Add it to the list of things wrong with Texas.

Same, except its a legit pro license and I slip-streamed all of the last updates including the windows POS updates and firefox into an unofficial service pack 4 for convenience.

@thingsiplay why are you reducing every comment I post? I can see you're doing them all at once via my profile...

Which part? The only thing I don't see from a legal standpoint is a smoke detector. The bathroom will need to have a functional vent to the outside as well.

Am I missing something here? The immunized images just look like they've been 'glazed' which has been a thing for a few months.

Edit: ah I see, the original glaze could only protect against training and this supposedly will make an image protected against img2img diffusion which explains why it's visual impact is more pronounced.

We should leave the /s back on reddit

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@kbin.social avatar

I'm going to go without it from now on. I can handle clarifying myself if it's absolutely necessary for someone.

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@kbin.social avatar

I've noticed it's only specific comments too. I was able to upvote yours fine but on another comment in a different thread I tried 5-6 times and gave up. It doesn't seem to matter if the user or comment or post is local to Kbin.social or any other instance either.

It stands for pedo. Minor attracted person.

Voyajer,

Twitter is Twitter. Facebook is Facebook too for that matter.

Yup, content consumption algorithms almost always seem to push ragebait, clickbait, and other low quality results.

Any plans for monitoring kbin instances?

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@kbin.social avatar

The whole reason they're running an out of season /r/place event is to drive traffic.

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@kbin.social avatar

I doubt reddit won't try to sanitize place like last time

Valve hasn't ever taken 40%. Their cut starts at 30% and drops to 20% after some gross sales threshold. Also steam keys have zero cut and half of your total steam platform sales can be keys meaning if you're effective at selling keys you can have an effectively 10% cut.

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@kbin.social avatar

It's the theoretical minimum effective cut attainable on steam.

Adnas, even though it's based on ublock, I've noticed it doesn't catch an ad occasionally even when set up the same.

Aligns with what my friends who've had the (mis)fortune to have had the chance to try it have said.

I've actually noticed a lot of the plexiglass barriers are still up recently, for whatever reason.

What features you may be missing from reddit would you like to see? (kbin.social)

What the title says. I think the site needs to reach critical mass sooner rather than later, and on top of the relatively low activity for now, we want to avoid obstacles to new migration, even if it's small convenience stuff. So, what would make your life easier as a kbin user?...

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@kbin.social avatar

The indent of an OP's replies is a different color and dashed to differentiate from other users. I agree it could be something more prominent though.

Voyajer,

Flairs, and as a bonus, user tagging from RES.

Voyajer,

That doesn't sound bad to me at all.

Linux for Microsoft Surface devices. It is reality! (cloudblogs.microsoft.com)

I would like to share with you a very cool project that develops drivers for correct operation of Microsoft Surface devices on Linux. I myself use Surface Pro 6 with these drivers and everything works like a charm (battery life is good, cameras work, stylus, keyboard, touchscreen, screen). The developers are gods. From myself, I...

Aw, no Surface RT tablet support. Mine is a paperweight at this point Windows RT is almost nonfunctional.

Do you upvote your own posts and comments? (kbin.social)

Since on most fediverse instances you don't automatically upvote your own comment, do you do it manually? What's considered "proper etiquette"? Because on Reddit your stuff is self-upvoted automatically, while in YT comment sections comments with 1 like sometimes get called out for liking their own comment. Do we have an...

No, it's kind of weird we can upvote our own stuff anyway. We wouldn't submit it if we didn't support what we were saying anyway.

Since adobe firefly doesn't run locally, they could just implement a classifier/tokenizer that looks at the image and gives it a "nudity" rating where if it is rated too high the service could refuse to send the generated image to the user along with logging the attempt.

That's pretty much were I'm at with my design. As long as I can get the extruded filament to the point where my printers can reliably feed on it I'll be happy to use it for prototypes at least.

GPT detectors are biased against non-native English writers (www.cell.com)

GPT detectors frequently misclassify non-native English writing as AI generated, raising concerns about fairness and robustness. Addressing the biases in these detectors is crucial to prevent the marginalization of non-native English speakers in evaluative and educational settings and to create a more equitable digital...

We've known those AI paper detection services were junk from the get go with their huge false positive rate on even native English papers.

Would a significant portion of steamdeck users browse the Internet from it though? I found browsing too cumbersome on mine and in every case it was easier to just pull my phone out and surf that way.

ChatGPT has probably trained on the bulk of the Internet's Linux support threads and manages for various commands now that I think about it.

We really need a way to block communities on mobile without having to actually enter them. (kbin.social)

I’m sure there are ways to do this on desktop, but in mobile, as far as I can tell, if I come across a nsfw community on my thread and I want to block I, I can’t do that without first clicking on the link to the community feed.

They're both compatible with eachother so the only functional differences are in brick aesthetics and which brand is on the box.

Depending on how long ago you tried blender the UI has improved significantly. As far as parametric CAD goes, supported options are still limited. For use in wine someone is working on making easy installers for fusion and solidworks that supposedly work but I just use a virtual machine.
