Hello, everybody! I want to have a little mini-PC for gaming that operates like a console. I don’t want to have a big, clunky case in the back or front of the TV. Furthermore, I don’t play many AAA titles from recent years, so the hardware doesn’t need to be high-end. It would be nice if I could run Scarlet Nexus, Nier:...

Well, I have to say that Harmonoid is the best one I’ve found, it has a ton of cool features, it works and it allows you to be able to see your collection by album and it doesn’t use Electron. Right now its development has stalled a bit but it’s still pretty much in good shape, though.
Coworkers have been complaining on Teams all day about how the Bing bar is suddenly showing up on their desktops. When did Microsoft stop giving a fuck about businesses? I wish to fucking god we could run Linux on our work machines.
EDIT: The only reason why I still had it at this point was because I could use it with other apps. However, now that my Spotify Subscription is cancelled, it doesn’t work with anything. It’s mildly infuriating because today, I can’t still use it with other apps like I was able to yesterday....
Blacklist everything then whitelist the IPs you know you’ll be connecting from (work, cell phone, etc). I don’t connect from random places usually. If I need to then I use cellular. You might be better off with a VPN if you need to connect from random places.
Is there any concern with whitelisting a cellular CGNAT’s public IP?
It depends on how much you decide to whitelist. In my case I whitelist my cellular carrier’s IP block. Which does expose those services a little more broadly but I’m willing to risk it.

I’m all for paying a little more for a machine that puts Linux and FOSS first. Dell and Lenovo are cheaper, sure, but you’re supporting the Windows/closed source ecosystem.
I recently moved Nextcloud and Gitea from Containers on a Debian VM to Alpine LXCs running Alpine’s packages. I’ve never had Nextcloud’s web interface so snappy and my resource usage for both is next to 0. If you’re running Proxmox I’d highly recommend trying out Alpine LXCs if they package your services.
