I trimmed the trunk because it was growing quite tall and spindly. Is there any way to continue growing the main trunk or will it only grow branches now?
Pinching’ describes a type of pruning that encourages plants to branch out along the stem to become fuller and more bushy. When you pinch out a plant, you remove the top of the main stem, forcing the plant to grow two new stems from the leaf nodes below the pinch.
Subsequently, you can try grafting but you need some healthy plant to take from if your going for aesthetics.
Let it heal though before doing anything. I feel thing thing needs leaves for energy
I looked into sponsoring a White Faced Scops Owl for us, but they were all in the UK or Africa and were all parts of packages that came with physical items and perks, so that all sounded a bit involved. Mine is “What we do in the shadows” I watch it every winter at least once, and I always turn it on as a backround on chirstmas family meatings, its always funny because people still dont get it if its a seriuos movie or a comedy.
Anyone that would be wanting to disable the camera wouldn’t be physically in the store…they would already have access to the network and would just turn it off remotely or disable the thing entirely.
Frankly, I don’t care…you went to a kids park with a weapon intended to kill and you want to pass judgement on someone for having a beer and being loud.
So I’ve eaten everything from sardines and toast to balut. I have never really found foods I don’t enjoy, except for Indian food…and balut but that’s a whole other story....
Then that garbage goes into the landfill, gets sold overseas, falls off the boat and instantly back in its mouth.
Cleaning garbage hardly does anything, it only fixes what you can see then it goes into hiding…everyone needs to stop consuming. Today was garbage day in my neighbourhood…I had 1/2 a black bag and like 3 plastic bottles for 2 weeks. Neighbours threw out 7 bags and 3 recycling bins of plastic.
I’d like to see a robot build itself without the means to build itself. Logic is one thing, but you can’t physically fabricate things without the infrastructure there to do it.
Google hits a paywall. On the heels of a deal struck last week between Ottawa and Google, the search behemoth will pay Canadian news publishers $100 million/year for the privilege of hosting their content. And? It’s not like the phone made yesterday is actually any better… Phones have basically plateaued. They will not replace an actual computer no matter how much stupid marketing terms they invent.
I personally don’t care because if a company isn’t paying you for your time/work, that’s their problem to sort out, not mine. I will go where the music is. If artists start leaving Spotify and it becomes a wasteland of nothing but trash, then I’ll find new places to get it from. Why should I worry about their income? I’m paying for a service, I get the service and use it. I have my own income issues to handle, I don’t need theirs too.
Edit: to this rant because I think they deserve it. I’m guessing they did have a ton out bot orders that they cancelled because they are back in stock and my order went through....

Ugh I hope this doesn’t become normal for Lemmy, or at least they give us a way to block gifs and whatnot in comments. I hated that when Reddit forced it and instantly blocked ever seeing them.
I see no difference tbh, but you do you. I wish the feature was/is there for people to use, but I enjoy not seeing gifs and having them auto load and hope for counter options.
