What is general practice for installing games from outside Steam? (kbin.social)

PC/Linux/Steam Noob here. I just got a game from GOG and I’m seeing tutorials mention Heroic, Lutris, and Wine via ProtonUp-QT as methods to get non-Steam games installed and running on Deck. Which method would you consider the easiest and most reliable for content from GOG, Ubisoft, Epic, etc…

It can work, everyone loved Squid Game, so you’d presumably find many talents to work on it. Corporation wanting to make money on it doesn’t really change the quality. So it all boils down to management - if the management’s gonna suck, so will the games.

Heh, same happened to me. In the end I cancelled loading while it wasn’t fully loaded and that helped.

I guess the guy they credited with the translation used AI without them knowing.

No one was banned, it’s not my community to manage. I don’t believe this could be considered doxxing.

There’s also no reason to downvote content that perfectly fits the community. Perhaps them and me are unreasonable? Or, more likely, all of us have some reasons for our actions.

Xbox wireless controller pairs but will not connect. (SOLVED)

I purchased a brand new Xbox wireless controller. It paired with my steam deck easily but it will not connect and the “X” button on the controller keeps flashing. I’ve hit every button on the controller and can’t get it to actually connect. I’ve also rebooted the steam deck....

Can you connect it to any other device? Can you connect any other controller to Steam Deck?

I also seem to remember having to update the controller before it would work correctly with Steam Deck, if you have Xbox, it should happen automatically, otherwise you need a Windows PC to update it manually.

Possibly people would over time stop treating them like enemies, if they actually behaved like allies. The whole world is (very slowly) moving away from any dependence on China.

If they actually cooperated with the rest of the world instead of trying to take advantage of it while slowly planning how to take over Asia, they’d have it easier.
