As a Christian most of the circles I’m around are pretty chill…no stone-cold fundamentalists. But I have been around people (and even had family members) who are 100% convinced that rock music is evil and will lead people to engage in witchcraft and draw pentagrams all over their home....
Some blues guitarist back in the day sold his soul to the devil to become the greatest guitar player of his time and with his powers he wrote a album and invented rock n’ roll.
That sounds like it would make a great movie setup.
We were visting my girlfriend’s family in Slovakia. Her cousin, who is an airline pilot, was also visiting at the same time and he spend his vaccation flying a small single prop plane to drop of parachutist at a small local airport. Really small. The runway literally was a just a field of gras. However it does have a MiG-21 flighter jet just causually chilling next to it. No fence or anything, it’s just sitting there next to the road.
Anyway, so wie visited the small airport and watched my GF’s cousin for a few hours. After he was done dropping all the parachutist, he still had a little fuel left, so offered to give us a little joyride, which we accepted.
Now I’m not sure if thats the standard for small planes used for the described purpose, but that plane was completly empty. There were the two pilots seats and behind that just … empty plane. No seats, no handles. It was a bit odd, but I didn’t think much about it … until we took off … with the DOOR OPEN. So we cowered as far away from the door, trying to hold on to anything.
Eventually her cousin turned arouned, smirked and laughed and eventually closed the door. The flight was a lot more enjoyable after that.
My brother traveled to New Zealand and met another Germans there. After talking a bit they discovered they were from same city, the same district in the city … and the same street. He randomly met our neighbour from 2 houses down on the other side of the world.

I use one credit card for groceries and other essential items and another one for “luxury” expenses like buying hardware, games, online subscriptions and such.
Other than that I just use my default online banking to occationally check that everything is alright.

How so? I think it perfectly encapsulates human culture.
People literally gather in rooms to listen jokes (comedy clubs, stand up performances etc). And others gather in different rooms to listen to music, for example. But if you show up in the music room and start performing stand-up, people will tell you, you’re in the wrong place.
I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
That “The Man from Earth (2007)” is the best movies there is. I recommend it to people all the time but no one seems to realise how profoundly interesting it is. And it doesn’t need any scenery or special effects. It’s literally just conversation and dramatic music, tuned to perfectly tell a story that touches on many philosophical questions. I just love that film.
Mine is “What we do in the shadows” I watch it every winter at least once, and I always turn it on as a backround on chirstmas family meatings, its always funny because people still dont get it if its a seriuos movie or a comedy.
I’ve actually never seen that, but I’m a huge Matt & Trey fan. I need to fix that.
I’m going to watch “Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics” which is also a great watch for the season. For me that was the first time they really showed their musical abilities.

Sometimes there are no better seeders. I’m currently downloading a 150GB torrent file and there is literally 1 seeder that isn’t always online. And I get like 100 kbits/s from them.
It’s been a few months of runniny may torrent client almost 24/7, but it’s currently at 99.81%

You’re technicall still using the company’s resources (it costs some energy to run the empty train), so I still don’t think it really compares to piracy.
But since they are miniscule compared to what they are wasting by running largley empty trains I think it’s morally ok in that case.
