I have an idea for a get-rich-quick scheme: using the Bessemer process to create massive amounts of high-quality steel. However, I'm sure my #DM has not given a single thought to this (because I know her) so I'm worried that this might give God fun #worldbuilding ideas to fuck with our party. How do I tell my group my plan, without having the industrialized slave company I know is on the other side of the map spontaneously develop a similar process?
Powiem tak - nie jestem w stanie ocenić tej książki obiektywnie. Ma swoje wady, ale chłonąłem ją jak głupi, przypominając swoje dzieciństwo i to, jak nieuzbrojony w Internet łapałem wszystkie informacje o Dungeons & Dragons, Forgotten Realms oraz M:tG (choć nie o tym ostatnim jest ta książka, mimo że zawiera wzmiankę). Głównie działo się to przez gry wideo, ale fascynowały mnie nawet instrukcje do pierwszego BG (to były grube książeczki), zestawy kart, fanowskie artykuły, książki (chyba miałem nawet coś o Drizzcie) i wreszcie podręczniki gracza i bestiariusze do 3. edycji DnD. I chociaż nie grałem za długo w papierowe RPG-i i w sumie nie jestem aż takim fanem takiej rozrywki, to lubię o niej czytać i uważam, że można mnie zaliczyć do fanów światów fantasy, co teraz objawia się głównie w czytanych lekturach.
Co ciekawe, to wszystko działo się po wydarzeniach, które zostały opisane w tej książce, bo kończy się ona w 1997 roku. Ale nie zmienia to faktu, że zawiera tyle informacji, które uporządkowały mi historię i tyle razy przypomniałem sobie, że kiedyś nie miałem innych problemów jak np. zapoznawanie się z nowymi światami, że uważam, iż to lektura dla każdego fana RPG-ów. Docenią ją też ci, którzy lubią czytać o tym "wrednym kapitaliźmie", kiepskim prawie pracowniczym, a także podumać nad losem poszczególnych pracowników.

One of the PCs realized in a moment of Mythos-inflicted hysteria that he hadn't used the bathroom in 9 months, which led to him slowly realizing that he was in an episodic work of fiction and would stop existing when the story was over

I must say compairing my playthru so far with a number of let's plays on the same difficulty (balanced) and turning OFF Karmaic Dice seems to have made my playthrough easier but the fights DO take longer since there a lot more misses.
