Do you have a tv connector for your hearing aides to connect to or is it connecting straight to the television?

Work in retirement home where lots of people use hearing aides with their televisions. Have not come across this issue.

Most connect via an external device paired to their hearing aide specifically.

My mom had a 90s f150 Thing was a tank and had two gas tanks.

We called it the magic button. Would be on empty and watching it switch from empty to full was satisfying.

What was not satisfying was filling up 2 tanks after procrastinating.

Have a Leatherman multi tool that was a company gift for my grandmother 20 years ago.

Very sturdy, in a switchblade style so it works as a fidget too.

Also the wahl peanut electric razor. 50 dollars and the most dependable razor I’ve used. Had for at least 7 years

Disco Elysium helped me understand addiction from an addicts point of view. Had personal experience with addiction from the loved ones perspective, could not get beyond my own feelings.

Specifically the phone call scene. It is so depressingly desperate in a realistic way. It could not have been written unless someone knew firsthand how those calls go.

It helped me look beyond myself and think of the daily hell that is a recovering addicts life. Directly helped me with my grief.

Such a beautifully written game.

It’s inherently niche. If reddit has more controversies can see more waves coming over.

I like the vibe of the smaller forum, but would be lying if I said I use it as much as reddit.

Lemmy still scratches my forum need, but I found myself devoting more time to other things. Probably for the best honestly. 🤷‍♂️

Am also new, have tried 2 distros. Not even close to an expert but this had been my experience as a new user.

Mint was easy but a little too squeaky for me.

Used manjaro next and like the environment of xfce over cinnamon by a large margin.

As others suggested would try out a couple first, possibly on an old laptop. Then when you find the one you like can switch over your main system.
