Before my wonderful cat passed away, he was never interested in “people food”. But there were 2 exceptions that he went absolutely bonkers for: ranch dressing and Taco Bell.
A good grapefruit is so juicy and sour… I love them!! I peel them like an orange and devour it like a ravenous wolf tearing flesh from bone.
Raspberries are also frikkin amazing. I remember as a kid, we went to a farm where you could pick your own, and I just ate so many while picking that I got sick in the field and couldn’t get up. 10/10 would absolutely do again.
But honestly… now that I think about it, I may choose a good mango over both. 🤔 But still. All 3 are excellent and amazing fruits! I wish I could try more delicious fruits I haven’t had yet!
IPO = Initial Public Offering, where shareholders offer to sell their shares to the public, shifting a company from a “private company” (it belongs to me, you, and that guy) to a “public company” (it belongs to anyone who pays enough for the shares)....
Legitimately, though: I listened to my sister tell her 4-year about “yummy spices” at Thanksgiving. The example she used was “like salt!” I was horrified.
She also made & brought the absolute worst green bean casserole I have ever tasted in my life. It was like wet, crunchy green beans covered in French-fried onions (which came from a can, which is why it’s pretty much the only thing she got right).
She used “no added salt/sodium” cream-of-mushroom soup, the green beans, and the canned fried onions, and added nothing else.
I love green bean casserole, as it’s one of my favorite Thanksgiving foods. Even offered to make it for everyone this year! But she insisted that she wanted to do it.
The only thing that was salty this Thanksgiving was me.
I don’t think it’s the fact that people are too easily offended, if that’s what you mean. It’s good satire, to be sure. I just personally think that the amount of people who play a lot of video games are marketed towards these days may not be the crowd known for their… critical thinking.
Plus, it’s things like sensational journalism that I feel would be the ones to put out their opinion to outrage the masses. Again: I don’t think that people are “too easily offended” or whatever these days. But many are easily swayed by mass media opinions. That’s just my thought.
I do understand the appeal, to a degree. Don’t hate people who like them or anything like that.
Capitalism is bad, yeah, but this particular brand of marketing mental illness as cutesy “uwu” stuffed toys just digs at me in a bad way. Especially, as you said, it’s marketed to a vulnerable populace.
You could argue that this helps to “de-stigmatize” or “un-demonize” mental illness, but something about this just feels wrong to me. And I love cute plush toys!
Pączki — Americanized pronunciation like “poonch-key” (Polish folk, don’t come for me: his name was originally correct ((Pączek)) but no one could remember it or pronounce it correctly).
He has a platform with a heatlamp in my living room where he gets treats and watches the cars go by.
Highlights: The new bra in Kim Kardashian’s lingerie range, with its “daring” raised nipple detail, goes on sale on Halloween, but not, I think, because the effect she’s going for is “scary”. The sales pitch is “No matter how hot it is, you will always look cold”, but I’m not sure “cold” is the look she’s...
Not being able to have children ≠ not being able to get your dick wet. It’s a much more personal and stems a lot from the choice of being able to have children being taken away from you.
This is a post about equating sex with self-worth and how fucked up it is for both parties.
