The problem isn’t the LED itself. The problem is engineers that read the datasheets where it shows which forward current they need. What they forget to think about is that the recommended forward current is for max brightness, so they slap whichever resistor they need, and never give it another thought.

Whenever I design a LED circuit that is only used as an indicator, I always make it 10% or less than recommended, because I do not need to burn away my retina when I test the boards.

GoGo Penguin is a jazzy trio from the UK that makes midern jazz that is really engaging. I’m really a progmetalhead, but this band is ficking epic.

Bersarin Quartett is another band that I love. It’s is a bit tough to get into, but it’s really rewarding if you like slowish dreamy complex music. All song titles are in German, but luckily there’s no lyrics.

The reason for this could be that people who are smart enough to write something comprehensible is most likely not going to do so because of the risk of getting comments from brain dumping people. I used to work in a store selling electronics - like Best Buy (but a foreign distant cousin). It amazed me that so many people were technically challenged.

Yeah, well, I have to disagree with you on this one.

A few years after I met my wife, we had to sell her apartment so we could move to another city together for jobs. We tried to be cheap and sell the place ourselves to save money. We teamed up with a lawyer that specialised on selling real estates privately. We had a few viewings, but people were hesitant to bidding. We got a lot of questions about why we didn’t use an agent.

After a few weeks, we contacted a real estate agent, and sold the place after just one viewing for a better price even after paying the agent fee.

I think it is important to leave the job to professionals when selling thing with high risk and high value.

My main reason not to use iphone back in the days (10+ years ago) were the small screen sizes, and the lack of standard USB connection. Now that iphone 15 is rumored to have USB-C, I’m actually considering it.

The reason for considering it is because carplay is superior to android auto.

The whole issue here is that people fall for the trick of buying the cheapest printer available, that is clearly way cheaper than what it costs to build. Then people get cranky for having to buy these proprietary cartridges which are way overpriced to cover the cost of the printer.

The easiest solution is to buy a laser printer (unless you need photo finish on your prints). It’s a higher initial cost, but it never dries out. Would it cost me more that an ink printer in the long run? Maybe, but with my infrequent printing, i wouldn’t have to replace dried out cartridges every year.
