The age of consent in Germany is 14.

Also applies to other countries in Europe iirc, but I can’t confirm that because that’s not something I’m willing to put in my search history again.

I’ve recently started watching Alice in Wonder1and . She’s a trans girl from New Zealand, doing some form of memey content in some way related to trans or femboys. I personally find her content really entertaining.

I also like ParrotDash’s content. He’s the person who completes about every Celeste map ever deathless. Their content is more stream highlights, but is still entertaining.

Firefox Flatpak version crashes when trying to print, but apt installation works fine.

I can not figure out why this happens. I tried to play around with all the permissions, reset printer settings on Firefox, created new profiles, all had the same problem. But when I used those same profiles on the apt installation it printed just fine. Is there some weird Flatpak sandboxing happening because I can print fine...

Iirc there’s a seperate flatpak permission for printing

I googled something along the lines of “top transfem names”, clicked on the first link I saw, and picked the first one I saw. Have this name for a few months now and I’ve been pretty happy with it. It’s not the perfect name for me, but it’s pretty close and I gave the search only like 5 minutes.

One thing I heard can work is just making one up. Throw together two or three syllables and see if you like it. If you like it, congratulations, you just found a name, if you don’t, try again.

Also don’t expect a lot of euphoria from just choosing your name. For me at least, being referred to by it was much more euphoric than choosing it.

Stupid question: where is the difference between the long r word and the r word?

    backhdlp,
    @backhdlp@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

Oh okay, thought there was a third r word.

What made you choose your instance?

Following the spirit of spreading across the Fediverse (and because my main instance is down so many times, because diverse reasons) I’m intrigued about the joining instance process, because I honestly don’t know what criteria to have in order to join another one if I ever want to do it....

A launcher (I think it comes from app launcher) is usually the overview part where you have the apps and widgets and the wallpaper. Installing another launcher will let you change how it looks. The difference between most is how you can customize them. The default launcher only has basic customization, which can be more than enough for most people. Customization options can include icon size, icon shape, icon notification badge, app drawer, dock, icon themes, folders, gestures, and others.

This is just the traditional understanding, which a launcher doesn’t have to follow to be a launcher.

A clear benefit to using a different launcher is being able to change the experience you have.

I recommend you just search for launcher in the play store (or on f-droid if you’re feeling funky), and just give some a shot, just to get an idea of the differences.

The launcher I use and recommend is Nova Launcher.

Widgets don’t have much to do with a launcher because they’re supplied by the apps. I don’t use them much, but a calendar, weather, and search bar are the ones I have, all pretty useful.

I don’t think there are any laptops that have no fans. What if you have a workload that exists, is the cpu just supposed to overheat?

I mean placing your phone in one of those car holders or having someone else hold it. It may not be entirely as convenient as having it displayed on a built-in screen, but it’s Google-free and works. I don’t think there are any full software alternatives, because to my knowledge, the car has to allow apps to access the monitor, so you can’t just have any app there. Whatever other things Android Auto does, you should be able to do with just your phone.

I guess the alternative is to get something to hold your phone in place.
