heimchen,

Barbie & Her Sisters in a Puppy Chase is a horror movie

heimchen,

I see your argument that thinking how a pig in a meat factory feels is just speculation, but there is a point where we have to think about the future and speculate what could be and how possible it is. If we have better options now, and, maybe not as a single human, but collectively can act to stop this harm with a great possibility, I think it’s worth it to speculate. I don’t no where you draw this line, but it is beyond mine, so I am willing to speculate that this is the better way.

heimchen,

And I would say that I am ready to speculate, that stopping this suffering does not conclude to more.

heimchen,

Realistically wasm gets good enough, that everything starts to become a webapp so that every app is an every os app.

heimchen,

I don’t get Dart. It should have been a CS:GO clone

heimchen,

Tiling capabilities don’t make a window manager a tiling Window manager. They would have to tile by default and when ever another app gets opened.

heimchen,

I just misread the comment.

heimchen,

I feel so sorry for this building, it looks quite nice.

heimchen,

Free Dos falls short in so many ways.

heimchen,

I wanted to try since I sometimes had to execute legacy applications with it.

heimchen,

I like the fediverse theme of naming their platforms animals

heimchen,

Is wealth really the one thing we should be capitalism thankful for? I wouldn’t argue that it helped make so many advancements in so many fields in such a short time, but from my understanding, wealth isn’t really something that helps living a better life. Wealth is more a by-product of hoarding. Like if someone would hold the monopoly over something like housing, they would have immense wealth. If all houses were to be distributed, so that in this theoretical village everyone would have a house, this would still lower the overall wealth of the village. First of all the houses would be priced more competitively and secondly no one would be in desperate need of a house and thus wouldn’t buy houses at an impractical price. I would agree with you that throwing away all lessons learned from capitalism is a bad idea, but wealth isn’t it.

heimchen,

Runs at industry standard speed.

heimchen,

Could you please resolve the question for people that did not watch star trek. What did she do?

heimchen,

🤦🤦

heimchen,

There are no child hospitals in the Bible 😡😡😡/s

heimchen,

Its not something that effect’s your every day live its just a book

heimchen,

Friends of mine had IT classes but with a 60+ teacher, that told them that lcd screens are the new hot shit. I don’t know what’s worse, nothing or such outdated information in this rapidly changing environment.

heimchen,

Link communies. When two communies are linked they act like one with multiple names distributed on multiple instances. This would solve the dublicate communities on different instance problem.

heimchen,

My basic text editor on Winows somehow broke and crashes with a wired memory error so I WordPad is my basic text editor

heimchen,

Takes a bit to long to start for such simple things like just fixing copy paste formation or testing different keyboards etc.

heimchen,

You mus have a nice install. I see them when I press the windows button. I see them when I press a random combination and this wierd left side window pops up and task bar shows you not only weather but also shares.

Why are YouTube comments so much different than any other comments made online

YouTube comment sections are weirdly positive always. It could be a video of some horrible crime and the comments will be about how great the channel is and encouraging the channel to keep making more videos. When j visit actual fan pages anywhere else online there are always a mix of opinions. But youtube is constantly full of...

heimchen,

Personally, ther wieredst comments are on SoundCloud

heimchen,

Naja, meiner wurde schon dazu benützt daten von Rocket engine Tests auszuwerten. So fern find ich das nicht

New features/changes to the Android ecosystem will almost always go against what enthusiasts want.

First off, I don’t think every single one of Google’s decisions regarding Android is good. Hell I actually think they’ve blundered too many times to count when it comes to bringing new features to Android. That said, for Android to mature further, it really needs to go the “it just works” route that Apple’s been...

heimchen,

I would call myself android enthusiast. As in I compiled my on LineageOs and love tinkering around with custom Roms. I really dislike these proprietary blobs, like shar( and the app that manages screen on time, like why isn’t this included in ASOP) I say, I get the top funktions out of my phone by rooting it.

heimchen,

I understand that they don’t have to add them, it just would be nice if they also mad it open source or don’t take anything away.

heimchen,

I stay whit Sony phones. Besides me loving the 21:9 ratio, they have headphone jacks

heimchen,

Which one do you have?

heimchen,

I use gnome and it works with custom Icons so 🫥

VENMusica, to linux
@VENMusica@mastodon.social avatar

@linux I just switched from windows 10 to Ubuntu Studio last Saturday, just wrapped up the transition yesterday. I love Linux. It is how a computer should be. I lost access to my audio interface, Keyscape VST and Valorant, but I have gained so much more. The Terminal is so much better than Windows neutered offering

heimchen,

I love Linux, but it taught me to make backups

heimchen,

I think the mega thread is a good place to start, but have checked out x1337 for movies

heimchen,

try not to use new in the sorting, activ works for me, but this would be the direct link discuss.tchncs.de/post/62225

heimchen,

You could have made it more clear with this username

heimchen,

Just be aware if you visit Vienna, the Schnitzel Wirt(where even Ed Sheeran ate his Schnitzel) is closed during summer. I see so many tourists every summer confused because it’s closed.

heimchen,

Since I am vegetarian there is no insensitive for me to eat there either, but yea after I heard them say that they think all Friday for Future Protesters(on the World strike) should just go to jail, I pretty skeptical about it.

heimchen,

I was thinking about doing the math awhile ago, because a full A320 Neon only uses 1,5l per passenger for 100 km. They just don’t burn the same fuel and at different altitudes.

heimchen,

Oh, I thought it was just my problem. Could a new profile solve this instead of Firefox reset

heimchen,

I would be this Ipad generation, but came from the other side. I started “programming” with logic gates on some sort off app. This lead to me, disliking floats and mostly only using unsigned 8 bit intager and still feeling they are to big. Another problem of mine is that object oriented programming feels so abstract.

heimchen,

Crosspostion from Mastodon to lemmy would be cool

heimchen,

Yea, just so we don’t need screenshots anymore

heimchen,

It must have stopped with Win11. Tried to upgrade one of my family members Laptop. Took the ssd from the old one, put it in the new Laptop and only got to the Windows rescue Window. With Linux. I can setup an ssd with my laptop and when setup, plug it into my headless server and everything works fine.

heimchen,

Its just now possible to turn it off for all apps with one swipe and on click. Like I know WhatsApp need Microphone access for voicemail, but I can turn off the access for all apps with one click and turn it one for all apps with access when I need it

heimchen,

Stock android ain’t to bad
