Squadron 42 is the single player campaign of Star Citizen, that is supposed to launch as a separate game. It's basically a small portion of Star Citizen, but with a story and ending. I'm still not confident; waited too long for that.
Backed the kickstarter, still excited. Even in its current state it’s one of the more interesting games I’ve ever played. There’s probably a reason no one else has tried to make star citizen before. If SQ42 ever launches, hopefully in a decent state, assets will start getting moved to the multiplayer side of things.
I’m an Offical Apple phone repair tech. A lot of things stop working once you place new parts in, things that have even thrown me for a loop and made me think I did the repair wrong. I replaced a display, and the vibration and camera stopped working properly. I thought I damaged the haptic feedback motor (That I didn’t even remove) You have to sign into apple’s repair website, and ‘run a diagnostic’ in order to get the vibration function to work again after you swap a part on some models. They all do some weird shit.
Sometimes swapping a camera on a model will cause the camera in app to run at like 3 fps or Face ID will stop working until you validate the parts on their repair site. It’s shit.
ublock origin blocks spotify ads well. I have found a lot of new artists using spotify, I avoided it for a pretty long time. When I find artists I like I usually buy their stuff on bandcamp cause i can get flacs

“Not content with depriving girls and women of education, employment, and free movement, the Taliban also want to take from them parks and sport and now even nature, as we see from this latest ban on women visiting Band-e-Amir,” Human Rights Watch’s Associate Women’s Rights Director Heather Barr says.
Not to mention that a lot of the times the Afgan Army went on patrols with US forces, The ANA we’re fucked out of their minds on opiates and just fucked around.
Just thought I’d share something I thought was pretty interesting. I have a mother in law who is… well let’s just say she’s a stereotypical older mom who doesn’t own a computer, just an iPad. During the pandemic, she started getting into Nintendo games and bought herself a Switch. Fast forward a few years later and...
If I am not mistaken, before there was the #Civilization franchise, there was “Empire”. It was a fun game. There is #EmpireDeluxe available on #Steam, but I miss the DOS version that I played a lot.
Modern games today are usually limited to certain themes. If it's flight, it's flight. If it's tank, it's tank. If it's strategy, that's it. Carrier Command have it all.
I know, we can still play this today, however, what I miss with this game is the 2 player mode.
You just play with your friend and blast each other to friendly matches and laughter.
Being able to play 2P mode, face-to-face, is something that we have taken for granted, and now we're all just virtual avatars in online games (even online multiplayer games).
So, how about you?
Q: What are the five (5) video games from the 20th Century that you want to be able to play again today? And why?
A lot has been said about Trespasser but I wanted to bring the huge amount of information together with the context and comparison to other games of the same year (my retrospectives aren’t usually this long!)....
That was a fun read! Trespasser has a special place in my heart for sure… Would love to see someone tackle a vr mod or remake and keep the original audio/dialogue
While Baldur's Gate 3 is being widely celebrated by fans and developers alike, some are panicking that this could set new expectations from fans. Good.
Whenever I play I just assume there’s a reason no one else has tried to make star citizen before. Though they def have a problem with management and scope creep though
Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t the first successful attempt to marry cinematic aspirations with the traditional branching narratives and simulationist world-building of CRPGs. 2009’s Dragon Age: Origins had a very similar mission statement, offering a spiritual successor to BioWare’s earlier Baldur’s Gate titles long before...

I woke up and remote downlaoded using my phone and went back to sleeeeeep. But i just found out my dog has congestive heart failure so I haven’t been able to enjoy it :(
things are in fact going extremely badly but we’ll see if they pick up starting tomorrow night for reasons that will preclude me being here for about a week (seeing my SO)
Not good. My dog has congestive heart failure. I’m trying to cope with it but it’s hard. Got him after I got out of the military, was really fucked in the head for a while and was having a really hard time and he pretty much saved my life. Considering selling my car to help pay for a 40,000 dollar heart surgery that University of Florida might be able to do but… I know that’s just fucking crazy. Too much money and they probably have so many people lined up that it’s not possible anyway. My newest hobbies are crying and listening to his heart murmur every night as I go to sleep
I feel like if I don’t do everything in my power to help him then it’s my fault but I know that isn’t true and I’ve given him a good life.
My dad is dying too, he doesn’t want to talk about it. It’s weird because I kind of feel indifferent about it. I don’t know. I feel lost right now. I’m trying to be objective. Dogs die, people die. I’ve lost plenty of friends and family and obviously the world keeps on ticking. Right now it’s pretty rough, beehaw. I’ll keep on keepin’ on, I guess.
Excited, but also a little disappointed they didn’t allow co-op. One of my favorite games ever and i’d like it even more if I could experience it with a friend. Hoping they can add onto what made it great in a meaningful way
I’ve had it since 2018 and I really like it. It’s not the fastest thing in the world but it’s quick enough and it gets me out on trails pretty confidently.
I had a jeep previously, and wanted something similar but I was also thinking about getting an STI or an Evo X. The FXT seemed like a decent middle ground. It’s pretty comfortable, my 6+ foot friends sit comfortably in the passenger seat and rear seats. I can fit all my camping stuff in it, and with a Nameless exhaust it sounds really, really good.
Have you ever played a game and wondered what if you could do something that it doesn’t really allow you to do, for example being able to move around blocks in Minecraft fluidly instead of in sectors, edit the world in Hogwarts legacy with spells, be able to fly in a world like Elden Ring or Elder Scrolls with epic sky...
My friend and i dreamed up a Zoids mmo, whered youd create a pilot and could fully customize a zoid. Itd have a huge open world with places to explore and fringe pvp areas where good loot was. It would have arenas where pro matches would be held from mlg players or whatever and youd be able to watch the streams live either at the stadiums or through streams on in game tv’s. Winners would get real cash prizes.
Im super bummed at the lack of real co op these days. I see people cry that not every game needs to be multiplayer when people ask for co op. but all we want is to be able to play a cool open world with a decent story with 1 or 2 friends :'(. Im so bummed dragons dogma 2 is still singleplayer
