I knew someone that delivered for Doordash. They proudly shared that they would tamper with and eat the delivery food, song with other scumbag crap they would do. This person was an all-around POS. Since then, I never order Doordash anymore.
I seem to have a problem with internet connectivity. I use NetworkManager with Proton VPN on an Arch KDE system. The wifi and VPN stay connected, but every once in a while the upload and download rates will go down to, at most, a few hundred KiB/s. The issue can be solved temporarily by disconnecting and reconnecting the VPN,...
I had issues with the Proton VPN app on my desktop, but my laptop had no problems despite them both using Linux Mint. However, I had no problems with Proton if I set it up via OpenVPN, and Proton has a great guide on doing that.
That’s assuming that his goal is to run a profitable social media company that people respect, enjoy, and that makes profit. However, he’s loaded af and can easily pay for the best consultants in the world. Considering that, I think it’s possible that he might be reaching his goals, they’re just not what we assume they are.

Bro 1: I am interested in your level of sexual arousal at the bar. Will you please share that information with me?
Bro 2: I am excited to tell you that I was so aroused that my penis was fully erect, I almost felt the immense pleasure of orgasm and soiled my clothes with ejaculate.
Bro 1: Your enthusiastic sexual arousal report makes me happy. Let’s touch hands.
My password manager told me that my info was leaked, including IP address, address, email, personal information, and phone number, in a data breach of eye4fraud.com. However, I don’t use eye4fraud, so it must have been a site that uses their services. I would like to change my login credentials on the site that shared my data...
They only said it was eye4fraud. When I looked into that site since I’ve never knowingly used them, I found out that they manage security for other sites.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a new law on Wednesday that aims to stop other states from prosecuting doctors and pharmacists who mail abortion pills to patients in places where the procedure is banned....
This law reminds me of a similar issue before the civil war. From what I remember, the issue was that northern states were forced to send people that escaped enslavement back to the south. The north was sick of that crap, stopped, and the south got upset and formed their failed cessation.
If I had kids, I would make something like this and have my sister believe it’s my kid’s schedule to really wind her bullshit up. If she’s going to waste my time listening to her hate, I’m going to waste her time making her angry.

21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
Uh oh! Ham and woke Noah better not be in any elementary schools teaching kids about drunk gay incestuous nudity.
I’m curious what people here listen to, and I’m also looking for new ones to check out. I’m personally a big fan of Linux Unplugged, MBMBaM, Lateral, and Twenty Thousand Hertz!...
thank you!! this country has a narcissism problem. the hyper-focus on individuality and celebrities not only encourages it, but celebrates it. lots of people look up to narcissistic psychopaths as if being a ruthless egotistical asshole is something to strive for.
i knew a guy that had one poster up, and it was of Tony Montana from Scarface. he would show it off to people as if he were unaware he was indirectly telling everyone that he was an asshole. the guy i knew looked up to a machiavellian drug dealer that easily murdered anyone that got in his way of wealth and power, despite that Tony had a horrible relationship with his wife, was paranoid, and ended up dying from his own shit behaviors.
i knew a girl with a social circle that was all about social media likes. her and her best friend went to Hawaii to take pictures to post on instagram and facebook. i mean, they spent thousands of dollars and planned their days out in Hawaii around going to scenic places so they could waste hours taking and retaking 100s of pictures to post a few of the best ones. these girls had terrible relationships characterized by antagonism and competition. they would hit on each other’s boyfriends and cheat on their own, then get surprisingly upset if anyone else did a 1/10 of what they did to their so-called friends and boyfriends. it was disgusting how they treated each other. even their own individual mentality was marred by these delusions of grandiosity and entitlement that weren’t rooted in rationality or care for others.
whenever i visit other countries, i’m refreshed by the humanity of people there. i think it’s one of the reasons i like traveling so much. i just cannot deal with the narcissism here. it’s exhausting and alienating. anyone have any tips on how to remedy these feelings i get?

