With the hype of Section 31, I really wish there was a continuation of DS9 like the documentary had. It seems so weird to me that a series that was hated had a critical part of it taken for the newer series.
With Google owning VirusTotal and having Google Project Zero, I’m surprised Google doesn’t have its own equivalent to Windows Defender. AFAIK, Play Protect isn’t really that good at spotting malicious apps.
Microsoft Defender for Android (through Microsoft 365) is there for anyone paying for 365. IIRC, T-Mobile customers get Lookout Premium for free.
I never used Evernote because I found it too limiting (in 2014). For those who use it, what exactly was/is the appeal of it, or keeps you using it? (I use OneNote for projects, google keep for short scribbles and recently, Microsoft Loop for breaking down information).

A fan from the beginning, I really do hope it continues. The move to Hulu got many more fans introduced to the crew, and I’d hate to see the show end on such a fantastic third season.
So I switched to a pixel 7 from an iphone 10 xs a few months back, and I’ve absolutely loved it in comparison to the locked down nature of an iphone. I use a userscript that will like a video (even if not subscribed) if I watch at least 80% of it. As for commenting, it really depends on the topic. Like, if someone needs help on a tutorial, yes. General videos like PewDiePie, no.
As for subscribing, a channel’s content must be interesting and not feel corporate. It always feels good when you find a new youtuber you like!
I mean… Google already does this… We know Microsoft already does this. This feels like an attempt by Mozilla to garner attention from both the press and users to promote Mozilla accounts.
Mr. Robot; showing the worse of humanity, how far people will go corrupting once held morals the whole way. Not being able to understand oneself or the people around them, but still wanting and hoping to see people enjoy life.
I believe the series ended on a great note, though some may disagree.
I enjoyed that brief Android Chrome experiment where the browser supported moving the address bar to the bottom. Now that feature has been made available on iOS, but remains AWOL on Android.
I donate to the Mozilla foundation, and I love Firefox a ton. But I can’t seem to like the UI by installing a theme, and when I change it to look better the browser slows to a crawl. Does it really matter all that much if I use Chromium?...
The average person won’t give a fuck about the implications of using said browsers, which “strangers on the internet” make them aware of.
I never implied that people were being bullied into using a specific browser, just that people shouldn’t give a fuck if they post a picture of their desktop and someone bitches about them using Chrome and starts circlejerking Firefox/Brave/[Insert Browser Here].
Question: with this introducing another party into these requests, wouldn’t this be exposing you to another company? If i recall correctly, Firefox connects to cloudflare by default.

To add to the blog post, if you use user scripts, utilize your manager’s blacklist and learn REGEX.
If needed, use Group Policy, Regedit or .plists on macOS to blacklist domains to prevent an extension from running on them. As an example, I use Shutup.css to block comments online, but on something like Lemmy, I want to see comments as that’s primarily how content is created and adding it to my extension domain blacklist prevents the extension from running on the website or any lemmy domains.
So you’re mad because people don’t want to download another app and create another account, and generalizing a whole generation because they don’t want to use signal? You’re just bitter.
Absolutely. Unrelated to mail but related to data, Microsoft 365 comes with “Microsoft Defender for Individuals”; it monitors the dark web and HIBP for leaks… you can many different things from your personal information to your cards and insurance… sounds interesting at first until you see that Microsoft has partnered with Experian if i recall correctly, so you’re giving information away to a data broker/credit broker.
As an ad blocker/tracker blocker, AdGuard works really well.
They also have a “browsing security filter” which may be of concern to some people. This filter, similar to smart screen and Google Safe Browsing, will check to make sure websites aren’t in a list.
However, if you have it on, they have a section you can opt in (I think it is opt in) to send extra data to help with the security filter.
That telemetry may seem like too much for some people, but I think it’s the only thing in AdGuard products that collects data, and even then, it’s not for making the filter better and helping its development, not for selling data.
edit two weeks later: Fixed what I meant to say, thankfully people knew what I meant and upvoted.
