if you care enough about climate change to not have children you should have adopt children.
This will reduce the population increase, while at the same time help children already in the world and being dealt a shit hand. It’s not an easy role to take, but if it makes one child happier then it’s worth it.

Bear in mind the US also has massive gaps in their public toilet doors. They do seem to be struggling. Then again I’m from the UK, so… Yeah. Send help.
I am not an audio expert by any means. I am a gamer though and haven’t noticed any issue with audio on Linux in any distro I’ve tried in the past 2 years.
A few days ago I sent a GDPR request to some company to delete my personal data. They said to install their app and send a ticket from the app. The email was sent from the email address to which the account is registered. Is this even legal?
The individual responding isn’t the issue. They haven’t made any decision to respond like this, they are following a script.
The script is written by people who should know exactly what they are doing, so the result is either malice or negligence. Either way it’s unacceptable where the law is concerned.
They’re partially right. Eating sugar relaxes the stomach making you feel less full.
I don’t know if it’s by design, but having a small dessert after a big meal will make you feel less bloated and more comfortable.
In JS a Boolean has 4 states.
true
false
undefined (where the key is set to undefined)
undefined (where the key doesn’t exist on the object)
<span style="color:#323232;">if (obj.value === true) {
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> console.log(1);
</span><span style="color:#323232;">} else if (obj.value === false) {
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> console.log(2);
</span><span style="color:#323232;">} else if ("value" in obj) { // key "value" is in the obj, but it is set to undefined
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> console.log(3);
</span><span style="color:#323232;">} else { // key "value" is not in object
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> console.log(4);

The United States was founded? 4th July 1776.
Columbus reached the Americas in 1492, but it wasn’t the US then. There was a whole revolution and everything.
I trust they did their best.
I also trust that any sufficiently tech savvy individual will be able to bypass that system. It only takes one person to pull it off and then it’s public knowledge. Sure, they’ll fix it, and then someone will do it again.
Small companies can’t afford to take that risk and larger companies won’t want the hassle.
It’s a shame too. I liked Unity more than Unreal. Oh well.
Sorry, no archive link. Best I can do is a copy & paste.
Lyft said on Tuesday that it was introducing a feature that would help match female drivers with female passengers on its ride-hailing app, in an effort to improve safety and encourage more women to drive with the company.
The feature, Women+ Connect, will allow women and nonbinary riders and drivers to make being connecting with each other for trips a priority by toggling on a setting in the app. They could still be matched with men when no women or nonbinary people were available nearby.
Ultrasounds for cats and dogs are fairly standard in the UK. I don’t think they are strictly required, but they will do them if they are unsure about a pregnancy or if they suspect complications. Not really a big deal and they are covered by insurance if they are deemed necessary (though not usually for pregnancy).
Just checked on my vets website and a pregnancy ultrasound is £90 for cats, dogs and rabbits.
Mozilla released their studies, and I’m seeing a growing number of posts on the Internet about cars and the privacy nightmare they entail. I remember how this issue wasn’t talked about earlier because “just buy an older car” was still prevalent. I’m so happy that people are taking notice. Thank you to this community...
There are a few options I guess. If enough people notice then there may be more money in being the company that respects privacy and just charges more for the car up front.
It might even encourage more people to buy used instead of new.
Or some people might just decide they don’t need a car.
Caring is the first step to actively doing something. The more people that know, the more that will care and the more people that will act. Gotta start somewhere.
We used to be a great nation… Invading… Murdering… Stealing… Imposing grass deserts… Now we have left the EU, are implementing government spyware and have no plans to make anything better…
I don’t remember what my point was, but England is shit and I don’t want to be here anymore.
You have to hand wash them otherwise this happens. They use a super inferior glue to stick the letters on. Careful hand washing can keep it clean, but eventually the letters will just slide off.
I think it’s 10% funny, 85% cute and 5% clever. I am entertained, I smile at them, makes me see the world in a slightly different way. Overall they are worth the 30 seconds I take to look at them.
I write this because I have several accounts on Reddit and I really want them deleted but I can’t delete them now that I’m permanently banned. I can still go into Reddit and browse. How does that even make sense?
