I hadn’t cried in 7 years and decided to do some emotional exercises to make myself cry. So I managed to cry about 4 months ago, haven’t been able to since even with my grandmothers death. Might start trying again.
Zitate können in vielen Situationen des Lebens hilfreich sein – und im richtigen Augenblick angewandt nicht nur Eindruck schinden, sondern auch die Stimmung aufhellen.
You would be surprised… Like 15 years ago a guy entered the U-Bahn ( subway in Germany ) where i was in, sat beside me and was like, talking a lot and i was pretty relaxed and got into the conversation. Turned out, he was Brazilian ( i grew up in Brazil) and we actually had a nice conversation.
But like after 10 minutes he stood up and said “time to get to know some girls, bye - see ya”. A lean guy, tall, wicked, but in a one piece luffy kind of way. He looked around and went straight to a woman, sat beside her and guess what. They were immediately in a deep conversation, but she got out just two stations later, but not without exchanging numbers.
A moment later he was already talking to another woman and she was visibly positively engaged in a conversation.
I was dying inside, when he went to the first woman. Then I was intrigued and this made me think a lot. For example, this is normal behavior in Brazil ( still, not that bluntly ), but here in Germany not. People are usually very reserved, keep for themselves. This guy, talking, very broken English, doesn’t even know that any kind of other leagues exist. He exists in a language overriding, extra smooth king of league.
Here’s the thing, i admit that my first thought was: he went ti the most"out of his league" woman. I was sure this was gonna be a
“Bitte, lassen Sie mich in Ruhe!”
moment or that she would just change seats, without engaging at all.
I met him a few times after that, he was like, at all parties for the next few months, always talking to everyone and making lots of friends.
I was 22 and this encounter changed some of my views for the better. I learned that you should not judge or assume anything, about anyone, just by their looks.
There are people that are not open to this kind of direct talking, even more so in the subway and I’m sure people told him off. I certainly am not looking for new friendships, when i commute and would rather be left alone. Ah yes, that happened at 7:30 in the morning, on my way to work, of all times and places.
Only the Spanish inquisition storming in, would have topped the unexpected-ness.
Yeah, i don’t understand why this isn’t more of a topic, whenever there are discussion about damages caused by Musk’s takeover…
Mostly for USA, Twitter was something you could rely on. Hurricane? Twitter had the latest and most helpful information in no time.
Even the government’s Amber Alert was tweeted officially. When Twitter was suddenly behind a login, there were weeks where access to life saving information was blocked.
Also, all kinds of groups around the world were organized around Twitter. One could say Twitter would have been able to organize revolutions.
Musk, the clown, manages to draw all the attention to his bullshit behavior, while the death of twitter is probably met with great joy by some important people we never hear much about.
Actually, i can’t really tell, if Musk is doing this, with the intention of fucking Things up or if this is really what he believes to be a good take on handling his Twitter arc.
I wish, we had less Trump & Musk poisoning our lives with their vulgar existence.
Yes, this makes sense. He is also visibly flabbergasted, when booed at, while getting on the stage in some of his appearances ( normally appearances after he tweeted about something he did ). It makes it seem like he was expecting the contrary reaction from the audience.
To be fair, i assume everyone would at least look a little uncomfortable, if booed at by a crowd, while getting on whatever stage.
He’s a perfect public figure for some real evil people. The way he stood by that table, full of big macs, fries and coke… I think this is the proudest moment of his presidency.
For him, that is a legit dinner, and a good one at that. If he perceives the world in a similar way, he may really not really realize what kind of damage his antics cause. The damage happens in the real world, a world he seldom sets his eyes upon.
I was thinking about that when I was dropping my 6 year old off at some hobbies earlier - it’s pretty much expected to have learned how to ride a bicycle before starting school, and it massively expands the area you can go to by yourself. “Just throw the kid in” This works for just about everything, you’ll be surprised.
Dinner? Just gather the ingredients ( to be fair, they’re still kids ) and throw the kid in. They’ll be a master chef in no time, it’s natural.
But seriously, i also learned by instinct, but i remember lots of kids were cautious of and some were really afraid of water and needed a little teaching and patience. It was part of school here in Germany, no opt-out.
You have to laugh … I remember Glastonbury, up to my knees in mud - it’s all part of the fun. Having said that, it’s unlikely turn into a survival situation in a field in Somerset, so not really that comparable …
But that’s not the point. Him getting away with it or not, is one thing. The people standing in front of the Jail since 10 am, waiting for him to show up. Eager and sincerely wanting to show him their support. Firm in their belief that he cares or needs the support.
Half of the nation really wants someone like him to be president.
And they stand even stronger by his side, after these last weeks.
This is the tragic message and important lesson from this.
The opener band was We are born between piss and shit, then CBT came on stage. I think the singer really got the best piss gurgling voice I’ve ever heard. That was a wild concert.
