) pushing really hard for the younger generation to have experience in their OS. Including donating devices to schools
“Every great decision creates ripples, like a huge boulder dropped in a lake. The ripples merge and rebound off the banks in unforeseeable ways. The heavier the decision, the larger the waves, the more uncertain the consequence.”
Or basically anything 7th said
Edit; I’m gonna leave this here as a showcase for The McCoy Years.
There have always been ways to link up your Quest headset and Steam library, but these have rarely been wireless, or as simple as downloading an app and entering a pairing code. Now, the VR marketplace has opened up entirely, and it’s all thanks to the Steam Link app.
What are they talking about? I’ve been using airlink only for the last 2 years. And it is as simple as downloading the Oculus app and confirm a pairing code.
Meta exclusives can Fuck all the way off though, I only buy my VR games on Steam. Meta has demonstrated they can and will remove titles you paid for and installed.
Gonna give it a try tonight with some of the demos. Should figured it was better haha
Edit; gave it a try, can’t speak towards performance but the interface alone is a huge plus. Loading into the actual steam environment feels faster. Since it runs as a native oculus app you don’t get that awful ring around your waist when fiddling with Oculus settings.
I desperately want a steam deck for comfy jrpg gaming. I prefer my action/adventure/FPS to be on desktop, yet also find turn based a bit slow while at my desk. Don’t have the funds, so I just hacked my vita instead haha
Yeah, I had the same issue back in the day. I was playing on mobile though (by far my least favorite way) so I think I’ll give it another go. ‘And We Got Older’ has been in my library since I first played, so at least the OST is banger
Step tape in a private mansion? Do we know where this is? I have a feeling it was turned into a public space (even if just tours) and then left. I’d love to know more
Edit; I went down a slight rabbit hole trying to figure out where this was taken. Looking up the artist shows quite a few articles on his pictures. They all just boil down to the same pictures, Christian grew up in East Germany before the walls fell (so plenty of abandonporn there), and mainly SEO dump for a few paragraphs. All the links sourced are broken/unclaimed as it looks like he deleted his Instagram. In the hard quoted sections they list Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, and Poland.
I don’t know if I’m bored enough yet to try and look up archives haha
Thank you so much for sharing!! My German is shit so I ran it through translate haha. Seems to be a turn of the century publics use building from the get go, and a possible renovation project these last few years.
I’m unsure if I’d say ‘focus on’, but I feel The Good Place is a good fit. Honestly funny scenes, but still hits on some heavier points. The cast is lovable, often relatable, and who can say no to Dancin’ Ted Danson‽
I grew up near a nuclear plant as well! We even got mailed the potassium iodide pill in case of emergency. I’m awful at onomatopoei, but it sounds like ours were different. Mine scaled up to a high, monotonous whine.
Regarding should have and should ‘of’; I’ve always understood it to be should’ve, which when spoken tends to keep a short vowel sound in the middle of the contraction that makes it phonetically sound like ‘of’. Bit of a bone-apple-tea.
I’m probably just going to watch Byf/Myelin videos for the conclusion of the light and dark saga. I’ve been with Destiny since Beta, and got really invested in the lore. I’d stop playing for a few months and jump back in for the story beats/gunplay. Now all that wind has left my sails, and I still can’t believe they let go Michael fucking Salvatori
I’ve lived in SoCal for most of my life, but I love wearing sweaters. As soon as it gets cold enough for me to not have a heat stroke, I’m wearing one.
Honestly this launcher has been a pain point for me from launch. All of these oversized windows for ease of use with a controller are too busy imho, and even before MWIII it was about 50/50 if there was a server side patch that required a restart.
I have SSDs and M2 etc, I shouldn’t have to wait 5-10 minutes to launch the dang thing
There’s also been a rapid increase in sport gambling spots and sponsorship. It plays on emotions and a feeling of belonging, so a pretty apt comparison.
My apologies, I truly didn’t mean anything along those lines. It is an important feature of the musical, but that’s hard to describe in a four panel Yu-Gi-Oh meme. If that’s the consensus though, I’m happy to remove.