yeah, im this 🤏 close to unsubscribing from any news related communities. the comments are mostly repetitive circle-jerks and antagonistic in-fighting. it’s really affecting my time on here.
Because having to block 2 fanaticus communities every time a game is finished because there’s a post in the winning and losing teams community is rapidly getting old, and I have no idea how many teams of how many different sports exist on that server, but it seems like a hell of a lot.
and porn. i dont want to be in the waiting room of my doctor’s office looking like a perv, but i also don’t want to block all nsfw content and miss out on half of the funny stuff.
I started and moderate !autism and was invited to moderate !audhd. It can be a lot of work. The main tasks are (1) figuring out and implementing ways to grow the community, (2) finding other moderators that will be a good fit, (3) addressing suggestions and complaints made by users, (4) creating rules that discourage toxicity while trying not to limit freedom, and (5) deciding on mod interventions.
Luckily, these communities have been great. The users are just awesome people, and my fellow mods are amazing. Still, of those, 5 is the most taxing for me. I try to be as considerate and fair as possible, so it takes a lot of energy to make those decisions. Also, I’ve been dreading it even though it hasn’t happened, but from what I’ve heard, having to deal with troubling posts such as child sexual assault material, gore, etc.
Tips:
Make sure to recruit a good mod team. It helps to have others to discuss mod actions with. Also, some days, I just don’t have the energy to mod.
Treat your users with respect and compassion. I’ve seen lots of subs and communities where the mods are on some power trip or treat their users as subordinates. It reminds me of jaded cops. This creates an antagonism between you and your community.
Be kind to yourself. You’re doing your best, and no one is perfect, even if the users insist on perfection.
Frequently take time off from moderating to recover.
Network with other relevant communities for growth and insight opportunities.
Aside from zoning laws, there’s the lack of a unified federal intervention. This prevents any one area from addressing the local homeless issue because any area that takes steps to address it will consequently absorb more homeless individuals from other places in the country. For example, if a city in California develops a program to house any homeless individuals, then homeless individuals from other cities and states will be more likely to go to said city to get housed. Even worse, there are states that would actually pay for their transportation. What would happen is that either the city would have to solve a much larger homeless problem as new homeless move into town, or the initial wave of homeless people will be house while the new arrivals and homeless will stay homeless, leaving a continued homeless problem.
I think the argument is that economics and politics are not independent of each other. They are two sides of the same coin. Whomever controls the food supply has power over the population, which means it has political power. Whomever has power over the population, has power over the food supply. Basically, economics and politics are different perspectives on power.
For example, the political structures in the West create the rules over who gets to obtain power through the economy. From the other direction, the people with economic power get to control who gets to obtain power through the political structures.
Me too. I became a boundary border guard. Never again. The first girl I dated after her got cancelled real quick. I didn’t bother over-explaining or falling for bait to argue. I said that I need time alone, and if she didn’t like that, then bye ✌️

cool! i went with kubuntu, but am interested in other distros because of the issues with snap. i’ve heard good things about kde neon. what do you think about that? any other kde recommendations? im not a linux amateur professional, btw.
I’m waiting for my brain to come back, then I’ll do some testing. You’re right about Debian being a bit behind for my taste. I hear great things about Fedora, but that means I’d have to learn a whole new distro compared to Debian based ones. I still might give it a try on a laptop to see what I think. Arch is way too much for my level of Linux competence and willingness to put effort into learning and troubleshooting it. I’ve heard good things about Tuxedo OS, though the YouTuber that promoted it was transparent that he was being paid by Tuxedo for advertisement.
If you don’t mind sharing just a little, what do you think I should know or read up on regarding switching to Fedora? Or another way of asking is what difficulties can I expect and how can I prepare? I’m guessing the terminal commands, installation process, and package repos would work differently? Also, since Fedora uses a different package system (so not deb), would I be more limited on what programs I can install in general?
